Purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer from an ad on Craigslist on May 15, 2019. Thought it was a…read morelegitimate purchase because it stated" come view at Advent Thrift." It also stated it had a "60 Day Warranty" and no where did it state repairs only NO REFUNDS. I am a single working mother with 2 sons who have blood diseases and after speaking with Al over the phone found a person to pay and have the set picked up. When the pickup person arrived he entered the store asked Mrs. Peters (Manager) for Al and she stated "right over there." The washer tub has numerous rust spots and clothes have been damaged. I called and spoke with Al and asked for a refund and he stated "no refunds only repairs" and I stated that was not stated in the ad and he agreed that it was not. He offered to come to my home and change out the tub and again I requested my $$ back and that the ad needed to be clear in reference to a "60 Day Warranty". He at which time stated "it was not a good time for him to speak and that he was hanging up." I called him back and asked again for a refund and he stated no again and claimed he almost ran into something talking on the phone with me. I told him I would not call again but rather have legal contact him. Next, I called and spoke with Elizabeth Peters (Manager) of Advent Thrift and explained to her my circumstances, she indicated that he was leasing space and that she had not seen the ad. She wanted to call him and offered to call me back. I received a return call from her and she stated "He offered to repair the tub so leave me out of it." I am competing paperwork and filing a small claims judgement against Al. To protest not having the terms honored is worth the $78 plus $20 to have a sheriff serve the judgement/paperwork. Always keep receipts and take a screenshot of ads...I am so glad I did!! On the receipt, he had another opportunity to write "no refunds only repairs"...but he did not. Advent Thrift need to require leaser's to have insurance and state clearly they are a separate entity. They may be liable also.

Love Collinsville Trade Day flea market as there is always something for everyone. We walked to the top of the hill where the live animals are sold and made our way down and around the isles. We weren't shopping for anything in particular but got some good deals. It was a perfect cool/breezy/sunny October day which made it even better! Alabama is a lovely state! As you get out of your car in the grass parking lot, you'll be looking at what can only be described as a shanty town... at best. It's what you'll find in these shanties that makes this place special. Are you looking for a goat? How can anyone reserve a table if you NEVER answer the phone. I do not want a table out in the field I want a table under the shed/shelter part which you have to call to reserve. I do not recommend, it's too much of a hassle to get them to answer the phone, therefore I can only imagine how it would be if I was there as a seller and had an issue.

Everything is inexpensive - and thus really hard to resist! The vendors we interacted with were very nice. There are vendors selling an enormous range of products - from cosmetics to metal detectors to antique guns. There were a couple of people selling regular flea market stuff but most vendors were only selling specialized things like jewelry or music. There is a manager you can call, if you want to be a vendor there or have questions on where it is located. He's a nice guy named Junior (his wife runs the concession stand) and his phone number is 678-787-2975. They have lots of graveled parking. Their concession stand has ice cream and drinks and snacks. I think the concession prices were pretty reasonable (50 cents for chips, I think? I can't remember).

This store used to be a Walmart many years ago without groceries. So if you know Walmart stores with both groceries and general merchandise and take away the grocery side, then you can imagine how big it is. There are so many vendor booths throughout the store with a HUGE variety of things. Almost any vintage things you can imagine may be found there. It's really great if you are into decorating with vintage home decor items. It's usually quiet in there as well which is nice, even when there is a crowd.

The store is huge and filled with so many interesting things I was able to find a few things I wanted to buy. I brought them to the counter, all had tags attached to them which the cashier removed, rung us up, I paid and we were on our way. Unfortunately, about a week or two later, I received a call from Joanna at the store saying I hadn't paid enough for the items I bought and she said I owed her another $53.41. In good faith, I provided her with my card information and asked her not to process the card until I had a chance to take a closer look at my receipt. She ignored that entirely and put the charge through immediately and after looking at my receipt, I noticed I paid exactly what was marked on the books I bought so I did not owe additional money. This was very rude given that she had the card in hand, so I clearly wasn't trying to avoid working with her. I ended up putting in a complaint to my bank and had the charge debited back to my account. Had they not removed the tags entirely, I could have provided the tags as proof. Lesson learned: demand to keep the tags or take photos of them if you shop here.

I have small feet and have not been able to find tactical boots for EMT clinicals. Every where I tried had the boots but not in a women's size 6. I mostly just got a shake of the head and was told that ' I wish we could help you'. Not here!! Even though they did not have the boots in my size, the employee researched what all brands they could get in my size and gave me prices with shipping dates! They were MUCH more helpful than anywhere else. The selection of the store is very good, also. If you are in the LEO, EMR, Fire, or militarily fields, this is your dream store!!
