Had the lovely opportunity of coming here last friday for a BYOB painting party! First things first, I have NEVER painted anything in my life... less painted while sipping on my wine. The vibe this studio has is awesome, you feel welcome and at home from the second you walk in! The teacher (forgot his name! oops) was VERY nice, helpful, and patient. Went here for a fun evening with a few friends last night. There were five of us, and about 20 students total. I wasn't a huge fan of the painting that we were doing (I saw some cool ones that I liked more hanging up on the wall), but the entire process was so much fun that I've hung my painting up anyway! Jay, our instructor, was very nice and patient. Loved the BYOB part. My friends and I brought some snacks and plenty of wine. I will definitely be back to see what else I can paint! I've never been good at drawing or painting, but I didn't have to be! The one annoying thing that I will say is that it was nearly impossible to book our reservation. I called the studio no less than 4 times, left 2 voice messages, and never got a call back. I ended up just driving there and making the reservation in person when I was out running errands. WHAT A BLAST! My gf wanted to do something different... what better then a BYOB painting class!?! We had no idea what to expect... we have friends who have done classes at other places and enjoyed it, but this was more fun then we could of imagined. The class was great! Our instructor took her time and showed us step by step how to create everything. Blending colors, mixing shades, and even making a bike lol. Though we are far from being artist, the staff made us feel like Picasso with their continual encouragement. We didn't drink and still had a great time! Went here with friends for a Ladies Night and LOVED IT! Definitely pack a few beverages and snacks and bring a friend. This hidden gem is visible yet tucked away on Sunrise Blvd, just where the road splits to A1A. They offer One Night Projects on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7-9pm. Pre-registration is required. The night offers a pre-selected painting that can be completed in three hours. An instructor shows you the completed piece, then offers step-by-step instructions on how to create the piece yourself. For us, our painting was a typical still-life of a vase of flowers with sun pouring in from a background window. Definitely not my favorite subject as there were a bunch of options on the wall from other nights that I would have preferred, but as the class progressed, I appreciated the piece for the simple complexities hidden within. I came as part of an outing arranged by Mommycise Fitness Mommy's Night Out. Our group was placed at a common table so we could chitchat and share experiences. There were about 11 of us, plus another 12 additional other guests who had booked directly through the studio. We had such a good time, I grabbed a few schedules to plan another night! Can't wait to go back! And the painting? It's hanging in our kitchen! Turns out the colors accent our contemporary home perfectly! read more

Went there for a friend bday sip and paint this was my first time trying this and I must say we had such a good time. When we entered the building we were immediately greeted with a hug from the owner. She told us to get comfortable and enjoy the food and wine that we bought with us. We were provided all the supplies we needed to paint with and a smoak for our clothing. The instructor did a very good job while teaching us how to paint, I would never have thought that I could actually paint a picture let alone it look close to the original painting. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back probably for a Xmas photo. read more

I have been taking watercolor lessons from Elsa for three months while we winter in Pompano Beach. I was so lucky to find her studio. She is a wonderful and positive teacher in a no stress atmosphere. I cannot believe how much I have improved in this time period. It is remarkable. Bought a groupon at this place. I called to make an appointment, phone rang several times until I finally was able to leave a voicemail. I called again, and left another voicemail. I never received a call back or email from this place. Very unresponsive, I requested Groupon my money back as the groupon had expired, they advised that they had received multiple complaints this place was unresponsive to Groupon buyers. read more

I wish I could give this place five stars. My gf and I bought a groupon for the BYOB paint night the same day of the class. We thought it was going to be a large class so we called first to make a reservation. There was only four of us total in the class on a Saturday night. We met the owner briefly before the class and she was very nice. Our instructor, Kirk, was very outgoing and friendly. It took the instructor more then 15-20 minutes after the class was scheduled to start to pour out the paint colors for four of us, mostly because each of the paint bottles were clogged. I feel like this should have been done prior to us getting there, especially if there are only four registered students. The instructor was also messing around with finding the perfect songs to paint to over and over. This got frustrating quickly, I feel like a simple playlist made would resolve this problem. The next issue was, I guess to save a dollar or two, the instructor was painting on a piece of paper rather than a canvas. This made it almost impossible to figure out what he was doing as whatever he did, looked nothing like what we were doing. He was also rushing through the painting, probably finished his in 10 minutes, and the entire class was still on the first step. We could also not see what he was doing as he was blocking his painting while he painted. In a past class we took elsewhere, the instructor would paint something and then make sure the entire class is finished prior to moving onto the next step. This would be the proper way of teaching someone, especially when a lot of people are painting for the first time. We have taken a class similar to this one before elsewhere and we really enjoyed it, wish this experience was the same, especially since the place was walking distance away. read more

Found a Groupon for the BYOB 3 hour painting class for $25. I'm so glad I made the purchase because this was a fun experience. You're allowed to bring beer, wine, and snacks. They provide the canvas, paint, brushes, and apron. The guy directing us how to paint was really friendly and took him time showing us what to do. I can't wait to experience another BYOB. read more

I bought a Groupon for a BYOB painting class for me and my sister, and we absolutely loved it! We were so nervous because we were a few minutes late and neither of us had picked up a paint brush before. We got lucky because there were only two other people there, so we didn't feel as nervous, (the wine helped too!). Our instructor (Jay) was so nice and welcoming, and made us feel at home. Jay was super funny, and he let us use our imaginations instead of making us adhere to a specific style. We had the best time here, and we will definitely be back when I visit Florida again. read more

Purchased the BYOB class off Groupon, I was stuck between this and another BYOB class, this one was a couple bucks more than the other class so it wasn't a big deal. The only reason we went with this class was because my fiancé liked that the instructor was a Colombian lady, and apparently Colombians stick together lol. Very good decision on our behalf. We arrived 30 minutes late because of traffic, the girls were very kind and understanding, they let us come in and catch up with the rest of the class. The class was super packed (BTW there was ALL girls in the class, *hint hint* for those single guys looking for a good girl lol). There was still enough room to work, it wasn't a claustrophobic feeling. The instructors helped out a lot, anything you needed you only had to ask once. The BYOB didn't only have to be wine, you could bring whatever you wanted, just make sure it's enough to last you 3 hours. I most DEFINITELY recommend this class to ANYONE/EVERYONE! We will definitely be returning for another night! read more
