I absolutely love this store and I always spend a fortune. The most recent time it came to over $700 and at a different location I spent $780 last month. The staff are wonderful and even though technically they aren't supposed to let my boyfriend into the change room with me they politely and discreetly look the other way so he could check out the goods on my body before agreeing to the purchases because everything they sell is completely flattering and the staff are very helpful with fittings. read more

I like VS for their body products mostly. They have a great selection of bath & shower gels, body scrubs, lotions, and creams. When it was only available in the US my late husband would always bring me a bunch of Love Spell. They also have a large selection of fragrances. They all have matching lotions, shower gel and purse size roller balls. At Xmas and other times of the year they offer gift sets. This store is similar to most others I have been in . The staff is friendly, but not over bearing. The location is right near the middle of Chinook mall. Each time I have been here, there was some type of promotion, or sale- but they rarely have proper signage to let people know. For example - they had signs up for a fragrance GWP, but nothing in the cosmetics section for the buy 2 get 2 free promo . I know that would increase sales !! Its ok. I have to say, all Victoria's Secret is very standard. Best part here is say you missed out on a deal and you will have a chance to pick it up here (if the deal expired say last month or couple weeks ago). Selection and size are plentiful. Overall, service is ok. It is in Chinook mall and so this location is quite busy. In terms of the product. I love their products. Good quality. read more

I don't know if it's just me, but I never have luck here and I have to drive to Chinook mall which is not high on my to do list. Thank goodness they are opening on in Market Mall this fall!!! I came here to find a swim suit and a workout top that I have been on the hunt for, for months now. All they had was black. And no swim suits left. So wasn't a good trip. They do have friendly staff and great customer service, just crappy selection if you're a smaller person. read more

Love Victoria's Secret, I've only ever been to the one in Edmonton before this and well this is larger than that one, staff is welcoming and friendly from my experiences. Only ever used the change rooms once and there always seems to be a line up for them and the time I did use them, there were still empty stalls while people were waiting to try stuff on.... I have noticed some of the bras do fit differently, for example the new show-stopper bra is a lot more stretchy around the band, but if you want to avoid the change rooms the staff is well in-formed and do know how things fit. Victoria's Secret has a Semi-Annual sale, well, semi-annually lol, to clear out all the old styles and make room for new stuff, so if your like me and love sales this is one you can't miss! I believe it happens in early Winter & Summer. Overall Victoria's Secret is great quality for the prices, and I love the variety of styles =) read more

After buying online from VS for years, I'm so glad we finally have one here in Calgary. Normally I shop at boutique stores to get quality undergarments, but any girl knows that to buy the matching knickers to your $150 bra, your going to pay more than they're worth. Usually they can be anywhere from $50+. So, I've usually always bought from VS because they can have some pretty awesome deals like 5 or 25 and 4 for 20, etc. Now we have a store and I went and bought an AMAZING strapless, along with some other items. Normally I dread strapless, in fact, I have a whole bunch of tops I haven't worn in at least a year because I don't want to wear a strapless. (I'm not exactly petite) So, I decided I didn't want to spend tons on a strapless from one of my usual boutique stores and instead went to VS, and I hadn't been there yet. The store is big, nicely decorated, and well organized. I found an awesome strapless, that I've been wearing since. When I got home and compared it to the main competitor's version (who happens to be owned by VS) I was amazed by the difference. The new VS one has two very strong elastic pieces inside to help support, while the other has merely a sticky ribbon along the sides, which isn't very effective for larger cup sizes. Although the quality isn't as nice as some French brands, they are still good, and you can get a matching set for quite a decent price. The service is really friendly, even during the Saturday rush, and they have a handy dandy doorbell tool so you don't have to walk through the fitting room to find someone. Simply press the button next to the door and someone will come along and help you out with the fitting or if you need other sizes. read more

I bought a gift card for my lady friend and we went to see what we could find. Unfortunately nothing was catching her eye this day but I must say that it's much more fun shopping here with the person that will be enjoying the product than going into the store alone and being the awkward/creepy guy lost in a sea of women's unmentionables. read more

This store gets 5 stars because it took a crappy customer service situation and, without any prompting from me, took the initiative to turn it around! When it comes to anything from underwear to pyjamas, I shop almost exclusively at Vic Secret - I know my sizes and the styles I like. So when a rep greets me and asks if I need anything, a simple acknowledgement and shake of the head is usually sufficient. However, the rep at this store couldn't seem to take the hint, no matter how many times I told her I was OK and didn't need any help. Finally it took ignoring her for her to leave but, at this point, I was annoyed. When I went into the fitting room, my annoyance mustve been obvious because that attendant asked if anything was wrong. When I told her about the first rep - nice, but hovering to the point of annoying - she apologized for the experience. Without my knowing it, she talked to her manager and by the time I was out of the fitting room, the fitting room rep and manager were both waiting to apologize and offer a small discount as a gesture of goodwill. Immediately, my mood changed because someone had taken the time to recognize a poor experience and did their best to turn it around - and they succeeded! Love VS!!! Thank you for bringing a store to Calgary! To be fair, it`s not cheap, probably not even very reasonable, but I don`t mind paying extra for a great bra, totally worth every penny. Be prepared, it is sometimes quite a wait in the line up, but you can look at other stuff while you`re waiting, or go with a girlfriend and shop together. I wish there was a loyalty program in Canada, for the amount you`ll likely spend, it would be nice to get some points or discounts. read more

