I handed over my ID and Kaiser card and gave my information and they were able to easily bill my insurance so I didn't have to handle it after the fact. After some wait my vitals were checked, then I was sent back to the lobby and after a bit more of a wait, I was moved into a shared room. In total my visit was about three hours and I was able to speak to the doctor who ordered my medication to the closest pharmacy and had a first dose ready for me prior to my leaving. When I let them know I hadn't eaten recently they also provided a sandwich and crackers to take with the medication. I was texted semi-regularly with the name of my nurse, my doctor, my room, and when I was discharged - all things Kaiser doesn't do that I appreciated. My visit fee was the same as it is with Kaiser and because they supplied the first dose I was able to head home and go to sleep, picking up my medication the next day. All in all, I appreciated how Mount Sinai made the experience smooth for me and it's nice knowing I have an ER I can go to when I'm in the area.

Geez...I sound like some crazed lunatic, but I had a pretty rough week with my daughter (she has some creepy rash) and Dr. O helped us out big time. Other pluses? There is never a wait, she always calls back when you have questions, the practice is uber clean and the nurses are nice. Which is a nice change in an industry chockfull of dirty waiting rooms, hour-long waits and wicked help. So if you live near the Design District and are fishing around for a new doc, go here. I don't expect her to memorize every child's name that comes to her practice but this is just one example of her impersonality. Henry, the dog and her staff are friendlier. Her staff, by the way are accommodating and patient. She is a straight shooter. Down to business. No warmth,no cuddles, no rainbows and no goddamn bubbles. Get in and get the hell out. Again no problem with her staff. I will never forget how she scolded me when she discovered that I did not realize that my child was autistic. How the eff am I supposed to know?? Smh. I have a new pediatrician now and the experience is way better. And the practice I go to now is BUSIER. But when my pediatrician sits down with my child I see leprauchans and a pot of gold. And no my pediatrician DOES NOT know my child's name by heart either but she CONNECTS with me and child during our visit. Therin lies the difference. I hesitated to write this review for years because of all the glowing reviews. But now I see I'm not the only one. She's not horrible but one can do better. Meh. Oh, but the one good thing, about her is that she is not focused on prescribing unnecessary medicines/antibiotics. I'll add another star just for that.

She is really nice, has great bedside manner, and was efficient with answering all the questions this new mama had about my newborn, vaccinations, otc medicines, etc., The office staff is nice as well. From walk in , new patient paperwork, and being seen, we were in and out in an hour maybe less. I started off with Pediatric Associates for his first few newborn visits as he was still covered under my insurance for the first 30 days of birth, but once I received his insurance information in the mail this doctors office is who we were assigned to for our primary care. I actually really liked the office and the staff and will be coming back here. It's much nicer to be a patient and feel treated more like a human than a number as opposed to Pediatric Associates. Not saying they're bad but they do have their good days and their bad days, but we will only be coming here from now on .

I haven't had to wait more than 10 mins to be seen y nurse. Whenever we get called in the nurses are very kind and interactive with my child which put me at ease cause I'm already worried about my child's ailment. My first visit took about 45 mins total and my second visit was 25 mins more or less. One dr in particular stood out to me; he was an older Latin gentleman, he was so gentle and welcoming, my kid loved him. I would recommend this Nicklaus to anyone. The facility is very clean.

I've never been to this hospital but the rooms are nice and spacious. Most importantly it was clean. I'm sure you all are thinking "well it's a hospital so it should be". However, you'd be surprised. Overall I think this is a great home away from home for the children and their families to be comfortable for the duration of their stay.
