We used Brian Rossman of Vestira for a recent refinance of my jumbo mortgage. I have pretty high standards (and therefore often disappointed), so when I say that he has my highest recommendation, you can be assured he goes above and beyond in terms of knowledge, service and agreeableness. I had no idea it would be so helpful to have a great broker. He was able to get a better deal from the same bank that owned my original loan than I could on my own. He is a Upfront Mortgage Broker such that his fees were disclosed early in the process and I was assured of having any extra savings passed on to me. In fact, he was able to lower my rate after it was locked! He communicated very frequently and helped me keep track of where I was with documentation. The mortgage approval process has become much more arduous than it was a pre-2008 and he listened patiently to my complaints about all the details we needed to handle. He also made himself available after-hours in the event I had questions at signing. We were able to complete everything by email and fax, so I have not had the pleasure of meeting him- my only regret is I have yet to shake his hand. read more

We selected Vestira to refinance our house because they are a member of upfrontmortgagebrokers.org, who would tell you upfront the cost of the loan. We're so glad we did. We've found Brian to be the consummate professional who's managed to get the loan closed for us in a timely manner. Originally we applied our house as a multi-residential, because it has an accessory dwelling unit. Then there was an appraisal issue, and the loan was suspended. Brian worked to resubmit our loan as a single residential and advised us ways to bring down our debt-to-income ratio to qualify for the loan. We'd appreciated this resourcefulness and resubmitted our application. In the end we ended up getting an excellent rate. In our experience the entire process was as smooth as we could possibly expect. Over 25 years I've dealt with about at least ten mortgage brokers on different real estate transaction. Brian handled the refinance of my home in 2013. (I should have written this review much sooner.) He did an excellent job for me - his services were so great that I referred him to several family and friends. (In fact, my brother ended up hiring Brian to financing three properties.) The most important thing I can say about Brian (and Vestira) is that he is honest and trustworthy. One of my biggest concerns when looking for someone to handle my loan was whether they would be gouging me with hidden fees or pushing a mortgage product that did not fit my needs. With Brian, everything was disclosed upfront and all fees were minimized. The transaction went smoothly without any problems at all. Brian also handled the mortgage of one of my co-workers, whom I referred to Brian. Based on what she told me, he went above an beyond to advise her on many aspects of her purchase - his focus was on making sure she was well informed and had the best outcome, rather than on simply closing the deal for a commission. I also referred him to my neighbor, who told me that Brian convinced her not to finance her investment property because it was not in her best financial interest, even though it meant that Brian would lose commission on the deal. So if you are looking for a mortgage broker, I could not recommend anyone more I highly than Brian. He will give you advice that is in your best interest, even if it is not in his own best interest.
