We went to Gallo Pinto based on several recommendations from friends , we made a reservation two…read moreweeks in advance, we arrived 30 minutes early and the hostess was not the friendliest in the way she told us that we had to wait , remember guys is not what you say is how you say it.
So we waited and they sat us down at the reserved time , however they gave us the worst table of the restaurant.
My wife and I are both over6 feet tall but not overweight, and they gave us a table right beside the wine cooler so my wife had the wine cooler right on her right shoulder and I had the servers station right behind me, I stoped counting after a while the times I got hit by one of the servers passing by .
I thought of getting up and leave but we decided to stay, our server on the positive side was outstanding, as far as the appetizers We had the Onion soup, very creative as it is creamy and it has fried crunchy onions on top of it but the flavor or the cream was totally bland, we also had the cheese croquettes and they were OK, now the entrees were very good I had the Surf and Turf and my wife had the BBQ Salmon , they were both outstanding.
For dessert we had the tempura cheesecake, also outstanding, the place is an old house that was preserved and very we'll decorated, the place is very loud at least that was my impression , also there is no parking but on the nearby streets you can park and walk to the restaurant, in general the outstanding server we had and the very good food mostly made up for the initial experience and the awful table we were given, maybe will visit again as there are other plates I would like to try
