I cannot recommend this place enough. My cat had pretty bad teeth resorption--enough that her primary vet was worried an extraction would break her jaw! I'm a very anxious pet parent and finding a place I felt like I could trust was really hard. My vet recommended VDS to me and I couldn't be happier. Before her surgery they spent an hour telling me everything that was wrong and everything that they would do. They kept in constant contact with me (via text and sometimes phone call) while I waited to let me know how she was doing, and even called to confirm any serious actions they were taking (such as asking for permission to remove certain teeth!) They went above and beyond in their kindness in taking care of my sweet girl. The last time she had a tooth removed her recovery took over two weeks--this time it took about three days. She is happier, healthier, and no longer in pain. She even GAINED weight in the three weeks since! The price point is definitely high, especially if you don't have pet insurance, but they are transparent about their costs from the start (most places aren't!) and it's an amount that I was willing to invest for her. I truly wish I could thank VDS 100 times a day for taking care of her. She's my whole world and she gets to live a lot more comfortably now, so I can, too! (She looks angry in photos but that's just her face)

Our Malla getting tender loving care from VDS!

Our 13-yr-old chihuahua Malla was always sensitive to anesthesia, so when she developed serious teeth/gum issues, we thought we were out of options, until our vet recommended VDS with on-staff anesthesiologists. Even being 2 hours from home, weighing costs and her advanced age, we felt confident enough to go forward with dental surgery, and we are so glad we did! Dr. Eroshin explained everything in great detail, and with us not being inside due to COVID protocols, the staff kept us updated every step of the way (with texts and even a photo, below), and everything went perfect! Not only did she recover quickly, but the gum issues/infections were so serious that she is now in much better health and running around like a puppy again. Thanks to Dr. Eroshin and VDS, she now has many more happy years ahead, and we can't recommend them enough!

    The day after dental procedure

Amazing Place! I was searching for a dentist for my dog Maggie. She had some swelling due to carnassial tooth infection. I was terrified of bringing her to a vet since it is the largest tooth in dogs mouth and has three roots. I was so, so lucky to find this place while searching internet. First of all when you call the office Karin says "How may we help your pet today"- I already loved it and had good feeling about it.Everyone literally from the front desk to nurses to the doctor is amazing, kind and so caring. Dr Rice was our doctor. He explained the procedure, called me when maggie was done with xrays, and after the procedure. I was getting texts through out the day on how Maggie is doing. She ended up having three teeth extracted( she is a heavy chewer ) and the next day she was already doing so good. I really highly recommend this clinic. Get pet insurance as it is good to have it anyway and take your pet to a place you can trust like this one. Let me just say that we live in New york City and we drove two hours to get there. I am so happy we did. Super 5 star service.

Willow Tree, about 24 hours post-op home and recovering nicely!

I have never written a review as sad / of this content …read more.. Yesterday, we as a family, had to make a hard and humane decision for our sweet 16 plus year old Dachshund who had been ailing for several months ... Our boy now had fluid both around his heart AND lungs ... He also went down to less than 5 lbs ... We saw a young female doctor who was utterly kind, compassionate and empathetic. She was so gentle with our boy and patient with us. I was bawling and my kids were very upset and teary eyed. We were only offered two options and agreed on the worst one that was best for our sweetheart... The process started and I held my boy while my kids pet his tiny head. Jack passed peacefully and didn't flinch with the needle, as with all other vaccinations in his long life ... We opted for cremation ... we got his paw print in a sweet small plaque and locks of his fur in teeny corked bottles :( I am unwell and will never be the same, but this doctor (I was out of it and forget her name) and assisting staff were exceptional. REST IN PEACE MY JACK - I LOVE YOU FOREVER ... .

I was a total mess when we arrived but the staff was waiting as promised and took my cat to the back to begin working on him immediately. The Doctor came out to explain what was happening and took us to the back. They did everything they could for my little guy but he unfortunately didn't make it :( This was my first time losing a pet and I was of course totally in my emotions but they were so patient and caring. They allowed us to have time alone to say farewell and also walked us through our options which they call "wishes" for the pets. They offered a free paw print keepsake which we really appreciated before we headed back home .... one of the toughest days of our lives but Mount Laurel Animal Hospital staff made it as bearable as anyone possibly could and took great care of our little guy from start to finish.

I will never come back there again To my opinion they are very unprofessional and greedy, keep offering test that wont need it, just in case.. We were continuously given medication without a clear explanation of the underlying cause. When we finally sought a second opinion at another veterinary hospital, we were informed that he had advanced stomach cancer as well as kidney disease. We were told that his condition had progressed significantly and that earlier, more comprehensive testing might have made a difference. We were devastated to learn that it was too late for effective treatment and had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. What makes this even more upsetting is that after losing our dog, we continue to receive repeated calls regarding the remaining balance from the last visit.
