The actual provider…read moreI've seen, Prenna Jackson, has been perfectly suitable and if she were not attached to the CEH practice I would happily recommend her to anyone. However, CEH as an enterprise is terrible. I will be the first review on this location, but I invite you to check other locations as well to see that across the board their businesses receive very poor reviews. Now, to my review: They are in-network for me but my insurance doesn't cover this aspect of mental health care, and so I pay out of pocket with a slight discount. I told this to at least two people on two different visits and it wasn't until the third visit I was told I could be on sliding scale payments and have my payment significantly reduced and I'd been overpaying. Listening to the ladies talk amongst themselves, most people seemed very unclear on when to use sliding scale payments/who would qualify, which is terrible given how much mental health care can cost and the added stress of covering it on one's own. So I asked for the paperwork to sign up for sliding scale. After a few weeks I asked for it again and received it. I did file it and was told I was approved for sliding scale but my bill was going to be the same?? (I am presently following up asking them for an explanation of all billing, I will update this review if relevant info comes to light.) I have seen Ms Jackson in two modes: Via telehealth for under 15 minutes, or in-person for under 15 minutes in visits which must include a urine test per the laws around my medication. When I was first in the office there was a paper taped to the wall near the front door indicating different fees for different types of visits, with shorter visits without medication changes being cheaper than longer visits, and yet I have been charged nearly 100 dollars every visit regardless of length or if it is in-person with urinalysis or remote. Further, before I opted-in for online invoices I would get a call sometimes fewer than 20 minutes before my appointment to pay my bill; typically I was at work and could not answer the call and nearly had two appointments cancelled due to not getting them paid for in time because when I called back people didn't answer the phone. Explaining why this is an issue, I requested to be called at least one day in advance if I were to pay via phone and they said they would do that, but did not. Instead they just did not call me at all and I called them to pay when it became clear they weren't going to call me. Ms. Jackson is an empathetic and kind provider and I feel she meets my needs, and it's unfortunate that I have to go through CEH to see her; if an alternative presents itself at any time I will be dropping CEH like a stone. Please, if you have any other options, go somewhere else that actually isn't going to *cause* mental health problems just to deal with.
