    This happens every evening when people get home from work. Packets are lost, latency increases and speed decreases.

    Our building in River North recently brought in Zentro, replacing AT&T to save money. TV and 1 GB Fiber service used to be included in our amenity fee (+ small cost for speed upgrade to 1 GB), now just 1 GB internet is included without the TV service with Zentro. I am less than impressed. I've only seen speeds up to 700-800 mbps during the day and the service always degrades in the evenings when everyone is using streaming services. I have a Firewalla device that constantly monitors my internet connection, and I posted a picture that illustrates the service degradation. If you lookup Zentro's infrastructure and other reviews, you'll find that residents share an internet pipe, and that microwave technology is used to beam internet between buildings in the area. Apparently if a building goes out in the chain, all others go out as well. We're done with the buffering and waiting and will be going back to AT&Ts fiber internet, even at an additional cost to us (The Zentro service costs us $0 extra) And AT&Ts customer service is god awful. That bad.

    From first to worst. After years of stellar service and support, Zentro/Everywhere Wireless has somehow become worse than RCN and Comcast. For over a month, our building has been beleaguered by poor speed and an unstable connection causing VPN and video conference disconnections. Repeated contact to Zentro and all they say is "it's going to be a while." I have called on average every other day for a month to get updates and am promised a call back. I have not received a single response. Wait times to speak to support are also abysmal. Not even Comcast or RCN were this bad. I have to think this is the result of the private equity takeover of Everywhere Wireless and merger into Zentro. Avoid at all costs.

So far, no such luck. They're value is nothing and they are most incompetent. So again they may seem good, but they're awful. They don't have any places located near us and have to come from far away, so I imagine their tech guys are very limited to when they can come. Another example of why big companies shouldn't be able to buy up the little ones like WOW, which was actually a good cable company that we had no problems at all with. Like every other company, there customer service seems to be a thing of the past. We will be switching to a different company as soon as possible and never looking back. Fuck Astound.

I call them and they confirmed they did receive the equipment and said I would not receive anymore emails about needing to return the equipment. I still was getting the same emails and called back a 2nd time in which they again confirmed they have the returned equipment and I asked that they forward this info on to whatever dept that doesn't know the equipment was retuned and was told I wasn't billed in which I replied that doesn't mean I won't be billed tomorrow. Well here it is in January and I was billed $220.00 for the equipment. I call for the 3rd time and they check to confirm they received the equipment and respond to my queries that there is nothing they can do or no other phone number/dept that I can call and that it will need to go thru two billing cycles for it to clear up. What a fing poor crap system they have and that I'm lied to the first two times I call and the third time I called was I waste of time. Pure harassment is what this is. I hope it ends. I will send them my bill for my time. Oh and did I mention that their internet Air sucks! What happened to AT&T?

Requested a supervisor, received a claim none were on duty and I would receive a callback. No calls received. This company has lost all credibility with their customers. I wish I never would have done business with AT&T. Terms of sale were misrepresented, which is a serious offense.

However some things to note:…read more-The internet can be knocked out during bad weather (snow storms, thunderstorms, etc) since it is delivered wirelessly to the building (at least in my building's case). -Reliability when weather isn't a factor is incredibly high in my experience compared to other ISPs. -Speed is awesome. My building is supported for 100mbps, but I usually get around 200-300mbps download speeds, and at least 200mbps upload speed at all times. Sometimes my upload or download will peak around 500mbps. -Their support staff really knows their stuff. It's not like calling another ISP's support where you get tier1 support who asks you do to the basic troubleshooting. The support staff you get when you first call is likely the person who will truly be able to fix your issue. I work in IT, and absolutely appreciate this. THAT SAID, their hold times when calling for support are usually pretty terrible. I've been on hold before (including last night) for 1+ hours and then the call gets disconnected for whatever reason. Their email/online support is pretty lackluster. No way of updating or creating tickets online short of emailing them. In my current case, I've emailed them in response to a ticket and they seem to ignore the email altogether. I'm now trying to call them to get the issue resolved. Overall, I'd give them an A- as a grade. If they could up their support, it'd be the best ISP out there.

I complained and expected the worst, but it was literally the easiest experience ever. This nice install rep (hi Chris!) came perfectly on time and did the entire setup for us in a few minutes - he was very pleasant and funny. I had no idea what this new cable was, so he spent time explaining and showing us a few pointers to make sure we understood the software. It's like a no contract, no fee, amazing cable company that has even higher quality imaging. Plus virtually unlimited DVR space (Hello binge watching!) Oh and it's less expensive than what I'm paying for UGHHHHH. The Damage: I believe the price is different depending where you are, so worth calling to see. I also refuse to go to Comcast. I noticed an ad for Layer 3 tv online and decided to try it out. Let me preface by stating i have a 1gigabit internet thru the fine folks from RCN who also have excellent customer service. Layer3 TV is an internet based cable solution. Their feed runs thru your internet. and they have 4K. I admit i was skeptical at first but once i switched i have not looked back. The picture quality is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. They are new to the Chicago area so there are a few kinks but you can tell with the technology they use they will become a force. Please keep doing what you are doing I enjoy your services immensely.

The pricing is very reasonable, and hasn't changed in the last four years -- which given inflation is remarkable. When the internet went out on Friday, I was out of town for the weekend. When I got back on Sunday, my internet was still down. Alex came over Sunday night after carving pumpkins with his kids. He diagnosed that there must have been a power surge that took 6 or 7 units offline on Friday. In the process, my router got toasted. I live in an old building and I'm embarrased to admit I didn't have a surge protector on it. He not only diagnosed my dead router, he gave me a new one I could have until I got another one.
