I'm disappointed with both the results and the customer service at this spa. Before coming here, I had already completed 6 laser sessions at another facility and had great progress with hair reduction. I then purchased a 6-session package with this spa and used 3 sessions, but after those treatments I noticed more hair than I did after my first 6 sessions elsewhere. After 9 total laser sessions, I should be seeing less hair, not more. On top of that, when I had to cancel last minute due to unexpected helth issue and not feeling comfortable coming in, they deducted one of my prepaid sessions as a cancellation penalty and refused to make any exception. I understand businesses have policies, but I expected better results, more empathy, and better customer care. read more

I went for a Botox consultation and went forward with what was "recommended" because I trusted then, although it was not what was said to me previously. My review: I went here for beard removal. Had gone to another place in Nauet, Ideal Image, for under the chin removal and it worked great. But it was too expensive so when I found a Groupon for Elysium and signed up for six full face treatments. On the 2nd visit, I told the tech that no hair fell out. She said it takes time. I told her that when I went to the other place, my hair started to fall out after the first treatment. On the 3rd/4th treatment day, we had the same conversation, she said it takes time, all hair is different...On the 5th treatment day, said again, its not working. She said well if it hasn't worked by now, it probably won't work at all. I asked so what do I do now? She suggested another laser but I would have to buy a different package. She wouldn't let me switch to the other device. This was unacceptable so after some back and forth with another person there, they said I could switch to the other laser. Why this was ever a problem is a mystery to me. What difference does it make to them which one I use unless they want to force me into paying more money? Why wasn't a different laser recommended a few treatments ago when the laser they picked for me wasn;t working? Well, to get more money of course. So I left, no treatment that day, and got an appointment for the new laser treatment since no one was there that day that was trained to use it. When I went back for the 6th treatment, they said I was done with my 6 and had to pay more. Of course, they didn't mention this the last time I was there and made another appointment because someone is more likely to pay more if they took time out of their schedule to come down expecting a treatment. I told the woman that I did not get a treatment on my original 5th treatment so this was my 6th. She said no, it's listed that you were here and just kept shrugging whenever I tried to explain what happened. A shrug to me is basically saying f*** off, I don't care. She went and got someone else who also said it's listed on your chart and in the computer that you were here six times and I again had to explain what happened and she finally let me get the treatment. When I went in, the tech (different from the first one) said she could see how well this laser was already working but, of course, I need at least 3 more sessions for another $500. So basically the experts there picked the wrong laser for me, refused to listen and switch devices when I pointed out it wasn't working. Lied saying it just takes time, argued with me and tried to get out of fulfilling their contract of 6 treatments and now think I will pay even more to this company to get what I already paid for. To add insult to injury, there are tipping signs EVERYWHERE in this spa. Real relaxing to see the guilt trip of begging for tips for a crew that certainly doesn't deserve one. Trust me, spend a little more money and drive up to Ideal Image instead of going here. read more

This is a very clean and organized place. Worked with Terry and Ribsime both are amazing. However their laser machine didn't work for me. I did total 12 sessions for my full arms in two years. Last appointment was in February 2024 and improvement is less than 10 percent. I am very disappointed. I knew it wasn't going to be 100% but this is unacceptable. Waste of time and money. I was here about two months ago getting my brows microbladed by Ally and last week was my touch up session. I wanted to wait until my brows are fully healed before writing any reviews. First off, what made me decided on getting my brows microbladed was the fact that I have over plucked by brows my in college, smh ‍. Yes, I it was super thin and no, it didn't grow back fully like it was before so about 15 years ago, I decided to get permanent makeup tattoo (older tattoo method than microblading). Within two to three years later, the so called permanent makeup tattoo faded and I have been applying makeup to enhance the shape and color ever since. I stumbled across a new method of permanent makeup tattoo of microblading on YouTube and have been doing extensive research since. I also reviewed the positive reviews and customer satisfaction from this very office and of Ally, which prompted me to schedule an appointment. I was very cautious and had asked before time if I can be a candidate for the microblade procedure because many technicians refuses to microblade on customers who have had permanent shaded brows. The reception said Ally is fine with it as long as your previous tattoo is faded over the years. With this information, I booked the earliest appt. The office is on the 4th floor of the building and there's plenty of parking. Upon arrival, I was given documents to complete. Few minutes later, Ally came and greeted warmly. Within a few seconds later, Ally said she couldn't microblade my brows because I have had my eyebrows tattooed. I explained to her what the receptionist said. Seeing that it's not my fault and yes, I have already paid for the nonrefundable procedure, Ally said she would try her very best on microblading my brows but to keep my expectations low because there's still some shade appearing from the previous tattoo work. Before Ally begins, she measures using her tool and draws the online for the brows. You have the option to draw it yourself if there's a certain shape you prefer. I wanted my brows to be a bit thicker so Ally drew it thicker to cover my previous shaded tattoo, which is perfect. Once you agree on the shape, then she begins to numb your brows with some topical cream for a few minutes. Ally shows me a new blade in a bag and then opens it and the process really begins. It feels like someone took a thin blade and scrapes it into my skin. It's wasn't terribly painful but there are some pain. About 40 minutes later, the procedure was done. Yes, I looked like Cookie Monster for a few days which was expected! Haha. A few days later of applying ointment (which Ally provided with instructions) the skin will scab and in no time, the beautiful eyebrows will appear. I made an appointment six weeks later for a touch up with Ally and it's been a week after my touch up and I love my brows! Overall, I highly recommend Ally. She's very professional and funny too. She follows up with me the day right after the procedure and throughout the week and answers any questions or concerns. read more

