Typically trying to change anything on your account takes a-lot of time and a huge headache. Its back and forth just trying to get the rep to understand what you need, and than a bunch of info everyone search and tries to find. So i was very very very surprised on how easy it was on my last trip to the Verizon store. Erik at Verizon very quickly understood what we wanted to do, got all the stuff set up, tested and working without any issued or back and forth. In fact he even looked online to see if there was any promotions we had potentially qualified for and got us a Mastercard value of $150 dollars for bring our own device. Erik was professional, pleasant and detailed. I really enjoyed my trip to this location Verizon store and will send all my friends there if they need anything done! read more

OK first I got my iPhone4 ($99) sweet deal over the internet and talked w/ a super nice woman who not only waived my early upgrade $20 fee, but she offered me a $30 credit for my old phone when my new phone got turned on through a mail-in rebate process. So I took the new iPhone that I received via UPS in two days (yay) to this store. FIRST IMPRESSION: Professional, well-laid out and super clean. No lines; in fact it was bliss - surprise! Nice, big store and everyone's giving out good vibes. Smiles around and Diane Roy came up to me and asked how she can help and I told her what I needed and she promptly said - "I can help you with that!" So get this: she opened up my iPhone, started charging it - looked up my account in the system - transferred my contact list to the new phone and asked what else do I need? Car charger? Check. Phone cover? Check - here's a bunch of samples to choose from. Oh - you picked out one that's on sale! Yay! Screen protector? Check. So what does she do next? She puts the phone protector on the iPhone. She puts on the screen protector (sweet). Then I mentioned the deal with the $30 credit and having to mail it in - I inquired how does it work? And Diane said - I can do that now and apply the $30 credit to your account or to what you're buying right now! Whaaaat? Really? Wowza. She goes in the back, brings a gift card to the register, takes all the history out of my old phone AND...transfers the photos from my old phone to my new phone! I am blown away and all the time, she is pleasant - sweet, in fact - professional - efficient and just friendly, good customer service. So instead of paying $50 something for the accessories, I only paid $20 something. This all happened in about 15-20 minutes max. I was in/out and a very, very happy customer. I highly recommend this Verizon store. It's a bit out of the way for me - but well worth the drive and will come back to this store for any other purchases/Verizon needs in the future as long as I'm living in the South Bay. read more

This is not my first time here. Truth be told, my previous experiences had always been unsatisfactory, as the wait is long and I was frequently ignored. The last two times I went this past Saturday, I was not surprised that the wait was still long, but I had no choice - I needed my new phone activated ASAP since I had lost my other phone. The "greeter" nonchalantly noted down my name and estimated a 15 minute wait. My baby sister needed to use the restroom so the greeter helpfully suggested we go to the Starbucks next door, apologizing for the lack of a restroom with long lines. When we came back, it was our turn. The technician Naomi informed me that the phone I had was not able to be activated because the SIM port as pushed back. When I made my way back here with one of my old phones, This time I got Carlos as the technician. To my surprise, he was super knowledgeable about tips and tricks. I will share a few of them here: 1. If you lost or had your phone stolen, it is important to report to your carrier immediately so that when somebody else with your phone tries to activate it at a store, it will show up as a lost/stolen phone. The store techs should take it away, although it doesn't always happen. 2. If you still have your grandfathered unlimited data plan, talk to Carlos about your options. You will learn something new... like I have. 3. The long wait is not so bad, as it is as scenic as could be in an urban area outside in the mini plaza with plenty of places to get food. Definitely not coming back to this location! Opened up an account back in December the worker (forgot HIS name) was helping me he told me I didn't have to pay my bill until January, but he forgot to mention that I would be paying two bills at once! Since I didn't know and no worker seemed to explain why my bill was so high I was also behind on payments! Finally called customer service because something wasn't right! Now I know why! If people come for a new iPhone they will leave with it so why not tell the whole truth?? I had the worst experiences ever at this Verizon location. I will never shop here again and if I didn't have this new contract with them I would never have Verizon as my cell phone provider. I've been a long time customer (20 plus years) and just purchased 3 phones that are $1000.00 dollars each and they could not transfer my information from my old phone to my new one? They sent me off with an instruction sheet? What the heck is wrong right there? I was back and forth with them from 11am till 4 pm. It was the worst experience ever! It was like buying a new car having to be there all day. Wait, worst than buying a new car. I had to be in the scorching sun for 50 minutes at two different times just to be even seen. If they know they are going to make customers wait in line, why aren't they putting canopy's out for them to stand under? If they are so concerned about the Covid and won't open your box from your new phone, why aren't they practicing sanitation procedures?...... Verizon! I wanna shout out to Val Estrada for helping me out at this location. She was totally cool and helpful and I probably came at the right time when it wasn't crowded too. Was looking for a hotspot and only saw the old ones on display and she went out to the back to grab them right as I asked where the new ones were. She even checked out my account and saw I could get double the data I had now for $20 more. Just wow, but I had to think about it as I don't use that much data, but I'll think about it. Overall my experience was great, they kept helping me out and had such a positive attitude. Definitely had a good experience and I will definitely come back if I need help. Came into this store about a fraudulent act by a Verizon retailer. Was turned away as the store manager as i quote him, "this is not a Verizon issue because it was not committed by an actual Verizon store." Despite the store being licensed by Verizon, this store manager could not connect things together. Maybe it was a bad day...maybe his standards were lowered.. maybe he has a learning disability...who knows. At another location speaking with a different rep, she refunded my losses and expressed regret, explained everything so I had absolutely nothing to say and filed a claim against the rep who was pulling side deals with my money but was too careless to cover his own track. Just because the store is in eastside, it doesn't mean the standard should ever get lowered. If there is a disconnect with his philosophy of how Verizon should run than re think it. If he just lacks complete knowledge, than go read the manual. If he can't do what a rep does somewhere else than why is he manager? read more

