I went there yesterday morning on the hunt for a professional to fix my disastrous highlights that were Orange yellow and Brown. I decided to not damage my hair any more than I had to but to let someone fix it so I could repair it from then on. I was greeted by a really nice receptionist who said there was a stylist availible right then. I met Angela who was very bubbly and pleasant. I discussed how I got into the hair predicament I was in and what I wanted to be done. She seemed to be on the same page of what I wanted, lighter ends darker base. I expressed that I didn't want really dark hair because my boyfriend doesn't find dark hair attractive and I want to be comfortable going from brassy strawberry blonde to a brown colour. She said what I needed was a Victoria Secret look and I was sold. She proceeded to apply a dark brown colour on my roots , but then surprised me when she began to apply it all over my hair. I thought she might leave my already light ends and focal highlights alone instead of dying and then bleaching them again. I felt that this would damage my hair considerably more, but she promised it wouldn't. As she applied the bleach she would pull apart my colour coated strands of hair and I knew then my hair was ripping. After waiting another hour or so , she rinsed me out and began to cut and style. The hair cut went well, she only cut my severely damaged ends and gave me more layers for volume. Then came the part that I felt was completely unnecessary. When styling someone, most hairdressers might consider that if your clients hair is clearly over processed and ripping because of excessive damage that they may have to be very gentle and light handed when brushing. I found Angela to be aggressive in her techniques and she seemed to be rushing because of an appointment she had arriving soon. I felt awkward and uncomfortable as she was yanking my hair so hard that my head was literally being pulled toward her. oddly enough as she was ripping my hair she mentioned that I may need to "baby" my hair which made me think why isn't she taking this into consideration? She dropped her brushes multiple times and even hit me in the head with the blowdryer. Needless to say my hair looked frizzy, dry and off. She tried to make my hair look less damaged by curling it half handedly, but it came out as a slight wave. The apron came off and I felt my hair. it felt almost worse than when I came in , and when I was shown the back of my head I noticed the bad placement of a lone light brown highlight. I paid the 168$ and did not tip as a way of saying I did not enjoy more than half of my experience, and when I got home I made sure to deep condition and promised from then on to always fix my hair disasters at home .

She listened to my concerns, peppered me with questions about what I wanted, and then told me her suggestions/opinions. 2 hours later I emerged from the salon with incredibly natural-looking and gorgeous hair that I am very happy with. The positive results are honestly a restatement to her knowledge, experience and good rapport with her customers. But the positive experience extended beyond the senior stylist's work. For part of the process I was temporarily handed to a more junior stylist (my hair was taking longer than the appointment time - so the senior stylist had to take care of her next client). The junior stylist was able to take over after just a few short instructions, was incredibly pleasant to chat with, and helped make this colour job a success. I can't emphasize enough that you will be in good hands if you go to the shampoo hair bar. All the people in the salon seemed happy and -in my opinion - were getting their hair done in ways which really suited them.

Every time I go to a new stylist I know I am taking a risk. Margo did not disappoint. She gave me a beautiful cut without taking away the length. It is still down to my waist, just as I requested. Her technique was able to enhance the spiralling of the curls without sacrificing volume. She also patiently told me how I can maintain the look between cuts. I'm glad I took a chance on her, and I will definitely be back anytime I need a trim. While I was quite attached to the stylists who had been cutting my hair in Los Angeles for many years, I am pleased to say that Margo is just as good as some of the top curly hair specialists in Southern California, if not better. A staff member assisted me in choosing one and…read moregave me helpful information and tips on how to straighten my hair efficiently, but her manner was quite rude and condescending. The staff member would not let me open any of the boxes to test out the flatirons (even ones that cost more than $250). However, she did let me test out her own "Chi" flatiron which she claimed was exactly the same as one for sale on the shelf. It worked well so I bought what she insisted was the same model. I was in a rush, so stupid me, I did not check closely enough. I was ripped off *and* they do not accept returns.
