It's very sad, I did a tour four years ago and everything was ran like a clock, Keith was the guide and he was awesome. This year, definitely not the same thing. Went on the same tour, same city, same time as four years ago, and everything was wrong. The director thought he told us the directions but he didn't, the bus times were messed up, the pick up and drop off times were not planned, we ate too late, we ate meals that were good dont get me wrong, but we see other platters going by to other patrons and we were like oh that looks so much better. We were treated like children, nothing like before. Definitely do not advise going unless you have Brian as a guide (who was on the other bus), make sure before you go. For a 30 year anniversary trip for us we were very disappointed. read more

Called on Friday to confirm they still going to casino even though we were expecting a storm , Bill said yes we are still going even though a storm on Saturday March 12th I got there early waited hour and half guess trip was canceled no call or anything so no trip and because they couldn't have the decency to call me and let me know I couldn't even go to work if they had called I could have worked , I work for Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice I'm sure my clients would have appreciated me being there. I would give it no stars if I could. I fear this is a SCAM. When I got limited and strange information from this company after purchasing tickets, I called the vendors on the trip we were taking and they either do not have a reservation with Green Mountain Tours or what the description says is drastically different from what you actually get. I spoke with literally all the vendors and it appears this tour company regularly lies to clients as they give very different information than the vendors. The vendors were very surprised by how they were being misrepresented. Even though I have caught them in several lies, they will not refund my full ticket. I am in contact with the Vermont Attorney General's office and have logged a complaint. Honestly, I don't know the man that runs this company, but my dealings with him have been very difficult at best. Save your money, time and sanity and stay far away from this company! read more

Not even worth the star I gave! We took the NYC "Family Tour" December 14-15, 2019. Tour Director did not communicate well and the itinerary did little to help. The tour group became split up due to the mass of people in the city and the tour director was nowhere to be found. We tried contacting his cell phone number and his phone was either dead (as it was last year) or he was refusing to answer. We were all scattered and didn't have the name of the restaurant where we were to meet up. Had no way to contact tour director for instructions and no way to contact the bus. Very scary in such a big and busy city on the Saturday evening. Tour director then refused to listen or accept our concerns. No apologies and he was disrespectful. Shooed me away when I was asking about the name of the restaurant we were to meet at on Sunday and he continued to argue with his customers on the bus. Not even sure which hotel we stayed at but at best was a 2 star hotel and the meals were just fast food. When we brought up the concern that we wanted to head home as we had a long ride ahead of us he stated "well you shouldn't have come on the trip then." Bill Greenwood, the owner and tour director was extremely rude and condescending. I will never take a trip with Green Mountain Tours again! read more
