I worked with Dr. Dave who explained his process and the possible causes of my pains in great detail, but in such a way that I could make sense of it. After two visits with minimal adjustments and some stretching the pain is gone, and it hasn't come back since (it's been at least three months). What I appreciate about Dr. Lathrop is that he takes his time, doesn't over-prescribe adjustments, and doesn't up-sell to get you to come back for services you don't need. On my first visit he spent an hour asking about my health and habits, watching the way I walk and sit, and feeling my back. Then he stretched my lower back and showed me stretches I could do for self care. The second visit was a follow up. He made one more adjustment and sent me on my way. His goal is to provide you with the tools to keep yourself healthy on your own (if possible), not to get you on a rotating plan of unnecessary visits to make a buck. At the time I thought they were great, and she basically is fine, but there are a few things I take issue with in retrospect. One is that they wanted me to come in all the time and assured me that it was absolutely necessary, so on a low income (I was serving in Americorps at the time,) I was paying a 50% co-pay on $52 per visit three times a week. When I made my first appointment, no one warned me that it would cost $250. And they told me that they took my insurance, Group Health, and that it covered chiropractic, when actually it only covered chiropractic after back surgery. I was later sent a bill for over $700. The other is that their motto was "A Woman's Gentle Touch." Roxanne is reasonably gentle, and probably better than many male chiropractors about being gentle. But they were using standard manual adjustments, which are the stereotypical "crack your bones" shoves, twists, pops and pokes. If you want truly gentle adjustments, look for a chiropractor who practices Blair Technique or uses a drop table. It's possible to do completely silent, motionless adjustments which are painless, and in my opinion as a bodyworker, more effective. My new chiropractor does things that way and then tests nerve response to see that the adjustment was effective, and it's amazing - and he doesn't even recommend that I come in three times a week, much less ask me to. Other than that, though, the office is clean, the staff is polite, it's basically a nice establishment if your insurance covers it and manual adjustments are the kind you like.

I went in due to back pain and weakness (I have scoliosis), and he worked with me with that as well as a forward neck. I like that Dr. Greenlee adjusts you where and how you need it, rather than just adjusting away at everything. He's given me exercises to continue my progress at home as well as in the office. We took progress images and the difference in my neck posture was so cool to see! He healed my back and he also recommended some very good exercises to help it stay that way. He has lots of tools to help you get the most out of the treatment... not just a one size fits all.
