For most everything I would recommend this location. But until they replace the current business representative Connor, I would highly recommend you go elsewhere for your business needs. My wife and I had the unfortunate experience of working with him when he stated he could move us from a personal plan to a business which w old save us money. We were excited to save money as anyone typically is and moved forward. Prior to the end of the transaction he stated to us what are bill would be with turning on Autopay. Yet when we received our bill, his statement was far from the truth. We in fact saved no money and our bill was about $70 higher per month than we were paying and $140 more than he said we would be paying. Upon contacting customer service we were advised to go into store to discuss this with Connor and his manager. That's what we did. A sales rep and floor lead explained it would require getting Connor and his direct manager involved to resolve the many issues that he had created. Well Connor reached out and is now stating that isn't what he said and I advised I wanted to speak with his manager and we could all sit down to discuss the issues. Connor advised that his manager does not get involved with issues or customer service. So who holds him accountable for his actions? I can no longer get my old plan back. The option presented to me by Connor is to return my equipment if I want the bill to be what he stated. During the conversation I was polite yet direct about what he did and that he was not honest with us at the time. He then attempted to tell me to stop yelling, which I was not I was currently at an appointment with my wife and am not the type to yell. He chose to speak to me in an unprofessional and condescending tone to which I continued to request a manager. Should his manager care I have this in text a proof as well. I've spent hours on the phone with support for them to try and fix the issue yet there is no complete fix now and no one apparently to hold him accountable for his actions. In the end he is another sales rep looking for a pay day, doing things without permission or accountability. I have had no issues with Verizon in the past and because of supports great service I hold no ill feelings towards the company. The issue is in Connor being allowed to do and say whatever he wants to in order to deceive customers. read more

Of all days my iPhone stopped working on Black Friday. I went to the Verizon store at 1899 Perryville in Rockford, IL. I was truly overwhelmed by the service I received from Dominic. He didn't take advantage of my frustration of needing a new phone on the year's busiest shopping day. He was so patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and kind. I have been a Verizon customer since the early 1990s, and he has been the second most positive and impressive employee I have dealt with. read more

Verizon was sending a friend a phone. He wasn't asked which service to send, nor that there would be any requirements. Verizon used Fed Ex. As friend drives a semi for a living over the road, he had it sent to my address. Fed Ex claimed to be delivering it. .never left a note, nothing. Couple days after supposed to be delivered he called, got a person (difficult because they want online blah) and they have been trying to deliver, but need a signature. Uuuhhhh Verizon, if you're going to use this company, we NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS. I teach. I'm not home in the morning or evenings this week because of conferences. Had we realized, i wouldve had them come to school to deliver. Then, they want the signature to MATCH customer name? He's 2000 miles away. Verizon stop putting barriers in place. Explain requirements or simply use the USPS so it goes safely in a mailbox. read more

Irish took offense to my mother saying that she spent a shit ton of $ at Verizon! LOL Verizon customer service via their 1800# really went the extra mile and were able to help us out with the issue we were experiencing, unlike Irish at this store. Walked in to buy a $2,000 phone. Walked out so angry that I'm getting rid of everything verizon and cancelling my account after 7 years. My id had expired and the went absolutely nuts over it giving me a 10 minute lecture on how the FTC is going to shut them down over it. I had other id including a valid account, ss card, mail with my info on it a verizon credit card, etc. Still they were dxpecting the FTC any minute. Wear some tall boots if you go here. Better yet, just avoid this store and go to a different carrier I am now done with this company forever. I don't give my business or money to bs companies with rude employees. read more

I agree with Vince, I would rather shoot myself in the foot than have to come into a Verizon store. Do not expect to come here and buy anything... You will wait 30 minutes just to checkout since you have to wait behind everyone troubleshooting their phone. Why do I need to wait so that I can continue to pay more for service than any other carrier? It's almost like they do not want to sell anything as they have no dedicated person checking out. The only reason I am currently sitting here is because phone support told me I had to get a new SIM card for my iPhone. This location is especially bad, probably do to location and the fact there are only two locations in Rockford. read more

Waited for service for over 2 hours. The girl who greeted us was nice but waiting for so long is ridiculous.

