What was most disappointing was that we never actually saw the dermatologist. Instead, we were seen by a PA, who was lovely, professional, and genuinely helpful. However, it felt as though she was sent in response to my expressed frustration. When I later asked the front desk whether evening appointments are typically this delayed, I was told that evenings are usually "hectic." That response suggests this wasn't an unusual occurrence but rather an expected part of the schedule. The recommendation for my child was to return for 3-6 additional wart treatments. Unfortunately, there is no scenario in which I'm going to drive 30 minutes to Paramus, wait an hour or more, and then have a five-minute procedure repeated multiple times. I understand that delays happen in medicine, especially in pediatrics. But if evening appointments are consistently running this far behind, the practice needs to either schedule fewer patients or add more support. Families are balancing work, commutes, dinner, homework, etc. Waiting nearly an hour past an appointment time without communication is not respectful. After my lip filler procedure, I was unhappy with the outcome and ultimately required dissolving treatment. I contacted LaserAway multiple times in an attempt to reach a fair resolution. I worked directly with a director named Bryan Dickerson who offered half of the value of the syringe as store credit. However, despite my follow-up emails accepting the offer and requesting confirmation of the terms, I never received the promised follow-up or final resolution. I also disputed the charge with my bank, but the dispute was denied, leaving me to absorb the full cost of an experience that I believe was not handled appropriately. The photos I am sharing are of my own results following treatment. They reflect my personal experience at this location. If you are considering lip fillers here, I encourage you to carefully review my photos and make your own informed decision before choosing Gen as your injector. I gave LaserAway every opportunity to resolve this matter privately. Since they failed to do so, I am now sharing my experience publicly so others can make an informed decision. I even went to your Stamford, Connecticut location, where the injector asked me, "Who did your lips?" When I told her they were done at your Englewood, New Jersey location, her reaction was, "Whoa." I just replied, "Yeah... I know." It was honestly embarrassing knowing the work had been done by another LaserAway location. What makes this even more frustrating is that after my first procedure, I was told to get more filler because it would correct the lumping. When that didn't work, I was later told that my lips simply "didn't accept the filler." I subjectively had good results hair for growth with 3 PRP scalp injections, which were reasonably…read morepriced at the time. Unfortunately, I could not afford to continue treatments beyond 3 months at the time. Since then, I invested in the materials and in learning the skills to perform the procedure myself, which I recommend to all healthcare professionals, given the cost and need for continued treatment to maintain results. As a PSA, I want to share what I looked like 3 days after treatment. I had extreme swelling that started the following day, peaked at 3 days, and did not get back to baseline until day 11. The only warning I received was a berating description of another woman who called and complained that she had mild swelling under her forehead forward after she received treatment. I had extreme swelling after the first session only, and I still would have opted for treatment knowing this might happen, I just wish I would have been informed. Even worse than the physical appearance was that I had difficulty seeing, and could not wear my contact lenses due to the increased pressure around my eyes from swelling. I also had a significant headache for 2-3 days. It was very embarrassing, and 10 days was a long time to go with being so deformed. I consider potential side effects from treatments administered to be the responsibility of healthcare professionals to disclose, particularly when they affect your ability to function for over a 1 week period. As he gave a berating description of another woman for calling about their side effects, I was intentionally discouraged from reaching out with any concerns. At my second appointment, I tried to tell Dr. Dev himself of my side effects in a very benign way, showing pictures as evidence of the degree of deformity. His newly hired staff staff members assisting with PRP injection at the time asked me how that happened when I displayed the pictures, which I found disturbing, that they had no idea. Dr. Dev' s response was nonplussed. He was dismissive, and continued to act as if anyone reporting effects from treatment was unreasonable, and emphasized that they were temporary. Also, Dr. Dev in my opinion, did not espouse Evidenced-Based Medicine in his practice. While I am aware of the limited existing research on PRP injections, I am also aware of the body of research and their results. Dr. Dev made a point to say there isn't much evidence, but then recommended microneedling for the scalp, citing his anecdotal personal success with microneedling for hair growth. While I appreciate anecdotal evidence, I lost my faith in his physician abilities when he cited anecdotal evidence for a treatment after dismissing another for lack of evidence. I also am in agreement with the other review that described difficult venous access. I was poked and prodded an excessive number of times, when it usually takes 1 attempt from those with any phlebotomy experience. I consider Dr. Dev to be an overall nice person, but this was my experience.
