I would totally recommend anyone leaving their fur babies here! Both of my fur babies stayed here and seemed to enjoy it. When we got back to LA they were both fully tired. Maybe of all the running they do in the daytime. They also got groomed the day prior to picking them up. I will be leaving them here again when traveling to Ensenada. The staff did a good job trimming them down. It seemed as though the long nails were affecting his walking. Prince and I don't see eye-to-eye when it comes to trimming nails. We both have severe anxiety attacks. Prince immediately runs to his bed now whenever he sees me sitting on the floor. I don't blame him because I've clipped his pads a few times. It's that bad. After getting over the guilt, I finally gave in and found Gina. It's the best decision I've made for both Prince's and my wellbeing. The staff are nice and the center's rates are reasonable. I took my French Bulldogs in for a routine bath. When I arrived home and was carrying them from the…read morecar, I noticed that one of my dogs had a completely missing nail on his right paw. The toe was severely swollen, red, and bleeding. I was not informed that any injury had occurred while he was in their care. When I contacted the groomer, I was told it was "probably" due to my dog scratching at the kennel. I found this explanation difficult to accept, as my dogs sleep in kennels at home every night without issue. The injury also appeared far more severe than what would be expected from simple scratching or a nail coming off on its own. My main concern was the lack of communication and accountability. If my dog was injured while in their care, I expected to be notified immediately and treated with honesty and concern, rather than given a speculative explanation that appeared to place blame on my dog. Additionally, the injury was minimized when I spoke with the groomer, who suggested a veterinarian would "probably just prescribe antibiotics," which did not reflect the seriousness of what I was seeing. As a pet owner, it was distressing to find my dog in pain with a significant injury, and I expected a higher level of professionalism and compassion. I entrusted them with my dog for a routine bath, and he returned injured and in pain. Due to the injury, lack of transparency, and overall handling of the situation, I cannot recommend this business.
