WOW just wow. I found Vero through Instagram @loveinsanfrancisco and I immediately fell in love with her work before I even got engaged. So when my fiancé and I decided to do our nuptials at SF city hall before our actual wedding, we knew we had to reach out to Vero. Vero is ultimately the reason why we decided to get married at SF City Hall. I was scrolling through Instagram where I saw her photos of City Hall and immediately fell in love with her portfolio! Then, I found out that she was the photographer for my friend's wedding (not at SF City Hall) a couple of years ago. But, what a coincidence! So, I immediately contacted her to inquire about her availability for our wedding date. We scheduled a phone appointment, and she described the process of a city hall wedding, the timeline and what to expect. This initial phone conversation helped us understand how to make our city hall ceremony appointment and the best days/times to avoid large crowds. On the day of our wedding, we met Vero at the grand stairs, and I was a bit disappointed to see so many people, like tourists, other couples getting married, and even a girl in a really big, orange quinceanera dress doing a photoshoot. I guess I expected city hall to be relatively empty just like in her photos. However, with a bit of patience and directing (by Vero) we were able to take photos as if we were the only people in city hall. The photos turned out amazing! Vero and Angela (her associate) were beyond amazing! They paid attention to details, such as the parting of my bangs, moving stray hair away from my face, the placement of the boutonniere, the way my dad's jacket was buttoned, etc...I can go on and on. Vero gave me very good directions for posing to accentuate my body and dress. For example, she told me to bend one knee and "pop" a hip versus just standing straight. I've been debating on which lucky company gets my 300th review, and Vero Suh Photography definitely deserves it and more! If I could give her 10 stars, I would. From the very first meeting, I knew Veronica would be our photographer. Her sense of style and professionalism just did it for me. She listens to you, explains to you what her and her team does, and answers any questions you have. She's no nonsense yet very easy going and pleasant at the same time. I was literally WOW'd at her work online, the slideshow presentation at her office and her books. Compared to other photographers I had met with, I wasn't sure if it was because the people Vero Suh Photography shot were just all really really good looking people, but her photos, especially the candid shots were AMAZING, and I wanted to be one of them. Her package and price was at the top of our budget, but after researching for a month, I said, Heck with it, we'll cut costs somewhere else and go with Vero. Everything was hassle free with Vero and her team, which is what a bride-to-be needs. Credit card installments automatically paid online. Email reminders, emailed receipts. Perfect. Check mark, done. When THE DAY came closer to closer, we had a brief conversation over the phone as things were finalized. Because we opted out on a videographer, and added more ''events,'' to the day, she suggested to buy another hour into the package, but threw in another photographer for free so that nothing would be missed, from all angles. My confidence picked up and I was READY TO SMILE AND GET MARRIED. During the ceremony and reception, I honestly don't remember Vero and her team being there and that is a good thing. They would pop up to take photos during the "crucial" moments but would go away into the darkness with their black attire. Before they left, they came to say Bye and just imagine dance sequence at the ending credits of the movie, "HITCH," or on Soul Train, but the team danced with the rest of the party and left. What a fun bunch! The next morning we were surprised to find teaser photos from our wedding already on facebook! THE NEXT DAY! AND THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I couldn't wait for the rest of the photos to arrive! It just kept getting better. When the slideshow and the highlights were posted about a month or so later, I couldn't stop looking and sharing them. Vero and her team captured EVERYTHING and more. I don't even know where to begin! My now husband and I planned our San Francisco City Hall wedding from NY, as we're Long Islanders who wanted an intimate destination wedding. Vero is the best! I'm the type of person who does a LOT of research when it comes to important decisions and when it came time to choose our wedding photographer I spent a significant of time comparing portfolios and styles of photographers across various price points. I actually came across Vero on Instagram and as soon as I browsed through her portfolio and blog, her photos immediately stood out to me with the beautiful lighting, color contrasts, and the right balance of candids vs posed portraits. When I inquired, I was excited to learned that she was available and her pricing fit our budget! We did not do an engagement shoot with Vero due to budget and I was initially worried that meeting a photographer for the first time on our wedding day might not be such a good idea after hearing from other couples that an engagement shoot gets you comfortable with your photographer, etc etc but this did NOT matter at all in our case. As soon as