Sitting just on the outskirts of downtown Filmore is this newish skatepark that's an interesting mix of street and ramp. The setup is dominated by a large scattering of street style bits and pieces that includes all kinds of boxes, ledges, banks, stairs and rails. Even the three different entries to the skatepark are fully skatable. It's an eclectic mix but really versatile and offers a lot of options and challenges. The central area contains a bunch of transitions that loosely form an open bowl. They range in size from 4-8ft and also include a hip and a couple 1.5ft extensions. It all kind of works in a strange way and isn't like anything we've seen before. There's also a relatively unused mid sized pool style bowl (6-9ft) that has nice transitions and pool coping. Great for beginners and expert skaters, I recommend going early in the morning and late at night…read morebecause it gets EXTREMELY hot in the afternoon. Bring water because there is a water fountain but it's always warm water. I also recommend wearing a helmet when u skate because the police roll up sometimes and give tickets to people who ride without a helmet. Not the place to go with children under 10. It's relatively small but great skating otherwise, bring skate wax because the copings aren't grindable without it. Happy Skating

She was passive aggressive and rude and even made my 10 year old feel dumb for asking innocent questions and kid would ask, would be great if a knowledgeable staff member worked there , maybe someone who was passionate about skateboard history and was excited to show off their amazing collection. We felt awkward , unwelcome and like we were annoying her just being there. Which is a bummer because we drove an hour (after flying from seattle ) just to visit.

There were 2 spots left in the lot and street parking, because it is shared with apartments, was non existent.
