My husband and I had never tried Fat Jimmy's Pizza so we stopped in after leaving a nearby establishment. There was a steady flow of diners, most of whom were there for the buffet. The buffet included a salad bar, soup, various pizzas, breadsticks, pasta with available marinara or Alfredo sauce, cinnamon-sugar dough balls, and a drink. The items on the salad bar appeared fresh and were kept well-stocked. There was a variety of pizzas that were also frequently replenished. We didn't opt for the buffet, instead we ordered a medium 'Fat Jimmy' pizza. We were happy that substituting green olives for black olives and omitting the mushrooms was an option (pizzas were not pre-made!) and came with no additional cost like we have experienced at other places. The pizza was a chef's kiss! It was LOADED with toppings and the crust was amazing. The ingredients tasted fresh and had just the right amount of crunch. It was so filling that there was plenty to take home for dinner. The restaurant is clean, bright, and has plenty of seating. An employee continually came around to clear tables of plates so that they are not taken back for use at the buffet and to prevent the table from being overwrought with empty plates. It had been awhile since we'd been inside to enjoy the buffet. It's a little under $14 pp and includes the drink, salad, soup, pizza, and dessert items. The buffet is loved by many but I don't think it stands out compared to picking up a pizza or another menu item. For me, the pizza is a mix of fresh and cooled off - and the cinnamon balls that used to be everything got left on the plate. The team hustles cleaning off the tables and keeping food on the buffet. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration. We pulled two tables together and had plenty of room to eat, have cake (which we brought) and sit and socialize. You order and pay at the counter and there is a self serve drink station with cups, ice, drinks, plates, silverware etc. The fellow taking orders was also delivering the food to your table and bussing tables. We didn't feel rushed, sat and talked, had cake and opened gifts for 2.5 hours. They have a buffet, all you can eat, pizza, pasta, bread, salad and some kind of sweet dough as dessert. We opted to order a 14 inch BBQ chicken. It was served hot in about 15 minutes. It was good crust with tasty BBQ and toppings. I would request less onions next time but it was still very good. Woah, Fat Jimmy, Lam-alam-alam, Fat Jimmy had a pizza buffet; open all day; just off Shelbyville Rd in Middletown they say. (Sorry, the establishment's name was too ripe for the song by RamJam). My wife and I stopped in for lunch the other day and I'd now rate it the best in Middletown. We had the Fat Jimmy Special, medium, thick crust and between us only ate half the pie. Totally loaded with toppings including ham; wonder if they have a place way down in Alabam'. They feature an all day buffet with a salad bar, soup, pizzas, bread sticks, various pastas , cinnamon donuts and chocolate chip cookies. They keep the buffet stock with a hustling and attentive staff. The place is bright, spacious and clean. Next time you have a hankering for pizza and all that comes with the buffet, stop on by. 5/13/26 Tonight we took 15 Residents of the Swan Pointe HOA to Fat Jimmy's Pizza. It is a family owned and operated family restaurant. This will be our fourth visit together to eat dinner at Fat Jimmy's Pizza. They offer an All You Can Eat Buffet for less than $15.00. You could also order Appetizers, Pizza, Pasta, Oven Baked Subs, Salads, and Breads (including Hot Buttery Balls). Emma was our cashier and she kept the tables clear. She was very sweet and kept a big smile on her face. She's been there 6 years and recognizes a lot of their customers. We went through the line and if you ordered a salad or a buffet, you helped yourself. There was also the ice machine and soft drink machines to help yourself and then if you were waiting for a pizza, you seated yourself. We got to all sit together down the row by the door. It was great seeing Charlie back in town again. The food was so very good. It's nice to be able to use the buffet and have a taste of everything. The Kitchen Chefs, Ethan and Jose kept the Pizzas and Pastas coming out. More than half of our group used the buffet. It looked so good and there were so many varieties. Emma checked on us and cleared off the table, multiple times. We also got to meet Brian, the Manager. He was a great help bringing food out to the tables and the buffet bar. This is a hidden gem that I didn't know about until recently. Apparently it has been here a while. It is located in a strip mall at the end. