Robert was friendly, easy to work with, incredibly informative and great at his job. he set us up for fiber (at the same price if not better as what we previously had in our old home in Florida with cox) for the best internet ever. unfortunately, we got home and realized the house we were renting didn't have the correct setup to set everything up. so, we called him and he worked diligently all night to get us a tech coming out to us first thing the next morning. Originally I tried to order service and a new phone on line. It was a disaster and the order ended up being cancelled. My experience at the Fairfield store was totally different. The sales associate, Brandon, was very knowledgable, patient, and helpful. He listened to my preferences and took extra steps to get me the best deal. We made a mistake and looked into plans and phones. They do provide a service and can do many things Verizon can- But not at the same prices/fees. Read the contract carefully! Please make sure you understand the store is not a Verizon owned store. They are a retailer allowed to sell Verizon products. The signage indicates Verizon. One small sign in rear of store tells customers the truth. Cell phone retailers no longer have to notate they are not a corporate store. Because of this, many customers arrive, believing they are in a Verizon corporate store. read more

I went to your store in Virginia Beach across from Marina Shores, where a young lady with short, spiky blonde hair attempted to wait on me. She explained before we got started that her and her father were having a war" and he may call. He did, and she not only answered it and cut me off in mid sentence, but put him on speaker phone. They proceeded to talk about unrelated personal things and he frequently used expletives. This was obviously not an urgent call. After a few minutes, I explained that I was leaving and she flippantly said "fine". As I walked out the door, I asked for the store number, which she defiantly gave me. I request a call from a District Manager (at least) as the Store is the problem. Speaking with the store Manager would be of no help. I have always had excellent customer service when visiting the Providence SQ store. Whether buying a phone or getting tech help the folks have always treated me well. I recently went in with a friend to introduce her to the folks and met Angie. She was so patient and respectful to my friend and me. I was in the market for a new iphone 13 but got such a great deal on a 14 that I went with that. Angie got it all done for me. If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only did you lose a customer at This store but your losing a customer in general. We went in to pick up our new iPhone 15s that we were given a deal we were supposed to get them for free just taxes. And an iPad bc of the purchase of the phones. We had to wait for them to come in due to the GB size unfortunately the man who was our sales rep who was wonderful. Was no longer employed. Well the lady. Whose name I found was Shevi Price. We felt with today. Had HORRIBLE customer service sales experience. Spoke to my husband and I like we were stupid. And gave us an attitude the entire time and refused to give us the deal we were offered. At that point I was upset I wanted to just leave I left and as I was leaving she began to talk down to us. So I told her have the day you deserve. She then called me a b****. If this is how yall are training your employees to treat your customers I want nothing do with your service. Disgusted. I left the store in tears bc the deal I was promised was not only denied to me I was cussed out which I feel I had every right to be upset. This interaction occurred last Monday. The next day my husband called the distract manager who didn't care at all. They seem to think they can do whatever they want because they aren't corporate owned. Absolutely disgusting. I am well aware my husband also reviewed however I want people to truly be aware about my experience and for them to know who to avoid if they decide to come in this store. KEMPSVILLE PROVIDENCE RD VERIZON: I have been a Verizon customer for years and years! Verizon was the ONLY carrier that worked for me and in my house. AT&T SPRINT and T-MOBILE never worked in my house or anywhere else (without dropping every single call made AND received. Over 12 years ago I switched to Verizon and honestly have NEVER had any problems with them. I AM going to say this to everyone who is NOT a Verizon customer ... Christen Wooten was "THEE QUEEN" she is smart patient and always (when I say always that's what this Jersey girl means ALWAYS!) was very helpful and she never had a bad thing to say about anyone (and there ARE a couple jerks in the Providence Rd. store (lazy & can't read a screen to save their lives) ex: my phone was paid off and one guy told me I had 7+ months left to pay on it! That was his first mistake (sarcastically talking to me like I'm stupid) that was his second mistake ‍ so I left and called CS and they verified that it WAS paid off. You know when you get a feeling that someone just wants to sell you something well, that was his 3rd and final mistake as far as I was concerned. I got up and left. Anyway, Miss Christen took another job and in comes Nick (he's the manager now) he's the King to Christen's Queen (trust me on this! I was in CS for over 50 years and I can spot a great CS person a mile away. Nick didn't skip a beat because he has already done me a great service (as did The Queen) and I am forever grateful to him. Now my next wonderful person is Kyri (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) and that man is as smart intelligent patient and as helpful to me as the Queen and King in the Providence Rd store in Kempsville, VA! I want to show my appreciation and gratitude for these wonderful and beautiful people who I know have had to come across some nasty people in the CS circus. I am going to say that I have never come across such wonderful people in my entire lifetime of owning my cell phone. As someone who is a veteran and works in *military* customer service, I know that asking for the bare minimum in customer service is not too much to ask for. Today, June 27, my partner, and I decided to stop at this location to get a new SIM card for my phone and to return some 5G Gateway equipment. Before we can even step in the door, Nicholas was trying to get us back out. He was under the impression that we were only there to bring equipment, and once we informed him that I also need a new SIM card, his attitude got worse from there. His tone and demeanor was very condescending, and I took notice to every time he acknowledged my partner, (who wasn't there for himself, this was a visit strictly for MY property), in lieu of I. Instead of replacing the SIM like I requested, he tried a different method to no avail, and caught more of an attitude when I told what he needed to do. Seems like there needs to be more customer AND technical training at this location. read more

