My experience with Seniors Helping Seniors in The Villages was going great, until I mentioned that…read moreI needed to know where the caregiver, David, was taking my husband. They dropped us after two straight months because I made one comment. My husband has cancer and awful dementia and I needed to know where he was taken. Now I have no caregiver for him. I am very disappointed with this service. Please don't use them. They take your money and don't care about the client.

The guy they sent, David M, thought I was a terrible wife, asked personal questions, and even…read moreshowed me a picture of he and his girlfriend together. He goes to church, I guess to pick up women. He also mentioned, in detail, the time a gay friend grabbed him in the hot tub. He asked me on two occasions if I would remarry. None of his business. He was my husband's caregiver, far too nosy and personal for my taste. But my husband liked him. On Monday I said, "If the rec center won't let you play pool because of the election, please bring my husband back home." My exact words to David, but he didn't bring him home. They drove around and went to another rec center. Free mileage for me because I wasn't supposed to know that they left. My husband has bad dementia, and metastatic bone cancer, and cannot be saying where he wants to go. I have to know where my husband is, and made that clear. So because I complained, I lost a caregiver and have to cancel my doctors' appointments, no advance warning at all. My husband is very upset that his friend isn't coming back. I wanted someone else that played pool; they didn't have anyone else. I should be able to know where they go without losing the service. Buyer beware!!!
