Went to Jewelry Authority with a 7ct, 10k Citrine ring that weighed a little over 4g. They literally offered $93! $93 whole dollars. 10k is going for maybe $68 per gram. Yet, they offered me $93 for the entire ring! How insulting is that? This seems to be a common thing with their business and I'm truly wondering if they only lowball a certain demographic of people. It's bad business and a bad look! Thankfully, I took to ring to a coin/gold business for scrap and they took the stone out of the ring and gave me almost $200 for it. I sold it for scrap more than JA offered! And I kept the stone! So do yourself a favor and avoid Jewelry Authority if you want to get sell your jewelry. You'll probably get more selling it on your own or scrapping it.

I called over to the store to inquire about the radio add, and was told, absolutely, they do buy silver, and it would be best to make an appointment to come in and meet with the manager to get an offer. We scheduled an appointment for Saturday, drove 25 minutes out to the store only to be told by the staff the manager had left to go to the Lexington store...very frustrating, not sure what we made an appointment for, if they couldn't be bothered to honor it, or call to let us know. Upon receiving the watch back all looked good. I had the watch sent to manufacturer for repair upon which I was notified it had internal damage which is only possible if the watch had been opened which in this case it had never been touched accept by Hanoush so upon that information I called the store and was met by total denial from the manager at the Queensbury location, stating and I Quote the woman who first tried could not get into the watch so she herself did it but didn't remember doing it, and said she was reluctant to even send it out to be buffed after they clearly damaged the watch she stated that in the fine print that that's on the jewelry owner which there was no fine print I didn't even sign a piece of paper they wrote my name and phone number down on the back of a piece of paper and said they'd call me when it was finished and took no responsibility whatsoever for damaging the interior of the watch, which is only possible while it's opened according to Movado themselves I got nowhere with her at all and even reached out to corporate several times with no return call. Before I made this I did look at reviews online and it looks like I'm not alone so please if you need a battery changed or repair on your watch I highly recommend not going there, and save yourself the headache of dealing with a company that obviously doesn't take responsibility for their work.

I have been a swiss timepiece collector for over 30 years, and wasn't really looking for a new piece but, after spending a little time walking through the store while my watch was being serviced. The thing that caught my attention while looking around was the wide assortment of non Rolex Swiss timepieces this jeweler offers. Along with the wide range of price points, from entry level to ultra high end. After getting my watch serviced and talking with the gentleman helping me, he showed me a few new watches, all beautiful timepieces. No pressure at all, we had a great conversation about swiss watches, and their dominance in the timepiece market overall. I looked at a couple stellar Omega and IWC pieces and then spotted the Tag in the case and it stood out to me. I have a couple Tags already and had not really thought about another one but, after our conversation and then going for lunch with my friend, I was still thinking about that Grand Carrera and we made a trip back to the store. After a few more minutes we came to an agreement on a price I could live with and they agreed to. Needless to sat, it left with me that afternoon. 5 Stars across the board, which I rarely give. I had contacted Gary Simon beforehand, and he was very open to me bringing things in to look. When i arrived, I was welcomed in, and Gary took his time looking at what I brought. I felt he was very open and honest, and made me a very fair offer. While he looked at things I poked around the shop and saw items he had found on deepsea dives from old sunken ships, and he was more than happy to tell me about them, and show me other items he had in the back. Great shop, nice jewelry + a bonus mini museum of found sunken treasures. They sell both men's and women's jewelry with a nice collection of watches and varying price points. The staff were friendly, and made me feel welcomed. I'd 100% do business here again and would recommend others check it out for either buying or selling jewelry.