we met Vero on our big day, she immediately made us comfortable with her warm personality and got right to work directing us with different poses. My husband and I are a little stiff and awkward in front of the camera but she was so good at directing us and telling us what to do (pop that knee! turn your hip!) She was also a total boss (but with a sweet smile) ushering and lining up a group of ~60 guests for a bubble wand grand exit and a group photo which turned out so amazing. Also worth noting that City Hall was EXTRA crowded the day of our ceremony and Vero was quick on her feet to suggest doing our First Look outside which worked out perfectly. I also was admittedly disappointed when I saw all the people milling about THE famous grand staircase (for city hall brides, this is THE coveted shot that everyone wants). Let's just say that Vero spent the time to work some SERIOUS MAGIC to make our grand staircase photos absolutely STUNNING, I am still in awe of how amazing they turned out. Vero's communication skills were also top notch - from the initial phone call to emails leading up to the big day, Vero always replied to my emails promptly, answered all my questions, and on the day of, she had no problems directing our families through family photos even though some of the elders don't understand much English. She also worked seamlessly with our videographer. Lastly, she turned around our photos in TWO WEEKS (yes, TWO WEEKS!!!!!) and a day hasn't passed where I haven't flipped through our ENTIRE album to relive our big day. Veronica was great! A friend hired her for an engagement party and recommended her to us. We purchased a wedding package from her that included both an engagement photo session, and our wedding day. We told her we wanted an urban edge to our photos, and she had lots of great ideas in mind. The pictures from city hall were amazing, then we stopped in Soma for some shots, then onto our reception at a restaurant on the Embarcadero. Once at the restaurant, she also took a lot of great candid photos of us with our guests. She was very professional and had the perfect balance of energy for a lonnngggg day. I didn't realize how much a good photographer had to put into managing people, but she was great when it came to giving direction and keeping everyone going. Review update! I came home from work on Thursday and had a lovely package from Vero waiting for me. Vero Suh Photography was the perfect choice for photographing our SF City Hall wedding! We had an associate photographer, David, and he was amazing to work with. He gave so many helpful tips during our shoot and really captured our day perfectly. He knew every corner of city hall and gave us great direction. After we were done, we had about 15 minutes left of our time, and our photographer offered to drive to meet us at our reception. I would recommend Vero to anyone looking for a photographer. She was quick to give us teasers, her pictures were consistently gorgeous and her professionalism was outstanding. When we first met, Vero showed us photographs she had done for another couple who got married recently at the same venue. This was great because it gave us a sense of how our photographs could turn out. My husband and I are never comfortable in front of cameras, but Vero was extremely patient with us and gave us a lot of pointers. For our engagement shoot I wanted to do something fun with throwing colored powder and Vero encouraged it. On the morning of the wedding it unexpectedly began to rain (a bride's nightmare) but she didn't seem worried by it. We began shooting our first look at the hotel and she gave suggestions for where we could possibly shoot if it continued to rain. This was amazing because it made us less concerned about the rain, since all the places we originally picked were outdoors. Luckily the rain stopped, and we took photos at all the locations we had originally planned. In deciding our locations, Vero was very helpful. We gave her an idea of what type of scenery we were looking for and she had some great suggestions that we went with. She made the pictures look unique and different. Vero listened to what we wanted, and offered her professional opinion when we didn't have a clue on what we should do. She has great attention to detail too. First of all, she's the sweetest most genuine person. You can talk to her about anything wedding, not only was she my wedding photographer but she is someone I bounced ideas off of for other wedding related things. This girl does it all. I'm not at all surprised that everyone here LOVED their photos! My sister recently got married in SF, and I remember worrying so much about photography since we all (including her and her now husband) live in Chicago and didn't get the initial meeting. I am not kidding, the second we the team my worries faded. Vero was SO energetic and easygoing that it calmed everyone else. From guiding us on how to pose, to talking us through the shots - it was all done patiently and kindly. A large group has its challenges but Vero NAILED every shot. The real WOW moment came when the photos were delivered. We have a group chat going and it was full of "wow" "omg" and crying emojis. The end result was nothing anyone could've expected. The photos were crisp, bright, and told their love story so perfectly that it made me think Vero knew our bride and groom personally.