We had an excellent experience being helped by Giao at this Verizon King Road store, after we had a not so good experience at the Verizon Eastridge Mall store. If you read my other Yelp on Verizon Eastridge Mall location, you will know that I wanted to get my wife (the mother of our blessed little boy) the iPhone 7 Plus as a Mother's Day gift. I had called in advance to make sure this Verizon King Road location had the exact phone & color that she's been wanting for quite awhile now. After waited in line for about 8 minutes because of other customers ahead of me being assisted, I was greeted by Giao who asked how he may help me today. Upon telling him exactly what we wanted: the iPhone 7 Plus upgrade + lifetime screen protector + lifetime case protector + if possible to honor waiving the $30 upgrade activation fee that Verionwireless.com was willing to do because of loyalty customer since 2004, Giao said "Let me see what I can do." With these seven simple words (and after verifying my account and consulting with his boss), he made it happened. Not only was Giao able to credit us back the $30 upgrade activation fee, he discounted $10 off of each the normal priced $39.99 screen protector & case protector + credited us the maximum $60 trade-in worth of my wife's old iPhone 5S. He made sure her new phone was up and going ok with the backed up data transferred from the old phone, as well as making sure the screen protector was put on the new phone cleanly. Giao was very efficient, thorough, professional, and even gave us a few good advices about the lifetime warranty of the screen/case protectors and to safeguard the new phone because the latest iPhones are always target for theft. He told us to come back to him anytime if we have problem or need further assistance. I felt he went above and beyond his minimal duty of customer service, delivering a wonderful experience for me in accomplishing my Mother's Day mission for my wife. I walk into the store where I was promptly greeted by a woman holding a tablet, she asked me what is the purpose of my visit so i explainded my issus and she said that I would have to wait to speak to a sales person and that wait is about 15 minutes. I said okay no problem and I browse around the store, this woman continued to hang out by the front door where nobody walked in while I was waiting for over 20 minutes now. Another gentleman was standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing the whole time I'm waiting , I was really unsure why neither of them could have helped me. Well finally the sales person comes up to me and she really did not help me one bit. She even told me I did not have insurance, all they were really trying to do is sell me a new phone when I couldn't even use my existing contract to upgrade for a discount. Full retail price! They tried to get ovet $800 from me. I went to another Verizon location when they verified that I had insurance and also told me that I can upgrade, got a brand new phone and I only paid $54 plus taxes. I bought 2 Ipad cases at the Verizon Wireless's store on King Rd. on Saturday 08-27-2011, and wanting to return it. The policy stated that I have 14 days to return or exchange, so the last date of return/exchange should be on Saturday 09-10-211. I went to the store to return it. The ASS. (assistant Manager name LOUIS ) told me that I can't return it because it passed 14 days. Come on !!! Even the first grader knows that you don't count the date of purchased as 1 day. I don't know if the ASS. knows this simple addition, and told me that my last date to return is on Friday 09-09-11. This place is definitely the worst service I ever encounter. First off, I came in to activate a phone cause I no longer want to used the phone I was using. They told me to go to another location, the one at Eastridge. Even though they are a corporate store. Which I thought was the ridiculous. I was advised by the customer service phone rep that I needed to visit this store to return equipment. My father passed and I needed to disconnect his service and turn in equipment. Rather than hear me out, the manager, Alfredo wrote down the customer service phone number and stated I could call from the store as he wasn't able to do the disconnection. I called from my own phone which I thought was rude, and was told the same, the store needed to do it. He was unfamiliar with the procedure which I thought was pathetic. I can't possibly be the only person to ask about disconnecting for a death. geez- I was there for about 40 minutes. He was unable to follow the customer service phone rep's directions. I left unresolved. Ridiculous- On the other hand, Veronica, the phone rep has gone over and above. The acknowledged a system glitch but is sending me a return label, returned my call promptly and was very professional, informative and even sympathetic. read more

