We had a BBQ chicken pizza. It was delicious. Waitress was very attentive but not annoying so.

Waited to give this try again. The waitresses are still clueless about the menu, owner is still rude and the atmosphere hasn't gotten any better. The food is drowning in sauces which mostly water down. Yep it's not getting better and if like to drink just join the locals cause the bar might be the thing going on cause it looks like the customers can go behind the bar and fix their own drinks. Pizza was not done and very greasy and marinara was very running in the spaghetti. The restaurant was clean and our service was excellent.

The restaurant was nice and clean. There were not a lot of people and it was pretty quiet which was nice. The Spaghetti and MEATBALL was pretty basic, Chicken Tenders and Fries was pretty basic. My husband said the Calzone was pretty good aside from the Marinara that was really watery and no good and my Fettuccini was really good aside from the fact that the chicken was not cooked all the way. I took the chicken off and ate the rest which was on my opinion a little risky. Not feeling that great today. They did take HALF off of my Fetta. Lol. Anyways, not Truly impressed and probably would waste the time and money to go back. Glad we tried though. read more

Had to come back as I will only be in the area another week or so. Had the all meat calzone with spicy marinara and added jalapeños. Absolutely next level delicious!! It's big enough for two average eaters, me however, I smashed the entire thing. Everything here is authentic, house made, and exceeds any local establishment I've ever eaten. A hidden gem that I believe is misnamed! I think they need to replace the word pizza with Italian eatery. Simply because it FAR EXCEEDS any Pizza establishments. read more

We ordered wings, supreme pizza, calzone and white pizza. We had never had white pizza. It was really good! I felt there were too many black olives on the supreme pizza. The wings were mush and sauce was cold. The calzone was good but not as cheesy as I've had before. I've heard it's the best local place but I feel there is room to improve. read more

At one time this was the best pizza in the area. Unfortunately they forgot how to cook them. The last two carry out pizzas I've brought home had black crust around the edge. Not brown, black. I miss the old Verona pizza but two burned pizzas in a row (weeks apart) is not an anomaly, it's a pattern. read more

I'm telling you! You have to try Verona Pizza + Pasta House. Going there at least twice a week because they have a huge selection and it's seriously the very best quality of food I've ever eaten. They have so much more than just pasta and pizza. I attached one of their to go menus. They had a location for years in Lexington that thrived (google it! 5 star reviews!) I love getting the family meal deals and carrying it out and taking it home and feeling good about feeding it to my family on nights I don't want to cook. Everything I've had from their cheese sticks, to jalapeño poppers, to their meatball subs and salads and oh my goodness the lasagna! It's all been to die for. Let's support this place. My husband and I have date night here a lot. My husband orders the same thing every time, baked Ziti and it's so good.! He also orders a calzone to go for a late night snack. I get something different every time, tonight I got the antipasto salad and it's amazing...... they have a bar and the drinks are good too. We were visiting from out of town and just kind of stumbled on this place. It was a Saturday around 130p, but no one was there. We thought twice about going in because of it, but decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised! It's a pretty big place, with unique? decor (huge guitar and deer mounts on the wall). We ordered pizza and wings, and hoped for the best! The pizza was really good with a perfectly crunchy thin crust. The wings were just eh. The hot buffalo wasn't hot at all and the wings were over done. Half of the meat on the flats were missing?And the meat that stayed intact was dry. I came here after I did the Wild Turkey Distillery Tour and ordered a 10" Hawaiian Pizza and it was so good. So much cheese and the crust was good also. Kinda like a thin crust so it wasn't overwhelming and allowed me to enjoy the pizza toppings. Great place for my lunch stop. read more

Better than I expected, foodwise. Stopped by mid afternoon needing lunch to go. Sausage sub was meltingly smooth. The onions and peppers had been cooked low and slow in a rich tomato sauce. Our server was very nice and the restaurant appearance was interesting and nice. When I sat down, I wondered why I didn't smell garlic, oregano, cheese, and tomatoes. We ordered a supreme pizza and a veggie pizza. Neither of the pizzas had any flavor. The was no garlicky taste and the pizza sauce was just lacking in flavor. Our first time here with our family of 4. We are told they don't have any dough for pizzas or calzones because the dough machine wasn't working. (Spoiler alert- someone who came in after us ordered pizza.) ‍ Okay, fine. So we ordered some pasta dishes and chicken piccata. 2 dishes came out. We were told the other two were given to another table on accident. My daughter and I sat and watched my husband and other daughter eat for 15 minutes. Then the waiter brought out one more pasta dish. It's wasn't even the right dish she ordered but after waiting for 15 minutes for her food, she just agreed to eat it. I was still waiting on my chicken piccata. After waiting 30 minutes, he brought it out. My whole family was done eating by then. I was disappointed in the dish - it had no flavor. None. For $16, it should taste better than a bag of Lipton microwave noodles. I couldn't eat it. I made my husband stop and get me some fast food on the way home. $60 for that experience. The waiter said they were understaffed but there were 4 people sitting at a table in the kitchen area talking. I typically don't leave negative reviews but this was a hot mess y'all. The food was really good, but the poor service completely ruined the experience. There were only two waitresses serving a busy Sunday afternoon crowd. There appeared to be two other staff near the bar playing on phones; not helping bus tables or refill drinks. We had to ask if we could order. We had to ask three times to get refills. Our waitress forgot four salads, and when asked to adjust the bill according, she took off $3. Overall, we were there for nearly two hours. Had lunch on 10/27/17. I have never been in a restaurant in years that was this clean. Unreal that old school standards still exist. Food was off the hook great. Love the pizza and calzone. Like that I can see directly into the kitchen. This place is a shining jewel and I will be back again and again. Forget my diet this place is that good. Everything was excellent! My favorite pizza has always been from a well known restaurant in Lexington. But Verona's ranks right up there with their's. Went for my first visit to have a late lunch. The large salad with grilled chicken was super. Ordered a large pizza with toppings I chose. It was excellent and the difference is the cheese. Frankfort folks Ned to give this a try. From the west side of town it just takes a few minutes. I think you will be glad you did. read more
