The owner is a great guy !!! Booked a party with his new and beautiful hall just next store. He was great with all aspects of planning and made the most delicious strawberry shortcake for the birthday celebration

Love this little local Mexican Bakery. My favorite are the fresh baked bread, pastry, Tamale, and breakfast selection.

This is a pretty good little Mexican bakery makes fresh Mexican pastries which you might find in a typical bakery just some are different but you gotta try cause there pretty good. They have like different sweet breads from strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and even a sweet type called guava. There bread pudding is pretty good, they have sweet pastries and also basic little breads and cookies and my favorite CHOLOS ! Omgosh I love these, there fried long cinnamon pastries that are so good dipped in like chocolate or just by themselves. They also bake and make special cakes if ordered and they serve breakfast and lunch from chorizo and eggs to tacos and tortas! There bread is so fresh and soft! Prices are pretty good and cheap and you also have small tables that you can eat by. They take orders and the workers are really nice and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards but the parking can really suck because it sure can get busy in there!

This bakery is way better than Cafe Con Pan . Veronica's had the best huevos rancheros , coffee and pastries that they make from scratch

Since moving to Staten Island, I've been missing soft, savory fresh Mexican bread to no avail.

I loved everything. If you have a sweet tooth like me, this place can definitely become a little dangerous, especially for the health goals. The banana foster coffee was really good, and the flavor paired surprisingly well with the dessert. I've always heard when you visit a bakery for the first time, you should start with the staples, so I went with the chocolate chip cookie. And, there were so many options that choosing just one was a challenge. That first bite did not disappoint, with melted chocolate inside, just like how I like it. You can taste the sea salt, but it's subtle and doesn't overpower the cookie at all. Such a well executed cookie, so good. The service provided was also pleasant. I'm already looking forward to trying the other flavors of cookies, as well as some of their other drinks. Parking was also pretty easy for me since it's on a corner nearby a residential area. There's also a lot behind the bakery, but there was a sign saying it's for staff, so I'm not sure if customers can park there. Definitely worth a visit!

I tried the toffee chocolate chip which was a delightful twist on the tried-and-true formula. It was definitely loaded with toffee. The cookies are pretty big and cost about $5 per cookie, so it was hard to justify trying more than 1 flavor. The taste is good, but I wish they were a little smaller/cheaper to justify the indulgence. There was also a menu board slide show where I briefly saw an image of a sundae, but it never came back around, so I didn't end up ordering it. There was a pretty extensive drink menu as well. There wasn't really a lot of seating, but they pack up well to go. I would come back to try some of the other flavors and menu options.

You go and pick out the deserts you like from the glass and they come and bring it out to you all pretty on a plate with powdered sugar, the deserts felt cold and fresh even despite it being close to closing and our server was very attentive, kind, and excited even showing us his favourite options! We were seated in the outdoor area, which is nice on a humid day as You can get a decent breeze. 99% of the people who were there were just enjoying their their food and socializing, We decided to sit at a table near a window for whatever reason there was a gentleman at this table who decided that it was okay for him to vape while he was sitting down instead of exiting the restaurant. Not only did he decide that it was okay to vape, he decided that it was okay to blow his vapors onto my mother's head and engulf us in his gaping experience. Instead of noticing (full time hostess in the immediate area), automatically reseating us, apologizing and telling the man that is NOT okay to vape in the restaurant I had to flag a server down and let them know that we wanted a different table. Pretty good service but I really thought that that was a gross oversight on part of the restaurant like indoor smoking is illegal in the first place and vaping really isn't any better (arguably worse depending on what scientific data you're looking at), plenty people have respiratory issues and just preference period. No one should be forced to sit anywhere where a no vaping policy isn't being enforced in 2026. Really disappointed that I can't give this place a higher than a three star rating as a result because the food is pretty good and the servers were quick and pleasant, but the smoking issue to me is a gross oversight as far as basic customer service goes. People shouldn't be made to feel like they're being weird for wanting a different table because they don't want to be surrounded by anything but oxygen, Do better folks. Tried to call and speak with a manager BEFORE leaving this review, was left on hold for close to 10 mins however manager was extremely apologetic and pretty appalled he personally stated that vaping IS against their policy and that the staff should have absolutely been enforcing that. Welp, that's what complaints are for right? Food is decent and staff is respectful but I don't know if I'd go back given that experience if I have alternative choices in the area just trying to enjoy some lunch, drama and discomfort is not necessary indoor vaping is outlawed for a reason people violating that shouldn't get to just go about their day with zero consequences while everyone else is annoyed or having their lung / cardiovascular health put at risk involuntarily. YMMV

3.5 stars (I want to…read morepreface that my review is for a single rainbow cookie, so take it for what it's worth; I just want to make sure that I have a record of it as a place I have tried.) I absolutely adore rainbow cookies, so I was thrilled to see a platter of them from the Paulanto Bakery at a party that I was attending in the area. Since there were several appealing desserts on offer, I only grabbed one of the colorful morsels, but I just found it mediocre. I felt that there was not enough chocolate around the edges and the coating that was there seemed more like light, milk chocolate than it did like the traditional rich, dark chocolate. I also thought the cookie would have benefitted from more almond paste or even a dedicated layer of marzipan. With that being said, it was very fresh and had the perfect consistency. If I see them again, I will gladly give them another try.

The first time was during the pandemic and it was understandable why they would close early and why the baked goods weren't up to expectations, however, the following few times afterwards were a hit or miss. Sometimes the cakes were overly too sweet to the point where my teeth hurts. But maybe that's just my preference so you can discard. You might love sweet sweet cakes but sometimes it is the perfect sweetness. However, the one thing that I find difficult about the bakery is the level of freshness. It's a gamble! On 3 different occasions I have asked the counter girls (who are all very nice btw) if the pastries were baked the same day. Out of the 3 visits there was a young lady that was extremely honest and told me which was made today and which was baked yesterday. I appreciated her honesty, and at that visit, the cakes that were baked same day were delicious, fresh and soft totally 4.5 stars. However, the following next few visits it wasn't that great. I would ask the same question and another young girl would answer it was all the same day which is not true because out of the slices I bought (and four cake slices this past week) only half were very soft and fresh. The other two were stale and some of the cream was sticky. I mean is it annoying that I ask ? Sure. But if it was all baked same day and have consistency I wouldn't need to ask all the time. I keep coming back hoping I get fresh cakes every time. I do love that they close at 9 PM so if you are very desperate for something sweet, then they are the spot to go to. Otherwise, this place is a gamble, hit or miss, which is unfortunate because I live so close to here, I can always walk down the street. The store itself is efficient with many counter assistants, fast service, they take card or cash and the prices are very affordable. No places to sit but it's alright. Unfortunately I didn't finish any of the slices in photo. $18 down the drain. Maybe I'll get better luck next time.