Caveat: I am an ATT customer for 4+ years because of the iPhone. I have never walked into a Verizon store before until today and I hope I never have to again. All my iPhones were bought through Apple up until now. We recently chose to buy our new iPhone5s through Verizon to get them without strings ($921 each). BIG REGRET. Mine arrived cracked and my husband's home button did not work. I immediately called Verizon and told them that my phone was cracked, ordered another phone (charged an additional $921), and was told to take it into a Verizon store for a refund. So I walk into this store and I told him I was there to return the iPhone5 after talking to customer service. Three times he tells me I have to call customer service which I already had, and three times he asks me to see the phones. I had just walked in and was still standing by the front door having this inane conversation with him. I had them in my purse. I expected to go up to a register where I could pull them out, and not stand there and hand over my almost $2000 purchase. After he asks me the third time for the phones I tell him I'd be happy to pull them out once we get to a register and he lets out a sigh. Really? What an A**hole. This is NOT customer service, and his pin with his name and title as "customer service representative" needed to be changed/removed. He basically wasn't doing his job. Once he got his hands on them he continued with, "We'll have to charge you a $35 re-stocking fee. I then said, "For what? Because I received a scratched phone?" I don't think so. That's ridiculous. Then he said, that I had to wait until he looked at my account. Blah, blah, blah. I would never get this treatment at Apple. If I ever had an issue with an item I bought at Apple, they would exchange it no questions asked, nor charge any re-stocking fees! Nor be A**holes. At Apple, I'd showed them my receipt, we exchanged, and that was that. No unnecessary conversation, repetitions, or issues. It was like I was speaking with an idiot. I already told him I called customer service and this is what they told me to do and now I am doing it. I didn't have any more time to waste with this guy. I told him that I wanted to speak with his manager, and I began to take my phones back and put them in my purse. He then told me to stop getting upset. Too late. The irritation was created at the door when you said, "Could I help you?", and clearly wasn't. It was tedious and frustrating just having to do this return since I received a damaged and also a broken phone. He didn't have to make the errand that much more difficult with his repetitive questioning. So I left. I mentioned to him that I now hate Verizon because of my experience with him and that I was an ATT customer anyway and now want to stay that way. Out of frustration I also yelled, "VERIZON SUCKS" on my way out. I have to admit, I have never been compelled to do that in my life. But there was something about this guy's ineptitude that I just refused to deal with and he lost his company a Verizon customer. Scam artist. My girlfriend and I go to the store to do a "cross upgrade". When I ask the rep for confirmation in regards to the "cross upgrade" she proceeds to ask her manager. When she comes back she says if we do a "cross upgrade" on her moms line (who has a basic phone) that she would have to have a data plan for 2 years if we did a "cross upgrade". As someone who works in the mobility industry I knew that was a complete lie. I asked to speak with a manager who told me the same thing. Which again I knew was a complete lie. This place is not as bad as i expected, but I still would have liked faster service than I had received. I walked in here already knowing what I wanted to buy. I was searching for a iphone 5 car charger and a iphone 5 case. Luckily, the car charger was easy to spot, but finding the right case was much more difficult. After about fifteen minutes of finding the (perfect) case, I approached a man with a nametag that stated he was the manager. He rang me up. The total was about $61, with a 25% discount thanks the to GF's company. :) . The transaction surprisingly took a few minutes, which was more time than I anticipated. Speed is of the essence, and it always upsets me that people cannot do things quick... It seems as if their tablet used to ring up the transaction causes more harm than good. Either a) he did not know what he was doing, or b) he did not know what he was doing. He finished half of the transaction and pawned it off to some other associate. I decided I would put the case on the phone while inside the store to see if I liked it. The case was complete and utter crap. DO NOT ever buy Quirky brand. The case is so poorly made, that it covers the phone quite awkwardly. There are gaps in between the case and phone, and the power button is hard to press with the case on. After realizing the case was a terrible fit, I returned it. The same person gave me a refund. Luckily, he was quicker this time. This place should sell quality products, things that the employees would buy themselves. I doubt the case is one of them. read more

