Decided to try some subs for takeout as I was picking up groceries across the street. I ordered a cheesesteak with sauce and onions and sauce on the side. Barely any meat and no onions, roll will not be toasted. Was not good at all. Also ordered Italian sub no capicola. Again nothing inside at all including barely any meat even though I was charged for an Italian sub and only wants ham and salami. I ordered right when they opened and the woman said 25 minutes because I just got in the door. I thought that was a little rude to say to a customer. When I picked up the food the lady was on the phone talking and didn't even acknowledge me, say thank you or anything. I would definitely not be returning to this place again. read more

This is the best delivery pizza we've ordered since arriving in the Lehigh Valley. Moving, for us, has been a haze of very mediocre pizza. Almost every local place we tried was very bready and bland, and our only alternative was Domino's, which was somehow sadly better than all of those. Then one night we happened upon Verona, and ordered their veggie pizza. It was great. The crust was flat but not crispy, the sauce was garlicky and well-seasoned, the toppings were fresh and plentiful, the cheese was good quality. We were so pleasantly surprised after so many pizza encounters that were only ok. We ate way more of it than we normally do, or should have, and had way too few leftovers for the next day! Now let me start by saying that even though in theory this is a pizza place, I've never had their pizza and I'll never try it as I've got my spot in town that to me is perfect which I hate to deviate from. But, that place is not open everyday so for something in the Italian family I fired up the trusty Grub Hub app and looked for an alternative that was open and up popped Verona. We went with an order of the corn nuggets, chicken cheese steak, chicken parm sandwich and an order of the perogies (fatties I know!) The cheese steak and the parm sandwich were both excellent. Both offered an almost perfect meat/bread/cheese ratio with most importantly the cheese steak having a dry bottom as opposed to some places where the juice/grease oozes through everything. In terms of the apps, that was a little more on the off side. According to the menu you are suppose to get fifteen corn nuggets in an order. The lovely wife said that she counted either seventeen or eighteen. While I'm certainly not complaining about the extra, she said that they tasted very salty for some reason which is weird because she had gotten them here once before and they weren't like that. The perogies on the other hand were rock hard around the perimeter dried out discs of crap. Yick! The delivery driver was friendly enough and he showed up a good 15 minutes prior to the Grub Hub guesstimate which is always a plus. Aside of the inedible perogies, everything here ranged from acceptable to great and I'm sure that when we're looking for non-pizza delivery from a local Italian-type place we'll give Verona a call or hit them up via GH. read more

Verona Pizza This was my second time ordering from these folks. The first time, I ordered a pizza (steak and mushroom). It was pretty good. Although I do prefer Fresh mushrooms on pizza, instead of canned... I dunno, the canned ones just don't brown right and make pizza a bit soggy. Different flavor too. But otherwise, very delicious. This time, I ordered a bunch of stuff: Tiramisu Cup (3.25) 10 piece onion ring (2.50, not bad) Chicken fingers and fries (8.00) Shrimp and fries (8.00) So total (with delivery fee and tax) 24.65, but I still gave a tip. Review: My food came faster than I expected. The estimate on the "grub hub" app on my phone said 10:30pm, but the food came at 10:10pm. The delivery guy was nice, I made sure to give him a tip. The tiramisu was delicious. I like the fact that it was neatly cut, a good presentation. Usually when I order tiramisu delivery, it comes all scrambled up, lol. Fries were hot and still crispy. I do live pretty close to them, so I'm sure that helped. They were the thick, restaurant style. Maybe a little more salt, but you can always add that. For the sake of customers (and heart health) its better to under-salt than to have too much, I always say. The onion rings were good and crispy, the way I like them. They use the corn bread. I like that better than regular batter. Again, not over-salted. Shrimp--also with the corn breading, and crispy. It was a fair portion, usually a lot of places skimp on shrimp (oh, that rhymes, lol). Its more the popcorn style without the tails, but its bigger than most popcorn shrimp I get at other places. You can actually tell it has meat in it, lol. The chicken-- boneless and crispy around the edges. Good flavor, too. So it was 4 strips about 3 inches long. Not bland, or anything, it has a decent flavor. Meat is juicy, etc. All in all, I would say their food is pretty good. If I'm tired and don't feel like cooking, looks like I have another good option. Also when you order in like this, it lets you know what places would be good to eat at. read more

Decent pizza, good service at a fair price. We have ordered from this place a number of times since moving to the LV. The pizza is pretty good, nice flavor and the crust is tasty. (R doesn't care for the scicilian, I am just happy with any pizza not from Las Vegas) The orders have always arrived in good time and accurate. The manager is always pleasant and ready to assist. Terrible service. We drove there in bad weather and they forgot something. Drove back and they blamed us. Whatever. Pizza was 4.2 out of ten but way overpriced. $12 for a personal that's less than 1/2 a regular. Great delivery service via DoorDash but the white pizza we ordered had a scant amount of cheese, a few sprigs of broccoli, and the garlic topping we paid extra for was undetectable and no where to be found. Their regular Stromboli also lacked any signs of sausage and had just 2 tiny pieces of pepperoni in the entire thing, which was very disappointing. Would not recommend! read more

Hi. Let me start that we drove from Boston mass and stopped in a hotel. Me and my friend was really tired that evening so we needed some food. Trying to find some food through the foodler didn't give us any chances to find some place with a delivery so then I just decided to go on yelp and wrote food delivery, and of course that place was at the top. Fantastic chicken cheese steak. Some of the fried food is a bit cold sometimes but the subs are always on point.

First time trying this pizza. The Sicilian was not the Sicilian I am accustomed to. It was bland and the crust was a little thicker than regular pizza. The sauce was not very good as it lacked flavor and the crust on the regular pizza was tough and chewy. Would not go back. read more
