They go out of their way to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Dr. Michael Canfield, Dr. Maria Ierace & Dr. Richard Borecky are knowledgeable and caring vets. They make sure you understand what needs to be done, what side effects if any of the medication your pet needs. They take as much time as they need to treat your pet. If your pet is scared they sit on the floor to calm them down. They go very slow in doing the routine stuff: temp taking, listening to their heart etc. I wish I could give them a hundred stars.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Animal Hospital of Regency Park,…read moreespecially after trusting them with the care of my dogs for more than 15 years. What was once a veterinary hospital I respected and trusted has changed dramatically. During my recent visit today, I found the front office staff argumentative over paperwork and dismissive when I tried to express my concerns. Instead of feeling like a longtime client whose concerns mattered, I felt as though I was being treated as an inconvenience. What makes this especially difficult is that this was once a place that made me feel like I was part of a family. Today, they made me feel like nothing more than a dollar sign. After more than 15 years of loyalty and trusting them with animals who are members of my family, that feeling was incredibly disappointing. After the interaction, I went outside and decided that I wanted the records for all of my dogs transferred to another animal hospital. When I walked back inside, I overheard two employees at the front counter talking about me. I also heard vulgar language being used while they were discussing me. I confronted the situation and said, "If you're going to talk about me, at least have the courage to say it to my face." Regardless of any disagreement between a client and staff, talking negatively about a client within earshot and using vulgar language is, in my opinion, completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. After more than 15 years of bringing my dogs there, this was an incredibly disappointing way for that relationship to end. Animal Hospital of Regency Park used to provide top notch service and made me feel that the animals and their owners genuinely mattered. Based on my experience today, I no longer feel that way. The compassion and personal connection I once associated with this hospital seem to have been replaced by attitude, arguments over paperwork, and what felt to me like a greater concern for money than for maintaining relationships with longtime clients. I am now taking my dogs elsewhere and requesting their records be transferred. If I could give my experience a negative star rating, I would. It is truly unfortunate to walk away after more than 15 years, but when a place that once made you feel like family suddenly makes you feel like a dollar sign, you realize just how much has changed.

They had me drop the dog off, not see a Vet and they would do surgury to relieve the pressure from the bleeding under his ear flat. I got the dog back a few hours later, his ear was filling up with fluid when I picked him up. The next day it was the same as when I drped him off. I did not get any info on how he was going to get relief. I was charged for an office visit, never got to speak to the vet Spent almost $400.00 dollars and the poor dog is in pain with swelling in his ear. So if you want a Veternarian that charges you money, but does not help your animals they are the ones to go to. The office Staff and vet techs are very nice, the Veternarian care STINKS!!!!!

Sierra told me that they sometimes light a candle in the waiting area. I asked if she could not light it before my appointment because I will become ill. She said that they could try, but couldn't guarantee it. I told her that this concerns me because if I get there and I'm breathing in chemicals from the candle I will have to cancel my appointment and leave. I don't want my cat to go through the stress of getting there and then we have to leave and she can't be seen. She said she could try to put a sticky note by the candle on the 17th, but the boss likes them to light the candle sometimes because it gets smelly, but can't guarantee anything. I asked her if she could tell the boss and staff about my health condition so they do not light it and she said she can't guarantee no one will. When I'm exposed to fragrance my throat begins to close, my sinuses become inflamed, my eyes become very red and itchy. Additionally, I have flu like symptoms from head to toe, including my stomach and widespread body pain. This can last for days or longer and requires medical attention. It's an immune response which is something they should understand working in a medical practice. It is very common for animals to have allergies in Florida due to the environment, so it's not a new concept for them. The more I was attempting to brain storm ways to make it work, her tone of voice became more annoyed and condescending which I did not appreciate. There was no genuine empathy or an attempt to understand. It made me very uncomfortable. This isn't fun for me. I wish I didn't have this allergy, but I do. It's not something I can control, but adding chemicals to an environment is something that can be controlled. That is a choice. If you have a new patient coming to your business and her mom will become sick and need medical attention over a candle, why the candle can't be put away and the staff informed ahead of time is beyond comprehension. I told her I would have to think about this, she said "okay" like it didn't matter at all. The lack of compassion and professionalism was wild. I was getting ready to establish my cat with this vet for years and spend a lot of money having her teeth cleaned and X-rays performed. I was about to put my full trust into them with my precious cat who I love with all of my heart. I'm pretty shocked I was treated this way and wanted to share my experience so that others don't go through the same thing I did. When a place that works with animals treats people this way, it makes me question how they will treat my baby who can't speak or advocate for herself. It is not worth the risk. I found another vet's office that was understanding and kind so I will be taking my kitty to them. I will not be reading a reply from the business and I am not interested in any further communication.

They have consistently gone above and beyond to provide the best possible care for my senior dog. I've been bringing Bailey to Gulfview for over a year, and during our most recent urgent visit, the entire staff immediately jumped into action. They rushed Bailey to the back and stabilized him until I could get him to a specialist the next day. I've honestly never met a vet who cares as deeply as Dr. Wishik. She always takes the time to explain everything in detail and makes sure I understand all of Bailey's needs. The staff consistently follows up, even when I send over medical records from another vet--they still call to check on Bailey afterward, which I really appreciate. I use another clinic for basic shots and routine things, but the level of care doesn't come close to what we receive at Gulfview. If you're looking for a veterinarian who is truly compassionate and dedicated, Gulfview Animal Hospital in Port Richey is the place to go! I genuinely wish there were more vets like Dr. Wishik.

They price gouged me after taking my puppy in to get checked out after an incident. She got an awful infection from the surgery that was apparently necessary, but later found out from another vet, was not. With all of this mess I'm left broke. But there was a blonde girl there that tried to resolve the issue with me which I appreciate but the damage was already done. Please don't take your babies to this place, you'll leave broken hearted and a broken bank account.

The first visit resulted in recommendations for x, y and z shampoos and to bath my pup every 2-3 days. After 10 days with inflammation coming back right away each bath, tried to call for advice. First issue, they never answer their phones, leave a message and wait for a call back on their time, always! When I did finally hear back, I was instructed to just keep doing what I was, no other instruction. After a couple more weeks, I sought a second opinion. That vet reviewed their diagnosis and wanted me to start antibiotics since their plan didn't seem to be working. I ended doing a follow up appointment with the dermatologist that turned defensive quite quickly. On my part because I had little to no confidence and didn't want to debate on what itching "is" and allergies "are", on their part because I wasn't content with the lecture. I hoped to get a consensus, but most importantly help my pups issue. As I told them I had seen another vet, with the contention in the air, they happily said well your all set then and were happy to let me leave without further conversation. I do not feel my pups best interest were involved during the entire 5 week process and it was all a waste of time and money. Others seem to have had success with this group, and good luck to all the owners and their pets who hopefully have success. I personally have never seen such a disconcerting behavior about pets from a vet, I will never make another appointment