Everyone was very friendly, even our sales representative- Jon They seemed fairly knowledgeable and other associates pitched in and made it seem like a more laid back visit. Ordered me and my husband's Galaxy s8 from this sales rep. Originaly we had ordered it at MacArthur but he went above and beyond to bring it to the Verizon Store near our location. *And even when our VR headset promotional gifts game, he did the same thing* Very helpful, would do business again but I think I have all I need. read more

Stay Away !!! Deceptive business practices. When attempted to resolve, was told there was no manager at these stores, that I needed to call the sales person I originally dealt with. Called this fella, multiple times, voice mail full, never answered. After four visits to the store, (the last one involved waiting for more than an hour for a manager) they refused to resolved the issue. Ultimately Verizon did the right thing, but I have in excess of five hours getting this done, more than eight phone calls and a letter (not email to Verizon) THIS IS NOT A VERIZON STORE. read more

Some of the sales rep here are good, other don't give a crap about ANY issues you have once you walk out the door. I'm still dealing with account issues from 2 iphones we bought in Dec 2020. They just don't or can't, get you what they promised at the time if the sale. Some of this is Verizon because they don't update your billing account the day you purchase or change anything so you have to deal with issues for months and the reps at Cellular Sales don't want to help at all. The "WORSE"experience shopping for a phone in my ENTIRE life! I had shopped here before. Alex sold me an android. He is a nice guy and very patient. When my phone stopped working I went back to the store and this oriental guy "try" to help me. I told him my phone is not holding a charge. He had the NERVE to ask me "how cheap is the cord I am using?!" The manager standing right there. Needless to say, he was in a rush to leave because I left with my broken phone and the oriental guy along with the manager slipped out the back door! Now is time for me to upgrade. I went back to the store and Sean help me. Sean was so pleasant. I end up buying two iPhone. I had accidentally left my charger at the store that day. I went back the next day and ask if I can have my charger. Alex was trying to help but Olga (she was sitting down at the computer yelling) "all the chargers in here belong to Verizon! I look at her and was thinking, "No one was talking to you in the first place!" I calmly looked at Alex and explained to him that I brought two iPhones from Sean Moore yesterday and I left one of my iPhone chargers. She is still yelling from across the room as she stares into the computer. Thank GOD CJ was there. He remember me and vouch for me. (because at this point, Alex is trying to find a charger while OLGA IS YELLING) all I know, I wasn't leaving until I get my charger! shortly afterwards the manager walk over with my charger in his hand and handed it to CJ. I was thankful when CJ hand it to me. At least that had quiet down the non-helpful Olga that gave me the impression I was lying! I walk out the store and than walked back in to tell CJ THANK YOU once again for making me feel like a CUSTOMER and not a CRIMINAL! I NEVER EVER FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE SHOP AT THIS STORE AGAIN! All 3 employees jumped to action and made sure we were fully serviced, linking up their personal hot spots, calling other stores, and ensuring we didn't feel like an inconvenience. I used a gentleman named Isaac and he was absolutely awesome. Took care of everything I needed answered any questions I had and even made suggestions in certain areas that actually saved me money. Had a small issue that was a mistake by my son with the new iPad we had gotten and went back the next morning and even though Isaac was not there the manager was there and helped us and got us all set up within five minutes and we were back out the door. I was bounced around from person to person for different reasons from all of the sales associates. After I explained to them that my area does indeed accept Verizon services they still suggested that I try Cox or talk to my rental office to ask if they had a Verizon representative instead of trying to figure out what they were doing wrong in the store while I was there. read more

