It was nice visiting again and spending time here! This park encompasses 70 acres and includes many amenities. For years it was our favorite place to watch the July 4th fireworks each year. Honestly never heard of this place until we were looking for something to do. It's just a couple miles from the main strip of 111. But tucked behind some of the beautiful gated communities, you end up here. We didn't know what to expect or how it would be. Thought it would be some park of sorts. Well... It is tucked with the mountains in the background which makes for a beautiful view. Hiking is not far from it and there's loads of beautiful homes in gated communities. We didn't know that camping was also offered here. It's a little drive up to the main gate which there's a fee for entering. The person working the station was gracious enough to let us in as we just wanted to check it out. First off, it's a man made lake. You enter the park area with parking both to the left and right side. There's plenty of spots in both of the parking lot. We went to the right which from the looks of the park, it is well maintained. There's a small little playground on one end, a pool area in the middle and a pickleball court and a basketball court to the other end. That's would be the main park area. If you continue to drive down toward the front, there's campsites. Areas with a grill, a spot for your car as well as water and electricity. Depending on what you need, the fee will be added. You could just camp as if without the electricity. Also the sites are pretty much next to each other. We drove to the other side where there's more campsite which this one is more primitive style. Bring everything yourself. The other side was more of a dirt lot. Not sure what it would be utilize for. Lake area does look man made and well maintained. Looking down it looked as it was like an amphitheater with the steeps leading down. We did find out that you can fish but no swimming or boating allowed. There's a fee if you wanted to fish. Basically a fee for everything. Overall, it's a decent park tucked away. Camping available but not the roughing kind. Small park area but does have a pool. It was pretty quiet when we arrived as it was hot. Would we pay to come in after we've seen this place, probably not. But at least we know what to expect incase we do happen to be back again.

The lake was very low and the water was not accessible except in a few areas. No dogs allowed in the water. It's definitely not a beautiful place but might be fun for groups and kids. We hoped to possibly see some bighorn sheep but they have put up a fence so they can't get to the lake now.

I attended Palm Spring's 85th birthday and when I read it was at this park I envisioned grass, a play ground, plenty of parking and lots of booths, accessible restrooms, but when I arrived it was a confined little street/square and you had to find a restroom inside of one of the restaurants. Think of this as the downtown PARK(ing), as in the place you would park if you wanted to walk around downtown or go to the museum.

It's hot..." We're part timers and we actually enjoy the summer months both here and at our other vacation property in Bullhead City, AZ. We do the usual swim time and go out on the lake in a boat where we live. We also go to Boomers down the street for the twilight specials. So, for the most part, my kids keep active. But this past Sunday, after mass, we decided to have breakfast at Dennys. From where I was sitting in our booth, I saw the sign for Zebra World Indoor Playground. I mentioned it at the table and my 3 young boys got really excited. Actually, my wife and I did, too, as the casino was literally across the street and we thought we could drop the kids off and spend some quality mama and Dada time. Sadly, no. When I called, at least one parent has to accompany the children. Sigh! The Sunday price was $24.99/ child with unlimited in's and out's. SOCKS are REQUIRED for all who enter, including adults. However, if you forgot to bring some, they charge $3.95 per pair. We decided to go back home (10 minutes away) rather than spend the $16.00 for the 4 of us. The temperature is nice and cool inside and my boys really, really enjoyed this place. We spent the better part of 3 hours here, got some snacks and took some pics. There are two obstacle courses, an indoor slide, and trampolines. The snack bar is just that, but they do offer hot dogs, chips, and sodas if you're so inclined. I saw a young orthodox couple with their child and I believe some of their prepackaged Blue Bunny ice creams are kosher. Almost every kid and parent there were polite. I didn't witness any disruptive behavior, which is nice, but also speaks well of the Valley in general. They have different party packages and we might consider this place for my 6 year old when he turns 7 in December. My boys had a blast here, made some new friends, and can't wait to come back. We timed the visit with our departure back to LA and it was one of the quietest car rides back, as my 3 guys were fast asleep after burning so many calories. Sure, $75.00 for a few hours of play is steep, but for that quiet ride home where my wife and I could actually talk to each other and hold hands, was priceless...

They also have a small selection of arcade (extra coin required). It looks like a cheap uncomfortable chair. If you rock your head back and forth, it will start to spin (yay physics). This thing is awesome. It spins crazy fast, and doesn't require any pushing. They also have a stand up thing that uses the same concept (yay physics). If you get sick from any fair ride, you will not be able to handle this Godsend of play equipment. If you don't get sick easily, go have some spinning fun!!!
