Ignored me and checked in multiple other rude customers that pushed their way ahead of me. This caused me an additional 10 minute wait on top of the 20 minutes I had already been waiting. The employees were worthless and didn't help manage the situation or help customers on a first come first serve basis. Once I was finally checked in the employee was polite and helpful. I then waited another 10+ minutes as customers were helped and employees disappeared into the back of the storeIt doesn't help that most of the customers were clueless and couldn't figure out how to turn on their phones or text, so if the employees have to waste there time helping customers with stupid questions like that, they are unable to help customers with issues that a simple Google search can't solve. read more

had a very frustrating experience with the Verizon Wireless store on Crane Highway in Waldorf, MD. My grandmother, who is an authorized user on my account, went into the store around 1:20 PM to get help with her phone. The employee assisting her (Brian) was dismissive and unprofessional. He told her that the account didn't exist and that the phone number she provided was invalid--without making a reasonable effort to actually look into the issue. She left upset and without help. When she contacted me, I was able to locate the account immediately using the same information, which makes it clear the problem was not the account--it was the lack of effort and professionalism. What made the situation worse is that Brian later contacted me directly about this review, and even after I told him not to contact me again, he continued to call and text. That crosses a line and is completely inappropriate. Customer service should be respectful, thorough, and professional--especially when dealing with elderly customers. This experience fell far short of that standard. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it. read more

