I have been a part of this dance studio for the past 24 years; first as a student, then as a teacher, and now, as a parent. This is a professional dance school offering dance and music programs. This school is able to unify strict educational environment with nurturing, family-like atmosphere. The studio has three spacious dance classrooms, and a private music/voice class space. Students perform in multiple shows throughout the year, including an all-kids full length ballet (The Nutcracker) with guest appearances by Principal dancers from NYC Ballet. Studio faculty are all professionally trained. They are graduates of dance and theater programs at LaGuardia High School, Julliard, Boston Conservatory, NYU Tisch School of Art, Alvin Ailey Dance company, and School of American Ballet. In addition to their regular curriculum, the studio offers workshops by NYC Ballet company dancers, Broadway and off Broadway performers throughout the year. These workshops are available to students in both the pre-professional and recreational programs. Students are also invited to be a part the competition program. Those participating compete in dance showcases/competitions in the Tri-state area. This is an amazing dance school with deep roots in Bay Ridge Community. There are decisions in life that will truly impact and shape you for the rest of your life in such a way that is so wonderful that it cannot be measured. When I was about 5 years old I told my mother I wanted to dance and so she registered me into Vicky's Simegiatos Performing Arts. That decision was the best decision she ever made for me and I am forever grateful for her in doing so. The studio was my home. I received quality education that allowed me to continue a career in the performing arts. I left the studio, and began my life as a performer, building a resume, touring around the US and becoming a member of AEA. That could not have happened without my strong dance foundation I received at VSPAC. Now my next chapter in life is that of an instructor and choreographer. I currently teach at two studios, and one of them being with great pride is VSPAC. I love creating and the studio is once again my home. Vickys is my home away from home. I have been a member of this dance studio for over 22 years. Vicky, and her two daughters Matina and Despina are the most supportive, and inspirational dance teachers you could ever find. I have had wonderful opportunities in my dance career thanks to all that I have learned at the studio. Vicky Simegiatos Performing Arts Center is a great performing arts school in Brooklyn. I first attended the school when I was eight years old and it has inspired me to be the artist I am today. I am proud to say I have attended Laguardia High School The School of American Ballet and Miami City Ballet. VSPAC offers many different classes . They have a great all around dance department as well as a music department. The faculty is absolutely fantastic they all come from professional back rounds. I have been attending this studio since the age of two, and I have seen great improvement in my dancing technique. It is a very family friendly environment and a great place for your children to make lifelong memories and friends. All the teachers are very nice and grateful for all of their students and make sure to give everyone equal attention. I have been going here for 2 years and I love it! My contemporary class is my favorite, but I like my ballet and tap class too. I have so many friends there and it makes it even more fun. I really like all my teachers too and they have big studios. I'm gonna try piano classes there next year because my friends told me they like it.
