The single most important message to convey is that the Soapstone tiles that we purchased are high quality and arrived in pristine condition. That being said, there were some minor problems as well as some Kudos. Kudos first: 1) The staff was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. 2) The Soapstone was packaged and crated in a very secure way. 3) As stated above, the quality of their product is outstanding. Disappointments: 1) They failed to deliver on time. 2) Even though they were helpful on the phone, they failed to follow through with a promise to forward a tracking number. We recently remodeled our kitchen in West Virginia. Soapstone cannot be purchased locally in WV. We ordered a sample from Vermont Soapstone and ultimately purchased the Soapstone countertop. The actual counter matched the sample. The shipping was reasonable- around $200 for a 300 pound countertop. I highly recommend this company. read more

To say I am unsatisfied with my experience with Vermont Soapstone would be a gross understatement. Every time I look at the shoddy workmanship and poor-quality stones that are my kitchen countertops, I feel disappointed, upset, and angry. I cannot believe a company with a satisfaction guarantee plastered on the homepage of their website would have such extremely poor customer service and amateurish, unprofessional installers. The quality of the stone is also cut-rate, and looks extremely different than the stones you see on the website. I am so upset that I took a gamble on Vermont Soapstone, spent far and above other quotes based on the promise of quality, and ended up ruining my new kitchen with this inferior product and unbelievably unpleasant to deal with company. read more