Had issues with this place on two separate occasions. Practitioners are very sweet, management is a shitshow. As a licensed esthetician, I highly recommend you steer clear of this place. Came in to get bleaching done - only once already undressed and on the bed did I find out it was $250 a session & I'd "need" multiple sessions. I didn't want to go through with it but was assured I'd see a difference after the first session and then could decide if I wanted to continue. There was absolutely no difference. Not even a slight change in pigmentation (we took before and after pics to confirm). They also sell you a mandatory at home bleaching kit for $115, it's $35 on Amazon. When booking the appointment I was told the kit was part of the treatment. Instead in person I was charged $350. I tried to return the kit unused the same day & they created such a problem about it. They took the kit back but did not refund me. I called every day, sometimes twice a day, for 2 weeks. Only after 2 weeks did I finally get a call back from the manager. Also, prior to this I had bought a laser package here. Only at my last session did i find out they had been using two different lasers on me and that's why i didn't get any results. One laser is older, the other is newer and stronger. Apparently my first 3 sessions were with the newer one & my last 3 were with the older one. They used the old laser in hopes I'd repurchase a package, but they didn't expect me to find out there were two different lasers used. When i brought this frustration to management, they did not offer a refund nor at least 3 complimentary sessions to make up for it. When I said I'd leave a review, they then offered 1 complimentary session. Unprofessional and sneaky - should have been brought to my attention at my first appointment that they have two different types of lasers, and allowed me to choose which I preferred to use. For a hole in the wall spot in Paramus, it's highly overpriced. All they care about is $, not the patient nor client satisfaction. read more

I had a Groupon for a laser hair treatment for my legs. The staff was wonderful and everything clean. I didn't have to wait long and making appointments were pretty easy. They even have Saturday hours. I no longer have hair on my legs! So I decided to take the plunge and for a Brazilian and under arm treatment since I had a great experience. I have noticed the waiting time has gotten longer so I took a star off. Also I know they have a policy of not accepting Groupons if you used one already. I figured that much out but I had seen complaints of this info not being fully disclosed. I haven't tried so it's fine with me. I also make sure I check for deals because they will have special deals that they will email you or advertise at the office. So if you can't use a Groupon then just be patient and wait for the deal you're looking for! read more

I trust her implicitly as she has always suggests the right products for my particular skin. I absolutely loved her suggestion and actually saw a change in my skin within a very short time. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction (I am extremely sensitive) and requested a refund. Elysium was willing to exchange the products but not refund. I was willing to accept the exchange but they did not have any products for me at that specific time. While I understood their position, I was still very upset. I want to start off on my first experience at Elysium. I had purchased a Groupon for a small area package for laser hair removal about 2 years ago as my friend had been here before and said how amazing they were. when I went for my 6 sessions it was just what I expected although sometimes as they would up the amps on the laser it would hurt a little more then usual. I could never remember for the life of me my estheticians name but she was always nice. however fast forward for now, I realize what an absolute rip off they are. on their Groupons it states "limit one per person, may buy additional as gifts". Someone had purchased a laser hair removal package AS A GIFT FOR ME. This person DID NOT know I had gone there before an obviously it was a gift so I did not know I was going to receive it. I had called to make an appointment and I told them it was a gift and what package it was for, the lady I spoke to was so rude and goes "sorry 1 per person". and that is ALL she kept saying. I explained to her that this was a GIFT not purchased by me and she just kept saying it is limit 1 per person. I had the Groupon pulled up and I told her it DOES NOT SAY if you have purchased 1 before, you CANNOT receive one as a gift and how was the person who purchased it for me even suppose to know I had gone there before? she was so nasty and said it can either get returned or I can pay the difference so I can pay the full price of the package that they charge. The full price is like $600, sorry but no. the point of the SOMEONE BUYING A GIFT for someone is for the person receiving a gift not to pay the difference, especially an additional $350. Needless to say I informed the person who purchased it to return it. That is an absolute rip off that if you have purchased a Groupon before you cannot receive one as a gift. since my first service I had always recommended this place and now I won't. and I won't be returning.
