We worked with Ryan, who was able to answer all our questions. Their monthly rate is 1/2 what we paid for Xfinity. It's only been a week, but our internet has not dropped once. Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected. Tekify came to my rescue when I needed to move my business and COMCAST failed big time to establish connectivity in my new location. I reached helpful, local, professional people at Tekify who sent a tech out to survey our site for feasibility. Once surveyed and approved, they were out within a week to install our 800/800 services. Once installed - we tested and - as promised - true 800/800 service was being delivered. But not only was it the contracted bandwidth - the latency was as good as AT&T dedicated fiber we had at our old office - average 3ms!! And when you call with questions - you reach a real English speaking agent - no offshore support here! Tekify is a great home & business internet provider that has both fiber and wireless internet services. I have been following Tekify's journey for the last almost 7 years now, since 2018, back when they were doing mainly fiber installs. I've waited a long time for Tekify to expand into my neighborhood. In the interim waiting for Tekify to expand to my neighborhood, I had switched from Comcast to Sail Internet -- in fact, I was the first Sail Internet customer in my neighborhood (they brought out a few company execs to watch my installation at the time). And, while Sail Internet was my first foray into using a WISP, Sail has stopped innovating and have outgrown their own success. In the time since 2018, I've continually checked a few times about service availability with Tekify, but it wasn't until this year that I reached out and Brett informed me that they now offered wireless internet service to my area! They were able to get me online with their service in about 2 weeks, the lead time being that I was (again) first in my neighborhood to get service from Tekify. Brett and the team have been a delight to work with, they are knowledgeable and have kept up with the innovations in the space to provide high quality service. Unlike their competitor, Tekify's architecture does a direct PtP connection to their POP and has a (licensed) high speed backhaul which provides low latency (under 3 ms), near-gigabit connectivity (900+ Mbps) to the internet, besting Comcast and Sail Internet easily. Great internet speed by every metric imaginable! including the customer service (both installation, upgrade service, and technical support). Tekify showed great interest in me as a customer moving me to better speeds only a few months in. TLDR: Joshua visited my home and performed a speed test, and I decided not to go with Tekify at the time. The price and upload speed were equivalent (ha!) to Xfinity's Gigabit Extra (35Mbps upload). Disaster strikes and Internet providers show their true colors: Neighbor digs up cable line. Critics of cable are right - internet service is affected by the neighborhood. Technician visits do not help. Signed up with AT&T xDSL 50/10Mbps with the hope they can provision me for 100/20Mbps (like what I once had 12 months before) and was denied. With Tekify as my last hope, I contact Brett / Kevin to send Joshua back as I am going all in with Tekify. Joshua was able to help setup my through-the-attic install. I helped do some work getting the cable to my network cabinet with Joshua and his coworker. Joshua was amiable with my request and open to me being around. I contacted Tekify about buffering and internet disconnects with Disney+ streaming service who then verified it must be something with my streaming device. Being a rainy day, Joshua happened to be online and handled my issue with the simplest fix of all time - a solution not searchable on the internet nor by the Disney corporation! Unplug the TV for 10-15 seconds! And that was the fix! LOL! Tekify informed me that the Niles Base Node (BN) was up and running. Joshua came back to swap in a 6Ghz radio and I now have overwhelmingly fast low-latency internet! 497Mbps down / 102Mbps up / 9ms latency. I have been looking for another provider for many years; however, Xfinity has controlled of my neighborhood and no other provide got near their speeds. After close to 19 years or so with Xfinity, I have finally made the switch. The process to get some questions answered was quick. Shortly thereafter, I had an appointment booked for installation. Joshua (the installer) promptly stopped by as scheduled. He walked me through the process and listened to my concerns and requests for installation. Well Monday morning comes and I get a text message stating sorry we can't service your house because of trees. No phone call or any customer service. I call to get clarification and Moses who is the supposed operations manager answers and is a complete jerk. Told me well that's what we do. Most people don't want a call. I stated well I wanted a call or at least an explanation. He said well you know now. What a horrible way to represent your company. If you are looking to grow your business this isn't the way! I just had residential service installed. Joshua was awesome. He communicated with me every step of the way. Internet speeds upload and download are much faster than my old service. I was advised that they are building a 6GHz tower as opposed to the current 5GHz tower.....and my speeds will increase when they finish the new tower and swap out my 5GHz antenna for a 6GHz one. Lived in Union City for 8 years and Comcast pretty much monopolized my neighborhood area for internet. Been looking to switch to another internet provider for over 3 years with none of the other providers in the area being able to provide service to my home. Comcast had become unreliable with outages constantly every few days requiring resets and ultimately outages that impacted me for weeks with no resolution. Being work from home, this was very frustrating. Saw that Tekify started doing residential homes in my area and reached out, scheduled an inspection and then ultimately installation within a few days. Installation went smooth, took the time to walk me through what they were going to do, install the receiver and expectation on speeds. This was back in July and since installation, my internet had not gone down once vs going down every few days requiring a model reset with comcast. I did a quick search for reviews, saw what I needed, and gave them a call to schedule set-up. I spoke to John and he scheduled my install. It was wonderful to speak to someone live who was also amiable. As for the actual install, Julio is a gem. Totally professional and did a great job of informing me of my price, set-up, 2G/5G, passwords etc, but seeing the photos of his torties (cats) may have been the highlight. Tekify fiber internet saved my job. Due to the pandemic I started to work from home in march 2020, I am a accountant, which mean I need to access large number of files online on daily basis. The slow internet I had at the time was really affecting efficiency. I can't have video calls, they will freeze or drop constantly. Accessing documents was very slow. Working overtime almost every day due to the slow internet. I was using AT&T at the time. However they can only provide DSL to my address up to 18mpb. Which is very slow in today's standard and don't really meet the need for the household. So I decided to switch to Xfinity, but after 3 month and multiple installation appointments I was told they can not service my address. (Even though when I signed up, their database shows service is available). According to the Xfinity, there was underground wires set up when the units were build, but the wire was not properly installed with conduit (guiding tub). So after all this years the old wire were damaged and unusable. Since main box is located on the other side of the street. The only way they can connect me is dig open the street to replace it.
