    just now New My 78…read moreyear old mother went to the AT&T store in Eldersburg , MD. She was helped by the store manager Jonas S. Jonas did not help her but completely took advantage of her!! We've been with AT&T since January 2021 and have been very happy, Mother simply needed a new phone as she's had the same iPhone 11 since January 2021. About five days later since we are on a family plan, my phone was having some issues and I tried to file an insurance claim Well, upon further investigation, Mr. Jonas canceled our insurance and then re-issued it added a Line to my mother's phone that he didn't even tell her about so now she has two phone numbers to the same And he sold her what he called was a bundle of free merchandise, which turned out to be $130 worth of accessories that she's paying for $10 a month and did not want , ask for or need!! All these things were completely unnecessary!!! All she wanted was an updated phone!!! I I spent over an hour on the phone with AT&T customer support. They can't figure out why or what Jonas did, I went into the store to speak to him and he's off for 5 days And the associate there, Dylan, looked at me like a deer in headlights, refused to give any assistance or to give out the district managers contact information and just told me simply come back when Jonas is here. I called around to the other stores in their district and did speak with Matt who is the manager of the Westminster store. Matt listen to me with With empathy and said he would reach out to Zack who is this district manager . I provided my phone number and email but two days later I've failed to hear anything from Zack!! This is appalling, and I am contacting the Attorney General of the state of Maryland to file a complaint Regarding predatory sales tactics against seniors. We will be returning all of the merchandise that Jonas sold us when he returns on Monday May 11th and will possibly switch carriers.

However, once she arrived home, she discovered the phone was not functioning properly. It would not download applications and was essentially unusable. The following day, I accompanied my niece back to the AT&T store. We were informed that the phone had an error and were advised to take it to the Apple Store for further evaluation. We then went to the Apple Store who reported it was a software issue, then to the AT&T sore in Owings Mills, MD, where the manager examined the device and confirmed there was a software issue causing the malfunction. We were advised to return to the original store for an exchange. Upon returning to the Sykesville location, staff acknowledged that they could see the software issue. However, we were told that we could not receive a replacement device without paying a $55 restocking fee unless a manager (Jonas) approved a waiver. We were further informed that the manager would be out for the next two days and that we would need to return on Saturday to request the fee waiver. She is essentially without a phone for the next two days because there is no manager in the store. I do not believe there is not a person who can cover for the manger on off days. Aidan was extremely rude! Do not use this store! Go to a corporate store!

I have been asking for a new phone. My daughter phone works and mine doesn't. I even went to the Columbia store and they couldn't help. I have spent countless hours trying to rectify the issue this month w various AT&T techs. They will not honor a return when the phone doesn't work. Instead they make excuses about their raggety towers or try to deflect and blame on your location: . I have taken it back to AT&T over and over again and still not working. I bought 3 phones that day and everyone's phone works except mine. AT&T says that since the other phones work and it passes their diagnostics to take it back to Apple because it is an Apple issue. I received a case number to get a new phone today, I went to the Columbia mall Apple Store in Columbia Md. The techs ran the same diagnostics and did the same troubleshooting and the phone worked for a short time. The phone worked for a quick moment and as soon as I walked out of the store it went to SOS again. I come home call online again, I was on the phone w a supervisor by the name Anjelica and she was not helpful at all with my concerns. She said that I had to pay $30 and they put a $1500 hold on my phone to exchange the phone and give me another. This is unfair because I have already paid taxes on a phone that I have not been able to utilize properly. THEN she hung up on me. Although, I got the phone from the AT&T store in Ellicott city. He would not take the phone back and when I asked for his help he asked what did I want him to do. The AT&T supervisors say take it to Apple, Apple says take it back to AT&T. No one wants to take ownership for the device not working and I have only had it for 3 weeks almost 4 weeks. Each evening I spend 3-4 hour talking to a tech to get the phone to work and it is not working. The Apple lady, Anjelica said that may I can ask friends or family to help me pay to get a replacement. WHAT??! Why would I need someone to help me pay for a replacement when I have already paid for something that doesn't work. I am also sending this in yelp as buyer be ware and contacting the Better Business Bureau.

    I went to this particular AT&T store to trade in my old iPhone X with a new iPhone 13 Pro. After a…read morebrief discussion with Chris, the store manager, I made the purchase with a monthly charge of $13. This included the price of the new iPhone 13 Pro ($8 per month for 36 months) after trading in my old phone and a $5 per month additional charge (AT&T Next-Up). I was made aware by the store manager that this $5 AT&T Next-Up charge includes both device protection (insurance) and future upgrades and therefore, I approved this additional charge on my account. But when I got home and checked my AT&T account, there was an additional charge of $17 per month (besides the $13) added to my account which I never approved in the store. This was very unlikely as the store manager never mentioned this additional $17 charge to us (me and my friend). We also asked him about this thing a couple of times but he never mentioned it to us. Although I was able to remove the $17 charge later after talking to an agent, I am disappointed by the fact that the store manager approved the additional charge without my consent. TL;DR - The store manager added hidden charges to my AT&T account without my approval.
