My daughter took me for Mother's day's. Had never been before and was looking forward to it. I didn't really know what to expect. We payed on line so check in was easy. They had two rooms going with different pictures. Very organized setup. Found our seats with everything already setup for us including paints and paintbrushes. The instructors were very friendly and helpful. It did go a little fast for me but when I needed help someone was always available. Oh man, we had a blast with Lu at Painting with a Twist. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and did dinner around the corner at The Greek Joint in Davie and then walked over to our painting class. So convenient. Never been here before but I've done Painting with a Twist or Pinot's Palette classes in Vegas when we lived there. Fun idea! Especially with a group of friends or with the family. My husband has taken our kids to this location before when I was out of town and they had a blast! Painting with a Twist is located in Lakeside Town Shops at the corner of University and Stirling Rd. In the same plaza as Target and next to The Greek Joint. We signed up for a 7pm class on a Friday night. The cost was $38/pp. Not bad. It was surprisingly not that busy with 5 girls in our group and 3 other guests. When we arrived, they guided us to our set up in the back. This location sells snacks, drinks and alcoholic drinks. However, they also allow you to BYOD! So we did. My girlfriend brought some rosé champs and cups. Love that they allow us to bring our own booze. We got aprons. Sat at our seats and waited patiently. Lu was our art teacher and he was pretty awesome! He started promptly at 7pm and introduced himself. He eventually went around the room and had everyone introduce themselves to the class too. Lu was very engaging during the entire 2 hours we were there. He made it fun and kept everyone laughing. He was great in guiding us to do step by step painting to keep up. It's easy when you they teach it to you this way. And he was super patient. Lol. The best part of the class was when we had to wait towards the end for our painting to dry before final shading of cliffs. We played fun trivia games where he split us into two teams, gave them 10 seconds each to list things like cheeses, Presidents, liquor, etc. We were all laughing so much. He kept score too. We won by 1 point at 28 vs 27 points. Lol. Then we had another fun challenge where he gave everyone a white plate and asked us to paint a portrait of the person sitting next to us. Oh man, that was hilarious once everyone turned in their paintings and we discussed accordingly. One of our friend won the painting contest and they let her pick a free painting from the PWAT wall. Cool. If you've never done one of these classes before, I would definitely recommend this location. Check their website for classes with different painting options and times. I didn't love my painting but mani had so much fun and it was totally worth it. Also, don't forget to tip your artist! They work hard!!! read more

Grab your Besties & Go! *sings let's go girls* Located in Davie in a target plaza. This studio has an area in the main entrance and a room they do classes in as well. Our teachers were Xoey & Flower, they were both really great. They kept the room alive and offered to help at anytime. You are supplied with a canvas, paint and good music. The class is 2 hours & you bring your own drinks & snacks. Some people even brought in a charcuterie tray with snacks which looked quite delicious. This was my first time attending something like this, I have always been horrible at painting and he made it easy and fun. fun paint night. great plaza area great staff very helpful step by step instructions the price is great. for a fun night out with friends or date night easy to sign up. they have easy hard or medium paintings . two rooms one private you can. bring your own drinks or snacks. or you can buy some. theres many restaurant around it and even a target. the inside of the place is. bit small. there wasn't a-lot of room if someone sits next to you basically bumping into there painting and the paint was hard to get too. i wish they also gave you many more paper towels to clean your brushes or a plate when you have to mix your paintings. but it was so much fun. i love that the paint is glow in the dark some of it. cant wait to paint more. read more

I've been to multiple Painting with a Twist locations and tonight was defintely different than the rest and unfortunately not in the best way. Our teacher was very nice but this was the first time I felt rushed. I understand that each class is set for 2 hours but it seemed that this teacher was more focused on playing games and music then the class which I was actually looking forward to. Our class was full with a wide range of ages and from the constant questions and "wait slow downs" I heard tonight I was not the only one feeling this way. Maybe he was hyped for a Saturday night but it's wasn't working with some of us in the class. By the end of it he was rushing to finish the drawing and then we had about 5 minutes to get out so they could prep for their next group which was frustrating. I love Painting with a Twist and this is the first time I've ever experience this at this location and ever. Maybe the staff can be more time aware cause I understand things have to dry but also we do not need a "shot" break every 30 seconds. I'll return to Painting with a Twist just maybe not this location for a while. 3 stars for tonight's experience. read more

Recently came here for a work event and it was a lot of fun! I have done a paint your own canvas type event before, but this was by far the most entertaining. Shoutout to the staff that was able to tackle the NSU crew! We were a large entertaining group ourselves, but the employees really made it a party! It really was a party, all be it at 3pm in the afternoon! The staff has a great play list and really gets the painters involved in not only the painting, but cracking jokes and playing mini contests in between painting and drying time. Our group ranged in skill level, from actual artists to I have never picked up a paint brush, but it all comes together in the end. No matter your skill level, you come away with a work of your own. You can take as much or as little directions from the staff as you need and they are there along the way to help you out. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to try something new or test your skills. You really will have fun either way! The key is to remember to separate the water cup and wine cup...don't go dipping your brush in your wine! read more

Birthday people get a painting as a gift. The crowd is definitely more lively than at some of the other locations. The staff experience across this one has been the most fun but all have consistent and great service from the front desk to the artist. It's also great how they tell you about their background. Terrible experience. The male instructor was overly controlling, stopping any creativity by constantly insisting things be done his way. He repeatedly targeted my partner, often taking her brush and putting it in water to signal she should stop. She was just trying to catch up!! His rude, condescending behavior was both unprofessional and disgusting. Instead of fostering a positive, creative environment, he seemed determined to tear others down. We are here to enjoy a lovely night together, not come to be someone punching bag. This was a truly horrible experience, and we will never be returning. read more

Well I came here this evening with some co-workers and if you could have too much fun I may have had it.