Every time I've come into this location, I've received exceptional customer service, which to be honest, seems it be rare. Today I needed to replace my phone and Giao was awesome! I normally don't pay much attention to my plan or options for upgrades and he explained through them with patience and clarity. I also had to contact my insurance and he helped me go through the process step by step, when I'm sure other places would direct you to a website and send you on your way. Super bad customer service. I went to get a new iPhone. They treated me like a thief because I was wearing sweatpants and a beanie. They said that the safe is locked from too many attempt. If I wanted the phone, I have to wait 15 minutes. I waited for 2 minutes then went to the car to grab some food. I came back the same associate was in the process to sell an iPhone to another older gentleman. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to help me out. If u look poor, they will treat you like this because they care only about the money not you! Be careful they will try to sell you cheap accessories for a higher price. read more

Really bad experience here today. My relatively new Samsung Note 4 (purchased in December of 2014) overheated while charging, to the point where the inside became corroded and smelled of burning. It fried the internal charging piece and I tried multiple batteries, but none of them accepted any sort of charge. After waiting for 15-20 minutes to talk with someone, the rep at this store acted as if I created the issue on my own. He said I'd have to "call support myself" and that if they sent it in he's "pretty much 100% sure" that they would charge me for the phone. For a ~$700 phone that could have burnt my apartment down, this is a pretty ridiculous response. I reiterated that I've only ever used the stock charger, and it turns out this issue has come up many times (which I learned after doing a quick Google search). I went onto Verizon's site and 10 minutes later an online rep overnighted me a new phone after asking a few quick questions. She was helpful and friendly. Not sure why anyone would ever come to this store if they could avoid it. Will not be back. read more

I walked in looking to buy an S6, and the sales associated kept telling me she was going to give me all of these unnecessary addons to the phone, telling me they would be free. When I had to sign the bill, she lied to me and told me that the high amount for an Edge bill was due to activation fees. I didn't look at the charges and trusted her, and now I see 100 dollars worth of extra merchandise. I definitely would not recommend this Verizon again after dealing with this sales associate who was so friendly at first, only to be dishonest when dealing with me. read more

I had phone with another carrier (T.======) my phone was the worst phone I ever owned. I would go in tell them what my phone would do, They made me feel stupid that there was nothing wrong with my phone. I would go home and my phone would go back to not working again. Also my bill was really high for a phone that didn't work. I decided to try Verizon on King road and Capital Expressway. As soon as I walked I was welcomed by David and Miguel. I received the best treatment I was showed some phones and how they worked I ended up buying iphone6 I never bought or owned an expensive phone before. I got a good deal with a great rebate for a tablet. I did not activate the tablet so the following day received a message from David telling me that I needed to activate the tablet. I told him that I did not know how he said to come in. When I went David had gone home, but I was greeted by Adriana who helped me out not only did she helped me out she showed me a lot of things that I never new how to do on any phone. Sometimes when you ask how to this they look at you like your dumb. Adriana was so kind and she explained everything to me. I thought wow this is the second person at this store that treated me good. I noticed Miguel helping another customer and he was also very attentive to him. Not knowing that Miguel was with this customer for several hours already, but you would have never known this in the way he was treating his customer. I called these clowns and asked them for a tablet that I need for work, my requirement was that the camera had to have a flash, price NO object. Talked to Arturo, he said come on down we have it in stock, so I send my brother down there and he he gets told that there is 2 options for tablets with a flash, so he buys the less expensive one after confirming several times with the guy that it has a flash, gets it, ($400). Goes home, I send him to the another store to get a cover for it, Otter box($100), comes back and we put it together and guess what, NO FREAKING FLASH. I just called him and Daniel said "oh they made a mistake". Now I have to send my brother back there, return the tablet, exchange for the one they should have gave him, and THEN send him back to another store to get the correct cover, HUGE waste of time. I really wish these guys had people that knew the products better, who the hell is gonna cover our lost time? read more

Based on my experience today, I'm giving this place a 5 star. I went in to exchange the screen protector I purchased from the verizon store at eastridge for my new Samsung S7 edge. The guy at eastridge sold me the cheap one that only stayed on for about 20 minutes before it started to peel off. I'm glad I came to this location (South King Road) to exchange it for a better quality one (cost more but it stays on). I was greeted as I walked in and only waited for about 5 minutes for someone to help me. And on a Saturday afternoon! The guy who assisted me was very helpful and pleasant ( too bad I don't remember his name, but an Asian guy). But shout out to the store manager Francisco for doing an awesome job applying the screen protector on my phone. I can now appreciate and enjoy my Samsung S7 edge. I definitely recommend this place over the one at Eastridge mall. read more

