I purchased a stereo system and when I got it home it would not play a cd, I could not get an am/fm station to come in because it didn't come with an antenna and the docking station was falling apart. When the manager is the worst and the employee should be the manager. Ahmed is an employee in this store and, few days ago, he helped me greatly with our t mobile needs. We came tonight with the frustration that we are being billed more than usual and the manager was there at that time. I explained my frustration and he asked that we call 611. I agreed and I asked him if we can be in the store so they have some sort of correlation's along the call. He showed a rude attitude and kept saying "I can't help with anything!" I said "I know. that's okay!" A good manager would say "that's alright, you're welcome to stay until things are sorted" with a smile and a good attitude. Yet he didn't. Mind you, I was with my 65-yo father and my disabled brother. I started calling 611 and I asked my father to get something from the car. With the rudest behavior ever, he said not to "keep going back and forth into the store". I asked him to be more polite and that I didn't appreciate his tone. "Get the hell out of my store!" He replied. My father and I asked for his name but he kept refusing. My father was about to call the police but I told him not. We walked out and immediately filed a complaint against him through T mobile customer service. I'm grateful for the person who was with me on the phone who helped me sort out my issues. And I'm also grateful for Ahmed. I look forward to knowing that T mobile took serious actions towards this rude, misbehaving manager.

    My boyfriend and I were traveling from Arizona and were interesting in switching from Sprint to…read moreVerizon. 3 years ago when we initially got our iphones, we had gone through Best Buy in Rochester as well, and had a very pleasant, easy experience. Given the fact that we had tried to do this transition in Arizona and the employees at the Best Buy in Arizona were complete idiots and not helpful at all, we figured we would have better luck in our home state, which, for starters, doesn't rank at the bottom of the educational scale. What a difference in customer service, product know-how, and plan in's and out's. We worked with Cody during the time that we were trying to figure all of this out, and he was amazing. He explained everything in a manner that was clear and concise, and he did everything he could to get us a new plan and some new phones. Alas, Verizon just rolled out a very SkyNet-esque fraud policy that locks down applications that are from people who are out of state. This policy is new and apparently cannot be overridden by supervisors. The minute one person unlocked it, the computer automatically relocked it. It was very frustrating for us and for the people trying to help us. What was most frustrating is knowing that we would have to do this transaction back in Arizona, where printing shopping cart lists off of BestBuy.com seems to be about the extent of the experience their employees have. However, Cody did everything right, and spent a significant amount of time trying to help us. We appreciated that so much, and truly wish that things would have worked out for us to have given him our business. All of you in the Rochester area, go see Cody at Best Buy Mobile...he'll get you all set up...as long as you're not from another state. ;)

    An abomination of a company. I am currently on hold to dispute a $450 charge after cancelling my…read moreservice 7 months ago. Good luck finding a phone number to call, it took me 10 minutes on the ap but here it is: (800-603-6000). Then you wait on hold for another 15 minutes of idiotic automated prompts to finally speak with a human. To the companies credit the actual humans working there are kind and patient - Im sure they catch flack 24/7 due to the companies atrocious services and billing systems. I know I will never see credit for months I was charged last year for non-functioning services. Their internet sucks and is way over-priced - go with Go with quantum fiber who are better (but also not awesome). Just spoke with customer service in real time and they stated "yes we have been having problems closing down accounts properly and this happens a lot" - 3rd call to fix this same issue. Also be sure to tell them they DO NOT have permission to sell your info as it seems as though the default is they do. My PSA Beware automatic payments in general as companies will happily take your money - stick with paper bills to make sure you catch these crooks trying to rip you off.

Because they make you sign up for automatic payments, you can't just pay them what you owe. They take what they want and apparently have no incentive to get it right. To get the total of $120 in overcharges back, I may have to take them to court. Why won't they refund me the overcharges they refused to stop when I caught them? Ironically, they told me that, even though I had proof that we'd completed all forms BEFORE we had service and qualified for the lower rate at that time, they "can't" refund the overcharges "retroactively." I will get that money back.