Excellent service from Derek, I had an issue with my network on my phone and he was able to upgrade me to an awesome iPhone XR and gave me some GREAT deals on my trade in! Really took the extra effort to give me the most for my trade in phone. I was able to get a wireless speaker and a google home mini for free with my trade in. Again he made sure I was getting the most. He also encouraged me to take advantage of the Black Friday deals they had going on; with the purchase of my case and screen protector (a necessity when buying a new device) I got a google pixel stand with purchase! Got some great deals today thanks to his great customer service. read more

I lost my phone last night I called. Verizon they cancelled my phone and told me I had insurance for a new phone , today I went to the Verizon store on State St, I always try to have a good attitude going in this store because every time I'm there the attitude of the employees is awful , they are rude , talk down to you , the manager today was a African American man , hostile , Bad manners , acts like he's God , I asked to speak with him a few feet away from the entrance he told me NO ! he had to stand by the door +, but he had no problem socializing with the other employees , I told him how I hated coming in this store and another woman ( customer ) said I hate coming in here too! This so called manager was verbally abusive , treated me like a prisoner in a jail sell not as a 69 year old woman with manners , so I told him don't talk to me that way , he then tried to throw me out of the store , This person needs to be a bouncer in a bar ! He made me cry I was very embarrassed , I'm still shaking as he humiliated me ,the employees all kiss his ass for some reason , i will never go back to this store , this person doesn't have a clue how ignorant he is , they don't value you as a customer Or a human being , for some reason they feel they have the right to be this way , one employee out in the open was on his cell phone talking to his young son asking if he was being good for his grandparents , with the speaker on like everyone does in there work place ......the manager told the employee that helped me that if I got hot with him to throw me out ! I recently stopped in the Rockford Verizon Wireless store to close out a bill on 2 phones previously purchased for my sons. A rep met us at the door and informed me that in order to pay off both phones that day, I would need 2 credit cards and there would be 2 separate transactions, 1 for each phone. Huh??? How ridiculous!! I also wanted to cancel another line and was told I'd have to go home and call a number to take care of that bit of business, ..".we can't do that from here" naturally I had questions on why things were being handled in this manner and he proceeded to get quite nasty very quickly. I don't know if it's just this store or if Verizon's customer service is like this throughout the company, but they even give Comcast a run for their money... and Comcast is about the worst in my opinion. I have had trouble more times than not in the Rockford IL, Verizon Wireless store over the years so that was the last straw. Enough is enough! When I got back home I cancelled 4 lines and now use a different wireless carrier. This one seems to understand the importance of good customer service. And one other thing... I saved $75 by moving my business. SO... If you are ever in the Rockford IL VERIZON store, try to avoid a guy named ANDREW. This person is obviously morally bankrupt and has the manners of a dingo!! read more

Poor customer service, always busy with long waits. The employees appear laxidasical with bad manners and a always seem disgusted when they have to help people. I think I'd rather set my phone on fire and get the ins coverage than ask them to help with tech support. read more

I understand that in this day in age we have to get our money any way possible. However, it is very unprofessional to tell a customer that you can't take care of them when they're in front of you because you are about to close. You weren't busy to sell my father the new iPhone 6 which I'm sure you got some type of kickback for, but you were too busy to properly activate his phone. My father's phone was not activated when he got home and they messed up his payment. And then we had to prove to them that the payment was wrong after being told it was done right by the representative. Needless to say this store's customer service level is below poor. read more

Excellent customer service every time I come into the store. Staff is always hospitable, friendly, courteous, and takes the time to address all of your issues. Always talks in terms that you can understand. Much different than the stores in Southern California. read more
