This is really a problem. CRPD contracted with a low budget, understaffed, and ill-equipped company! I ended up helping the elderly instructor as she was unable to sit on the floor to show proper chest compressions. The mannequins were too heavy for her to lift and NO disease barriers for making mouth to mouth contact with the mannequins. GROSS!! Instructor fatigued easily and seemed out of her league. The poor kids that were there just wanted the two hour session to end so they could claim they were "certified" for their babysitter jobs. NO WAY were these unsuspecting kids ready or able to deliver proper and effective CPR to anyone let alone precious children! Class ended with the instructor exhausted as her slovenly boss showed up to collect the money. No certificates were issued. Called CRPD and was told, "oh well ... what are you gonna do..." Government and its cronies at their finest!! NEVER AGAIN for any CRPD class!

The best part is the Drill and Play is with Coach Meredith. She's a truly excellent coach. It's a small session, limited to 12 players. You have to sign up through the AGAPE website. These Drill and Play sessions are set up so higher skilled players play one week, lower skilled players the next. The first hour every session is spent practicing a specific skill. Coach Meredith is a gifted teacher. She always breaks down the skill into bite sized chunks so it's easier to master. Like, for example, first practicing just the footwork itself, no ball or paddle. Then adding them on one at a time. After allowing adequate time to individually practice whatever skill is being taught, we play games the rest of the first hour without keeping score. Not worrying about the score gives one the opportunity to practice skills not yet fully mastered. The second hour is regular play. Coach Meredith circulates continuously, pumping everyone up with her positive energy and emphatic vocal encouragement, all the while providing further insight and/or instruction where necessary. No email after a week, so I emailed to ask the status and was told the main extra (shock absorber post) was being shipped there and would arrive within a week, and asked me to pick it up and bring it back in when the part arrived. I wrote back that I don't drive unless I have to (medical), have never ridden an e-bike so would be transporting it home to learn to ride it, and so asked him to store it until the part was in and it was a full build. Scott accommodated, and I got a fully built PERFECT bike for me yesterday. Scott helped me load it into my SUV (a tight fit, so grateful for his help) and I shook his hand. Got it home, unloaded it, and am more than excited to learn a new healthy habit. Thank you, Scott!
