Their meat is better, the range is bigger, the service is friendlier, and often the prices are cheaper too. We usually buy chicken schnitzels in bulk here, and have had many good steaks. We also buy all of our free range eggs here, as they're also cheaper. The centre around them has changed, and the store has been upgraded, but the great quality remains the same.

We often buy their sausages which are gluten free. When we cook them there's hardly much grease that comes out and it doesn't taste too fatty or oily. A super plus point for me. We've tried all their chicken and pork sausages so far with our favourites being the chicken and cheese. They also sell ready to bake/cook chicken rolls which are actually really delicious. They have a huge range of stuffings, fillings and marinades with their chicken rolls which makes for an easy dinner. It's always fresh, we've never had a bad incident. They also sell schnitzel steaks, both chicken thigh and breast and these Kentucky style ones, do try the kentucky style ones if you can, the breaded crumb has some delicious seasoning. I think to me, they are a great example of a local business and it looks like they're getting fantastic support just by providing good service and great produce.

And I definitely wouldn't buy the fish from here as it always looks dry. I can however be assured when I buying both SA and Aus products as these are the ones that are easily identifiable. The fruit and veg here is always fresh and reasonably priced, as well it should be seeing as the Willunga Farmers Markets are just down the road. I find the meat section lacking though so I prefer to get my meat at Foodland Seaford where the quality is better, there is more variety and the prices are great. You can often come across great specials here, especially on toilet paper. 48 rolls for $18.99. You can't go past that. And with a Leonard's Chicken in the deli section you can always get a tasty meal to bung in the oven.

Imagine my surprise at finding good curry, at honest prices in a combined curry & fish & chippery opposite the stunning Aldinga beach cliffs. The cafe is clean & bright with a welcoming vibe. Tables are neatly set and floor to ceiling windows face the Esplanade. Friendly service includes a basket of poppadoms warm & crisp to keep the hunger pangs at bay while waiting for your chosen goodies. Sandy feet are welcome, like the boys by the window making short work of a newspaper parcel full of minimum chips. Soon we are brought with a smile a groaning-full & heavy bag of neatly wrapped foil bag parcels and large containers with change from $30. The hardest part is smelling the spicy aromas as we trundle the few kilometres along the Esplanade to enjoy our feast on sparkling Port Willunga beach. The rich, cheesy & spicy tandoori-flavoured 'Vindaloo naan' is indulgent. Curry puffs are handmade and unique thanks to the black pepper sprinkle on the outside and mint chutney for dipping. I was confused by the names of the menu items , but was able to read the description. I first tried a pasty. We do not have these in California or anything that compares to the flakey buttery crust with the delicious fillings. This meat pie was mouthwateringly good. Needless to say I went here a couple times during my visit. I was pleased to find out that this location is mom and pop run for over 20 years. The lines go out the door and down the street when everything is fresh. I was also told I needed to get the kitchnerbun for dessert. This was a huge pastry with whipped cream flowing out of the center. There were so many things to try in so little time. I finished off this treat with a coffee milk. ( see pictures) There isn't much parking, side streets are easiest. There isn't much dining room either, may I suggest the short walk to the picnic tables by the beach to enjoy your meal. The locals seem to just hang out outside and talk while they eat their meals. If I'm ever back in this area again, I will be dining here.

It would be easily done if you could put aside the fear for you waistline! This is definately one of the good ones. They are supposedly famous for their pasties but having tried both - the sausage roll is really something else and absolutely huge! There is a little seating outside and some park benches nearby but it's definately no dine-in establishment. Perfect stop for hungry sufers and sunday drivers!

Toff, Cara and the staff at the Home Grain Bakery have perfected the art of the perfect pie! During my time in Adelaide I must have sampled nearly every "Pie of the Month" and my usual favourite "Beef and Green Peppercorn" which has won the best pie award on numerous occasions. This is my favourite as it is simply delicious. I have never had a chunkier pie! Please open a pie shop in Sydney - as I know you'd do well. I also frequented usually on Saturday mornings so that I could sample the breakfast pie range as well. If I wanted a the 'Bacon Brekky Pie', I needed to be down at the bakery early, because they usually sell out by mid morning. If this pie sells out don't fret because there is usually a Spinach and Mushroom Pie still available. Both breakfast pies are the best I have ever tasted and so much better than a quiche! In addition there are many Vegetarian pie/ pastie options. If you'd like to be temped with some sweet choices - there are lots of Jam Berliners, Finger Buns, Vanilla Slices (Yum), Beerenberg Kitchener Bun,Croissants and donuts. Freshly baked bread loaves are also displayed in the bakery window. Too much choice to choose from. I complement my meals with locally roasted Villere coffee made on the Ruggero Espresso machine. The best coffee 'Down South'! All coffees are served with a little moon shortbread made exclusively by Margaret -Toff's Nan- for the bakery.