These people are out to get you! I took my phone there because it wouldn't charge. The guy looked at it for all of 3 seconds and said "it's deformed, I can't do anything with it," He then went on to try to sell me a new phone. I decided, before paying for a new phone, I'd see if my could be fixed. I took it to a third party repair shop. The young man there took about 10 seconds to blow some air into the charge port to clean it out. It now works like new. I will never darken the door of this place again. I've never written a Yelp review before, but my bad experience compelled me to. In general, if you want to get Verizon mobile phones, stick with Verizon direct or corporate stores. While authorized retailers look and feel like Verizon stores, they use separate ordering systems and billing apparatus. I went in to port 5 lines from AT&T to Verizon. All seemed to be just fine on the initial order. No in-store stock of iPhones, so all had to be shipped from Cellularsales.com warehouses. Four of the phones came in within 4 days via Fedex shipping to the store, so I went in to activate 2, then ship and activate later the other two to children in college. All that worked without issue. The fifth phone order (mine), however, couldn't be completed. While I was approved for all credits and ability to order the phone, something was wrong with their ordering system that kept rejecting the order. The rep I worked with told me that he made at least 5 attempts to place the order with their warehouse, all rejected, over the next 2 business days. As a result, the phone could not be ordered with the first four, and did not arrive with them. When I went in to pick up the other phones, I was told that based on the ordering difficulties, he had to elevate the order with the warehouse to "expedite" and was assured that this would result in me receiving the phone I wanted within 3 days. Three days later, no call to tell me the phone was in. Next day (4th since expedite reorder), I contacted him to find out the status. He told me that the expedite order was also rejected and we would need to place the order from scratch - AGAIN! To this point it was 8 days since my first visit and still no phone. I did not reorder as I had no confidence that it wouldn't happen again, and he told me he had similar problems with one or two other customers. I did not feel like it was justified allowing him to get a commission when he had so much trouble with this process. Ironically, the first thing he told me when I entered the store the first time was that he insists on and maintains 100% positive customer service rating at that store. I honestly don't see how that's possible given the service I received on my first visit. To fix this, I went to a Verizon direct store and was able to walk out with the phone I wanted. Additionally, when the Verizon store folks went into my Verizon account that the authorized retailer set up, they discovered that I had 4 separate accounts for the 4 phones I had purchased instead of 1 family account! If not discovered, I would have received 4 separate bills, each with separate data plans instead of shared data like I wanted. I would have had to pay more than double what I would have on a shared family plan. The Verizon direct store was able to fix that as well, and it was not a trivial fix (reps had to call Verizon customer service). They also gave me a free screen protector to go with my new phone. Reps at the Verizon direct store told me they have had similar problems with other authorized retailers, but I have no way to verify that statement. Bottom line, if you want Verizon phones, stick with Verizon direct dealers, not "authorized retailers" like the ones Cellularsales.com provides. It is difficult to tell the difference as the authorized retailers have the same, big "Verizon" sign on the storefront, but this one also had "cellularsales.com" written underneath. So you have to watch closely. If I could give zero stars, I would. The only thing they did correctly was order 4 of the 5 phones I needed. They couldn't complete one of the orders in over a week, and completely botched the billing account setup. Everyone there I dealt with was very nice, and I think they did try to get it right, but they just don't have the capability. Stay away! Pros: - nice, cordial salesmen - clean, well maintained store - knowledgable about Verizon plan options - e-mail notification of phone shipping status Cons: - separate ordering and billing than Verizon - limited/no in-store stock on iPhones, and unable to check ahead of time. Verizon's website can be used to check stock of direct stores only. - must pay tax on phones ordered with Verizon Edge in the store. Verizon direct stores can add sales tax to the first bill. - if you have special requirements for activating phones, like doing at a later date, you must deal with the rep you originally dealt with. When in Verizon direct stores, any rep can complete any task. My rep at the authorized retailer was out two days, which he neglected to inform me, resulting in delayed service. - salesmen have no control of shipping or ordering process. Any problems with an order can result in extensive delays, with little to no definitive information available about status of the order or why it failed. - Cellularsales.com very limited functionality compared to Verizonwireless.com read more

I have never left a Yelp review in my life but I have to say this by far my best customer service experience I have ever had with any business. Me and wife went the store to upgrade our phones. Our customer service representative isaac walked us through the whole process perfectly. My wife's phone was taking a hour and 10 minutes to upload so Isaac said it would fine if we went to get food or went shopping while we waited. So me and my wife we went to shop to get some accessories for our new phones. We left our new phones and my wife's phone and I used my old phones GPS to find a store nearby as that's all that worked on the old phone until I traded it in for the new one as isaac had already disabled the old phone cell service to setup the new one up. We finished our shopping but my phone battery died and would not charge back up for more than a few minutes. We did not know the area and so we were lost for over a hour trying to find the Verizon store desperately. We found the store at 7:15pm, 1 hour and 15 minutes after the store closed on Sunday night. The staff had left a hand written note, with our names on it with Isaac's phone number. We called the number from the Starbucks next store as neither one of us had working phones. Miraculously isaac answered the call and got approval for his boss to open the store just for us to pay and get our phones! I can't express my gratitude more and my sentiments that Isaac is the best example of customer service I have ever seen. I can not recommend this store enough and I hope Verizon will show their appreciation for such an exceptional employee. read more