So completely upset and appalled by Verizon period. Just a little background story, then I'll talk about my experience in this store. Story: I am a new customer. I wanted to inquire about their plan pricing. I saw a promotion where you get the XXL plan for $110, $20 per line. You get 24GB + 2GB add on promotion per line. It said for new activations or upgrades. I was confused about the promotion so I spoke to an online representative through their Verizon website. I informed them I was porting 3 lines and will be bringing all my own devices and won't be purchasing any new ones. That online representative confirmed I qualified for the 2Gb add on promo for that plan and did not need to buy a new phone. So I went to visit a retail store to inquire in person, because I was still skeptical. I spoke to 3 representatives in the same retail store about getting the XXL 24gb + 2gb add on bonus plan and bringing over my own devices (iPhones). They all said I would qualify for the plan and 2gb bonus by being a new activation. So I left to think about it some more. Finally, I pulled the trigger and went to visit a Verizon CORPORATE store. This store that we're reviewing. My experience: I spoke to the representative and inquire about the pricing one last time. This is what I asked: "I want to port 3 of my lines. I want the XXL 24gb plan for $110, $20 per line. I am bringing my own devices and will not be purchasing any new phones. Do we get the 2gb add on bonus for EACH line we port over?" The representative said "yes", so we went forward and ported all our lines. 1 of the lines belongs to my mother who is elderly and lives out of state. So she unfortunately had to go 3 days without service because we had to mail her the SIM card. The rep that helped us did not give us his business card because he said he worked at the McCarthy location and didn't have any for that location. So instead he tells my bf his number, which ironically, ended up being a fake number. I don't know if that was by mistake or intentional. But yeah.. Also, no manager spoke to us during our visit. It's been 3 days later.. I now find out that all of those representatives that helped me before, LIED. The 2gb add on promotion is only valid if you purchase a new phone on the installment plan. The ONLY reason we ported to Verizon was for this 2gb bonus add on. Att is offering 25GB for $110, $20 per line. That's the same exact pricing as the XXL 24GB $110, $20 per line but with less data. Verizon, retrain your staff! For Christ sake! And retrain your managers for not properly touching base with your reps trainings. So crazy how I spoke to a rep online, and at 2 DIFFERENT locations to get all the same information, that ended up being wrong. Update 09/05/16 Rep offered to match the online promotion to waive the activation fees. I've received my first bill and ALL activation fees are on the bill. The rep also failed to add my company discount, even after I provided him my work badge AND work email for verification. read more

My mother and I came to the store, hoping to upgrade her phone because it was not working properly, but the wait to talk to a representative took more than 30 minutes. When we were finally able to talk to a representative, he told us to upgrade my mother's phone online... Obviously, the store lacked customer satisfaction. When I got home and called Verizon Wireless (770) 250-2080, I had to wait for a long time once again! It took forever for me to be able to talk to a representative. Once I talked to a representative, she was not able to help me efficiently. It was like she did not know what she was doing. She kept putting on hold and at the last hold, she put me on hold without letting me know to "please hold." By the way, her name is Ariana. SHE IS STUPID AND USELESS! I go there once in a while but today was just a horrible experience, on e of the workers was so closed minded when she said one thing it meant that one thing, I called and the manager Francisco explained it well and it wasn't hard to explain the promotion but why was it hard for the worker to explain that, instead of me wasting my time and having a bad experience that's why I stick to Verizon at eastridge they help a customer better. read more

Hats off to Laly Ruiz, a Solutions Specialist at the Verizon Retail Store on S Kind Road in San Jose. I was working online with a Verizon Customer Service Rep about another matter and ended up purchasing a iPhone 8 Plus upgrade to replace my ancient iPhone 5. I was told I could take the new phone to a Verizon Retail Store and they would help me set up the new phone and assist me with the upload of any data from my old phone. I'm a tech dinosaur so I had trepidations about this impeding visit to handle the conversion. I am so glad I was able to work directly with Laly. She was incredibly patient with me as I asked elementary question after question and she always did it with a smile. She also installed the screen protector (can be very tricky) and the protective cover. The entire conversion was completed in less than 20 minutes and I left a very happy customer. This experience certainly qualifies for a shout out to Laly and her "Can Do" attitude. All of my future Verizon needs will be handled at this S King Road location. read more