Friday, Apr 1, a Verizon telephone line was snagged by a dump truck and pulled down on our street. The line is hanging across the road at an angle and the long part of the line laying on the road for a distance of 25 yards or more. It is on Oyster Bay Drive, Hollywood, Md. People have called and told Verizon---the Sheriff's office said they also called Verizon about this. The line is a hazard to cars driving on the road. Private citizens have placed hazard orange cones on the street and put a flashing light at night --- to help prevent an accident. It is extremely difficult if not almost impossible to get a 'real person' to report this. Numerous calls to Verizon end up in endless recordings, waiting on line for 20 minutes or more. Fios was ok at first but for the past 2-3 months the online speed is extremely slow to the point of being unusable for streaming or gaming 3 days a week. We have rarely seen even 40 Mbps service with recent speeds simply unusable at an average of 15 - 20 Mbps 3 days a week. How do they get away with advertising 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 1 Gig speeds? People need to know how slow Fios actually is. Fios hides behind chatbots and "troubleshooting" questions without fixing the problem. Waited for over an hour to be seen. When I saw a person who arrived after me getting serviced, I asked the security guard how that happened and was told the person helping them wasn't able to fix my issue. Shouldn't all the service employees know how to fix the issue of a phone not working? By the time I got to speak to a representative I needed to go for a work appointment. Just ridiculous. I am really disappointed. I went to the Verizon store in Waldorf. I asked specific questions bc I'd been deceived by another cell company. I asked if I had to pay for a cell phone or would it be at no cost. I was told at no cost. I asked this question several times bc it seemed at the time that the verizon representatives helping me were having trouble getting me connected. I was told each time that my cell phone was free of charge, and I would only pay the verizon service. The reason I asked if there was a charge on the phone, is bc I would like to have control of how much I pay for a phone, rather I get a Walmart phone and return to get the verizon service, or get verizon's least expensive phone something in the range of $75 and lower. I would have liked to make my own choice. So, today I was telling a family about my service of UPFRONT costs (or so I thought I was given the upfront cost by verizon reps). I went to MyVerizon to give them the information to sign up, and SURPRISE! I see something that said 8% paid off. I said, HUH! What is this? Then my heart dropped, as I knew right away that I'd been deceived yet again. I am paying for a phone and am stuck. I will pay it off, but will do as some other people are doing. I ordered two new iPhone 14s from Verizon's website. My wife's phone would not connect to the network; it showed SOS in the upper right hand corner. I've been to the Verizon store on Crain HW a handful of times over the years, and never had a bad experience. I'll admit, I was dreading going there based on recent Yelp reviews rating the overall experience a 2.0; Whoa! But, off I went this past Monday to get my phones serviced. I got there early at 9 am, and was attended to promptly. (Well, I was the ONLY customer present.) The young man servicing my phone appeared not to know what he was doing (trainee?), asking another male employee for guidance. To his credit, he listened to his instructions, and was able to get wifey's phone working properly. While I was there, my phone suddenly went to an SOS status. He was able to get mine on the network again. (Problem with these 14 phones seems to be that they now use an eSim card instead of a physical one. A QR code fixed this issue.) I was in and out of the store in 37 minutes, and I left with both my phones operating properly. The two techs that resolved my phone issues were professional and pleasant. I don't know why this store is rated so low, but every customer's experience is different. This location are a group of time wasters. I ordered a phone online that was supposed to show up in two days but stuck in the warehouse. I went into try to get a phone in person. I was told my account could not be accessed without a 4-digit passcode, which was never set-up on my account (I found this out after riding around for hours trying to find someone who could charge my phone as I was trading the phone because it would no longer charge). Mind you, I was coming to get a phone in-person cause I had a flight to catch the next day and didn't want to leave the area with an inoperative phone. I ended up having to change my flight and was able to get a new phone but was told I had to bring the old phone in to trade-in later because the mail order was still pending the old phone could not be taken until the mail order dropped from my account. I came to store today to bring the old phone for trade as I was told to do, only to be told by the same person who told me to bring it in-person that trade-ins are done by mail due to COVID. She provided the mail-in package and told me to drop it off at UPS. You think she could have don't that the first time I was here? This store has horrible customer service. I recently switched my phone service provider from sprint to Verizon and I felt like I made the biggest mistake! I purchased a new iPhone 7 plus online for in-store pick up. I never received my email to come pick up my phone so I went later that day with a friend to pick it up. When I got there I spoke with the guy that met me at the door and I told him the reason for my visit. He told me that he will go check on the phone. I finally received the phone 20 minutes later and they bagged it up and sent me on my way. I then asked the same guy, how do I set up the phone because I'm new to all of this, he then says "oh you can go home and do that". Needless to say I was very upset and expressed my concerns to another employee. As this employee was helping me I noticed two managers and about four other employees hanging around, joking and talking not helping anyone. The one female manager seemed to have a problem with the fact that the one good employee was helping my friend and I at the same time. To sum it up, there really needs to be a better level of professionalism and customer service here! The managers really need further training in leadership. However, I would like to highlight the one employee that took so much time helping me and my friend at the same time. I'm a total klutz when it comes to well, everything. I dropped my pixel 6 and the screen was no longer operational. So, I set out to just order cheaper phone, mainly because I just paid the balance off the pixel and I didn't want to spend a lot of money all over again. I ordered the Samsung a23 online with a Verizon rep and was told it would arrive within a few days. great! the next day I received an email saying it was on back order by 2 weeks. That is not doable so, I canceled the order and asked if I could just order one that is at a nearby store. the rep said "yes," gave me the store location, and the next morning I went to get the phone. I get there and the rep said that they did not have the phone. I asked if she would mind calling the waldorf location to see if it was available there. She told me that she never gets through to the store and sent me to another Verizon store a block away to check there instead. She said that she would be happy to call if that store didn't have the phone I was looking for. The man I spoke with at the second store said that he did not have the phone and that there was nothing he could do anyway since I had a pending cancellation which apparently locked my account for anyone to make any changes. I went home and tried to do something about it online and had no luck-I'll spare the details there but it was also a nightmare. After paying 2 upgrade fees and having no phone, I was just defeated and really wanted nothing more to do with Verizon. I've never seen anything like the circus I have just been through. I went to the Waldorf corporate store praying that there wouldn't be a long line and that anyone could even help me at all after what I was told. The lady who helped me was Mercedes. She is THE ONLY REASON I have not cancelled my business with Verizon. I told her my story and all that had happened and she set out to get everything taken care of. After asking a series of questions about my phone use, she set me up with a good phone and explained better than really anyone has, why to continue with Pixel. Samsung has a lot of built in fluff that wouldn't have been happy about, and that I could change the settings to make my Pixel work the way I wanted to . She made a few calls to get my account situation straightened out, told me about the promotions that Verizon was running, and helped me get everything set up. Not once did I feel like she was just trying to rush everything and get rid of me, or that I was unwelcome. She genuinely wanted to help me. I can't express the gratitude I feel to her and the team there. I'm also going to share some parting wisdom with whoever reads this. Verizon has franchise locations and they are atrocious. If you're going to go into a Verizon store, save yourself the massive headache and go with a corporate location. I am so disappointed with my experience at this store. Today, I came to the Verizon store because my iPhone 5c was completely destroyed (my fault) so I was looking to use my mother's upgrade since I was not due for upgrade until the following year. I came in when it opened and it was already crowded (as expected for a Friday) a woman took my name and concern (she wrote trouble shooting when I told her I needed a new phone). I sat and waited and waited. During my wait, I saw some workers not doing anything, some workers explaining phones to people and some workers assisting customers. Long story short- I waited 30 minutes to be told I was not authorized on my mother's account. They offered me the store phone to call my mother to get authorization. Another 20 minutes goes by and the woman says to me "You have to order the phone; we don't just give out phones." This really got to me because one, I waited all this time for you to tell me that. Two, she didn't even ask if I wanted to do an upgrade (she didn't offer anything knowing I needed a new phone ASAP) she assumed that I wanted to order the same phone I had. Three, she didn't directly give me a number for customer service for my mother who was at work and not supposed to be taking or making personal calls, she just simply said call... What ever happened to taking a number and waiting for that number to be called? I get that this "new" method of keeping track of customers seems more personal but, I was also asked two different times if I was another person after someone already assisted me. This new method is THE only reason the store gets any points at all due to the fact that they're trying to be more personal and greet customers by name. Why isn't there a specific person to help those people who need to get in and get out? Why should I have to wait through people who are switching to Verizon, or wanting to compare phones, or whatever the case is to just get a new phone and transfer my number? I went to the new Verizon store in St. Charles mall shortly after where I was in and out within 20 minutes. The staff members were very nice, engaging in conversation and explaining all contracts to me and my mother who requested to speak to them. She was impressed with their answers. read more