Stopped in here today. HUGE store, alot bigger than most of the ones I have been in the US. Didn't have much time to browse but I will go back for sure when I can take my time. They had a huge selection of the usual bras and underwear, lingerie type stuff. And a whole bunch of beauty type products and some swimwear as well. There was also a section for workout clothes and beauty products. They also have a product like Spanx that I noticed and really want to try out. Yay! Finally its here. They have some of the comfy-est bras I have ever owned. And the cotton panties/thongs are my ultimate favorite. And there was one that is so padded it adds on two full sizes. Hmmm interesting, curious to try it.. Such pretty and fun girly stuff. read more

Well, trying to decide on 1 or 2 stars and finally settled on 2, just because I really do like the one bra I walked out of the store with. Here's some background; after losing 75 lbs and at my largest wore 44F, going to VS would be like a whole new experience since I haven't been able to shop anything but plus size in almost two decades. While a little aprehensive, I was also excited to be able to feel "normal" again. A couple of weeks ago I went into the store on a Saturday afternoon (yes, I am crazy to go to Chinook on a Saturday!) and actually received reasonably good service during the fitting process. My one specification for my innerwear is that there be no underwires because I sit at a desk all day and the dig into, what used to be rolls of fat but is now my rib cage. VS sales representative told me they have one non-sports bra that fits into this category and that "you don't want a sports bra for everyday wear". Actually, YES I do! So, I tried on a sports bra and the one normal wear bra. Both fit very well and I purchased the sports bra and really do love it. The normal wear bra was not available in my preferred colour. This is when the experience begins to go downhill because I had the audacity to request they give me a call when they have my size/colour in stock. The response was "No. We get shipments on Thursdays so you will just have to come back on Saturday morning as soon as the shipment is stocked to shelves." Wow! Kinda gobsmacked me but I thought, ok, this is customer service in 2014. Last Friday I phoned the store, I really didn't want to go to Chinook again for no reason, and asked if their order had come in and if the item I wanted was included. After being on hold for 5 minutes, the sales representative came back on the line and said it was in. Gleefully, I asked what time they closed (9:00 pm on Fridays) and told her I would be in before close and was told the item would be held under my name. Arriving at the store around 7:30 or 8:00 I went directly to the check-out desk and provided them with the card outlining size, style & colour and my name. Guess what? Yup, nothing was put away for me and after checking the showroom floor, they still didn't have the size and colour I wanted. I don't believe I will be going back...... read more

I really wasn't that impressed with the Chinook store. It was my first time going to Victoria's secret and I was pretty excited to get stuff for my wedding and honeymoon. I went in to the store twice yesterday, and spent some time walking around. Not once was I greeted, nor was I asked if I needed help. Also, I wasn't impressed with the selection of lingerie. There were tons of bras and panties, but lingerie like babydolls and teddys were minimal, which is what I wanted to get. I was pretty disappointed after seeing lots of great options on their website. I did buy two items. They're good, but I could get the same stuff at La Senza. It just wasn't the Victoria's Secret experience that I would thought it would be. Meh. read more

Horrible service. Sizes of things were all mixed up and drawers were over full making it very hard to find anything. Only one till open on a Friday afternoon. My wife and I wasted over 20 minutes in this store. One manager was walking around apparently trying to greet customers instead of helping ring people through. Horrible. read more

I have shopped at the Chinook Centre VS several times and my experience has been mixed ranging from horrible to mediocre. I LOVE the bras and that is the ONLY reason I have returned. My last experience there is the whole reason I am writing this review...I first went to the change room to ask a staff member where to find a particular bra. I had to wait for her to finish her totally social conversation with a friend. She then asked another staff member to show me where the bras were. I waited for her to lead the way, but instead she stopped and had a 3-4 minute conversation with another staff member while I just stood there. She then showed me a couple of bras, showed me that they were out of some others in my size and then sent me back to the change room. When I got back to the change room I asked if I could get a bra box so I could try on the bras that were not in stock, but would then know what fit best if I were to buy online. She rudely said "You already have all of the bras!" The problem was that she was not with us when we picked up the first few bras I was trying on and had no idea what was in my bag. Way to go Victoria Secret. Your customer service SUCKS!! In case someone important is reading this, I was shopping at around 3pm on Thursday December 22. I believe Annie was the rudest change room girl and a African American girl who was tall and thin with crazy hair was the one who was supposed to be helping me on the floor. read more
