Had such a lovely time celebrating my little sister's 10th birthday. The outside does not do the inside justice, I guess the term don't judge a book for its cover fits. But this place is surely charming and the service is excellent. We had the chicken salad croissant sandwiches and ham and cheese sandwiches too. They were good but I think the ambience is what really makes this a great place to have birthdays, baby showers, and any special event. Also a plus was they allowed us to bring fruit and veggie for snacks and they arranged them in cute platters as well we brought a cake and other treats. They also had hats to wear to get into the tea party mood! The only thing I might say is think about party games or entertainment for any gathering. We brought cards and board games to play. Great prices! Great atmosphere! The grape chicken salad is my favorite, but they are all very tasty. I'm very picky with tea and enjoyed theirs. We used Victoria's Tea Room for a bridal party and let me just say wonderful and attentive service!!! Everything was perfectly on point and our invited guest continuously said this was one of the best tea parties they've been to! We were even allowed to used their props! The chicken salad, with grapes and almonds, is the single best reason to come here. At least, it's the reason I come here. If they served nothing but those chicken salad sandwiches on huge fluffy croissants, I would still come here every time I found myself in Mission. Of course, they do other things well - it's nice to enjoy a spritzer, and to splurge on dessert (I'm told the cheesecake is outstanding!). But being drawn to savory rather than sweet foods, the chicken salad will get me every time. The only drawback to this place is that if you're a tea snob - meaning you turn your nose up at anything that comes in a bag - you'll not find a bountiful selection of loose leaf and specialty teas that you might expect here. I'm pretty particular about the varieties of tea that I drink (preferring the Asian green & whites to the European blacks & herbals), as well as their preparation, and nothing I've found here is at a level above what I'd consider a decent attention to tea. My little group ventured west today to Mission & were not disappointed at Victoria's Tea Room. Six of us today. The chicken salad ( 3 types ...regretfully all with nuts or jalapenos which left me out) were raved about by 3 ( 1 salad with cup of soup & 2 half croissants with cups of soup). One club sandwich that looked huge but again was happily devoured with fresh fruit on the side. One had the Trio plate with 3 little cups of salads. I had a bowl of homemade potato & bacon soup. But the rest of the menu all looked tempting. The service made sure our various teas were kept filled. I had the berry tea..yum & refreshing. Everyone appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. We were also asked if the music was too loud..which it wasn't. Just quietly playing in the background. We will return!! read more

This is a quaint little tea room perfect for a quiet lunch or dinner. Decorated with very vintage tea sets and antique furniture. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Upon entering we were greeted and informed about the menu items. The food was great, jalapeño chicken salad is the best if you like a bit of spicy. Good atmosphere, disappointing tea. I tried their hot tea and a slice of cake. A tea bag and a kettle of hot water were served with a cute cup. The cake slice was large but ordinary. I got pistachio and could taste a faint nutty flavor in each bite, but it was okay (not really good). Overall go for the aesthetic. Drink tea at home. Visiting from Houston and love checking out tea rooms. There aren't many in the valley but found this cute little place!! Love the decor and peaceful ambience. Good for studying or catching up with a friend or two! Also great for tea parties!! I'm so glad they are open on Saturdays!! Staff is quite professional and a bit stoic but not rude so that is good..!! Food was a bit overpriced in my opinion but I recommend going with a half sandwich half soup combination! I got the Victoria chicken salad on croissant with a cup of enchilada soup. Soup was delicious and had a bit of a spicy-ness! Sandwich is served with chips or maybe ask for fruit! The chicken salad was good, it had almonds and grapes! I think the menu needs a bit of work but I mainly went there for tea and a pastry~ the hot peach tea is served in a huge pot for up to four ppl! Was great because I drink a lot of hot teas!! The cold mixed fruit berry tea was amazing! Tasted like black currants! Very delicious orange Meringue cake, I loved the frosting! I brought my brother and male friend along with my sister to have a quick lunch and it was a nice experience! I didn't ask or find in menu but maybe the shop can look into afternoon/tea sets! The high tea was a scam. $45.00 per person for one 8 small sandwiches (which were so simple - cream cheese and cucumber - and chicken salad on top of a piece of French bread (which was good). The rest of the items on the food tray was mostly from Sam's or a similar place. Two small cheesecake bites, two frozen tiny eclairs, and four, again, still frozen, chocolate covered custard filled eclairs - all from a place like Sams. On the second tray there were two blueberry scones, which I believe were home made and good. Then around it chocolate covered strawberries - 4, that again, were bought from another retailer. I've had high tea in London and other places and NEVER paid this much and it was all home made and full of other items - for example you always get clotted cream with scones. The tea was good. Flowery green tea. However, the price was outrageous for the quantity and quality. I am still shocked. I am unemployed and took my sister there for her and my birthdays. So angry. AND, I was told on the phone by the owner that gratuity was included. NOOO we had to add 20% more for gratuity for very little service. The lunch food that other customers were receiving looked so much better than this over priced and under quality high tea. We left there $120.00 poorer. read more

Beautiful and quaint. The food is amazing and the service is extraordinary. The desserts are home made and delicious to the palate. My friends were pleased with the portion served. The rest of the plate is of no significance -- a few fruit slices to fill up space and an amount of counted chips. The cake was just okay; nothing to write home about.