If I could write a review with a zero stars rating, I would. I have frequented this particular store a few times and today I can honestly say that the customer service was sub-par at best. Had an issue when I asked one of the employees for assistance and he couldn't provide any helpful information and he stayed glued to his phone throughout the conversation. So, I asked for a manager. The manager was about as disengaged as the unhelpful employee. I addressed my concern and all the manager could say was "I apologize". I'm not sure why I expected much more than that because the manager's demeanor was less than inviting. If I am going to patronize a business, the customer service should be of a certain standard that I WANT to spend my money there. No one should have to deal with disengaged employees and/or managers when spending money. I will GLADLY drive further to receive better customer service. My advice...avoid THIS establishment if you can. It is not worth the aggravation. read more

I tried the Verizon in Brandywine, MD (in the mall with Costco) but received zero help from the Rep. I explained that my screen didn't react to my touch and all he said was that I needed to get a new phone or go to Annapolis to see if the manufacturer could fix the problem. He never even looked at my phone to see what was wrong. Plus, when I asked him if I could transfer data to a new phone, he said he didn't know. Won't be going back there. When I went to the Verizon at 2915 Crain Hwy, I waited around 20 minutes for help and the Rep fixed my phone by wiping off the screen (some water had gotten between the phone and the screen saver). Plus, he showed me how to save all my data to the cloud so I can transfer data to a new phone. You may wait a little longer at the Waldorf store, but you actually get helpful information which is the whole point of the store. read more

unmatched service I received from Gabe at the Verizon Recently I phoned and spoke to a lady and started asking her questions about the iphone 4s and droid bionic. She was very kind, however I didn't get the impression she was in the sales department. I then told her I was a person who needed to work with someone that has patience, knowledge, and honest. She told me to come in and ask for Gabe. When I arrived I asked for Gabe and was told he was busy with another customer he would be right with me. I was in a bit of a hurry so I went up to another salesperson and told her anyone could help me. They said Gabe would be right with me. Boy I AM GLAD I WAITED. From the moment of meeting Mr. Gabriel Lancaster I could detect that he was a listener. I asked questions and he listened and answered EVERYTHING that I asked. He was very patience, knowledgeable, and understanding. I previously thought I understood most of the features of both phones after watching all the videos and reading all the information on the websites, until I met Gabe! His customer service BLEW MY MIND. I will send EVERYONE I KNOW in the market for a cell phone, IPAD or any device right to Mr. Gabriel Lancaster. This store has the worst customer service ever. My mother and I were there FIRST thing when they opened on 11/13. When they opened the door.. I immediately asked to speak with a manager. Then he SIGNS us in to speak with a sales person. We had to wait at least 20 minutes. Mind you, we were the first person in the store. And because we asked to speak with a manager, we were never signed in. So afer 20-25 additional minutes, Some overweight lady with a HUGE attitude, comes over. She came over with an attitude in the first place. Every word out of my mouth was "cut off" by her words and sentences. She even got loud with my mother and I.. I have never been so appalled. OMG! Yesterday, I had the best experience at the Verizon Store in Waldorf, MD. I love this store, when I walked into the store, my usual rep, had a customer, so I crossed my fingers that I would either get her when my name was called, or get someone just as good. I stopped in because all of the apps on my Droid 4 were freezing and my keyboard was worn out from texting....laugh now, if you must...lol! My rep, Natalie was truly amazing, she listened to my situation with my current phone, she asked me about my level of usage, then she recommended a few phones. We looked at all three, then I decided to purchase a new phone, instead of sending my current phone out for repair. She didn't try to convenience me to buy a new phone, or purchase the most expensive phone, because it wasn't the best phone for my needs. She saved me so much money, by switching the phones on my personal account that are also used for non-profit business, to my business account, which means, no taxes, no more upgrade fees, no more restocking fees, instant rebates and 25% off all accessories. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy 5; phone case and screen protector; two (2) Verizon Ellipsis 7; two (2) tablet cases; and one (1) screen protector. The manager, Nate stopped by the desk to make sure that the account transfer was correct and I received every discount that applied to my purchase. Natalie told me about another offer that gave me an additional $25 discount on my total purchase. In all, I only spent $249.00. Yes, I said $249.00 total. It felt like Christmas morning. Also, I can't forget Dana, who took time to help me and Natalie quickly figure out the best set up for my two Yahoo email accounts...and I wasn't his customer.