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. All the food was fresh and didn't taste cheap. We really liked the variety of pizza. They even had a soup. The soup when we went was taco soup. It tasted really good. The cheesy potatoes did not taste like anything. They needed some salt and pepper. I wouldn't advise them unless you want to doctor them up. I didn't get to taste the pasta because by the time they refilled, I was too full. That was the only downfall- they don't seem to be on top of refilling things. We came on a busy weekend and every single table was bussed and cleaned within minutes of the customers' departure. Tomato Sauce is made in house, and has an interesting mix of herbs with a sweet aftertaste. I used it as a dipping sauce. Pizza was the star of the show! Pepperoni was very tasty. I ate jimmys pizza buffet for lunch today. I would rate this Buffett place above most pizza buffets that I have ever visited. The restaurant was well lit and clean and I we were pleasantly greeted as we arrived. This place offered a limited salad bar, pasta bar and numerous different pizzas. I only had the meats pizza and it was fresh, tasty and overall I would rate it as well above average. I would recommend this place for a family that wants several different styles of pizza. Absolutely fantastic-a Middletown gem! This is one of my go-to spots for pizza in Louisville. At least once a month, you can find me in there, loading up on the buffet. One amazing thing that some people don't know is that you can request a specific pizza to be made for the buffet. The owner is usually there, and he and the staff are super friendly! You can also place a carry out order, or use a service like Uber Eats to deliver. The pizza I get from them is always fresh and tastes great! Or, at least that's how it was for me. Fat Jimmy's is a local pizza parlour located off of Shelbyville Rd. in Middletown. It's a small, dine in shop where they serve buffets, counter service and carry out. Chris and I were craving some pizza, but were also in the mood to try something new so we checked out Jimmy's. We walked in to order carry out and the staff was very friendly and quick. They have different options of pies, appetizers and sizes. We went with their "Tito's" pizza, which included buffalo chicken, banana peppers, and a few other toppings. We ordered the medium and it was a pretty large-sized pizza! We also got an order of their cheesy bread, which is a great option if you are wanting to try one of their apps. The restaurant itself is nice. There are plenty of booths and tables, along with a buffet counter. Their bathrooms were a little dirty, but maybe I just walked in at the wrong time. It's been a while since I reviewed Jimmy's so I thought I would give them an update since things have improved since the last one. The soup tonight was Taco and was delicious. I was surprised when I found out it was homemade. It was so filling you could make a meal out of it and cheese sticks. Much better than last time in. The salad bar was also improved with many added ingredients. Best of all was the selection of pizzas. Among the favorites like cheese, pepperoni, sausage, spicy tito and chicken bacon ranch there was a veggie pizza. It was covered with veggies and cheese and was outstanding. I could not pick a favorite since I liked all of them. The chocolate chip cookies and the sweet dough balls were extra sweet to finish off a very good meal. If you like pizza you'll love Jimmy's. This is usually our go to for Fridays and it does not disappoint. I did a take- out of the chicken ranch pizza today. So good. Everything felt fresh and they do not skimp on anything like those bigger chains. Lots of cheese and lots of toppings. Friendly and quick service. I used to do the buffet pre-covid and have not gone back in to do it yet but I'm sure I will. It is nice to get a variety of pizza that is fresh and doesn't taste like cardboard leftover pizza from two days ago. And they have a variety of other items like salad and pastas. I usually do not eat crust but their crust gets eaten. At least for me, a 10 inch serves as two or three meals so you get you get plenty for what you pay for. Really enjoyed our visit for lunch today. As we walked in i noticed the restaurant was very clean and organized. We were there for the pizza and salad buffet which was pretty impressive for a smaller restaurant. (see pics) Also with the buffet you get a glass to help yourself at the drink area. Plenty of pop to choose from along with sweet & unsweetened ice tea. I enjoy getting my own drink because I can control how much ice goes into the glass. All the pizzas looked great and the ones I tried tasted just as good. Every employee was very friendly and plates were removed quite often. Something kinda cool that I noticed was the chalk board wall....... It's a chalk board that is a wall you can write on. Besides the restaurant being clean, the restrooms were clean as well. I went online, put my order in and was told I could pick up my pizza via drive through in 20 minutes. This was on a Saturday night. The food was hot upon receipt. They used fresh ingredients indeed and the pizza was good. The cheesesticks, for me, left a lot to be desired. They look a lot like the cheesesticks at pap johns but they were hard and didn't have much flavor. This is definitely when I wish there was a half star option.
