Meds needed obvious adjustments at about the time I learned the Dr. Samuels shows up late about 3/4 and not at all the other 1/4. A couple of times when I've had to completely reschedule after an hour's drive (staff gives no advance notice that he is not there or not going to be showing up) other times, I've seen the nurse practitioner which happens to be Dr. Samuel's wife. The times I've seen her, I was in strife and, trust when I say this, you could have a noose around your neck in front of her and she would say "let the medication do it's work" (this after 4-6 months of it!). Zero personality or positive affect from her. Avoid at all costs. Dr. Samuels is a fine choice if you are prepared to either wait or not have him show up. I've since changed practices because of those frustrations.

My initial visit was…read morescheduled for 90min in Oct or Nov (I can't remember) she had a emergency, a death in the family in which my appt had to be reschedule. No problem. Things happen and death is definitely something that can't be controlled. I completely understood. However, they could not schedule me for another whole month away. I already waited about a month for the 1st appt to have to wait another month again plus was out of meds that was needed. When I finally met with her, she seemed ok and some what understanding until we went over my meds list. I explained to her as well filled out the paperwork prior to the visit, all the meds that I have been on that worked for me in the past and did not work for me. I was not interested in trying all these different meds for my Anxiety. I was diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder also ADHD. Since I am not new to this (therapy or meds)I wanted to stick with what work for me. It's like she was NOT listening to what I was saying. Instead of prescribing what I asked her for (meds I was recently on and worked) she decided to give me something totally different and one of the meds I was on, she gave me a very low dose, stating she had to start me off low. I explained to her, that did not work for me, however a certain dosage did work. Again, she still would not prescribe that dose. Plus also told her the fact that I have been unable to focus, unable to organize etc. I requested to be put on Adderall since that is what my last therapist was going to start me on before I stopped going to them. She refused to put me on that also. She stated that would be too many controlled meds. Mind you, all these meds are meds I was already on except the Adderall. My anxiety/mood had been all over the place. Let's just say bringing in my New Year (2025) was horrible, a total disaster. Ended up breaking up with my boyfriend of 5yrs ( he kept begging for me to take my meds- well I had none to take because the doctor would not prescribe them)he kept saying you are off your meds. I could tell. My kids was saying the same things to me. I was like a ticking time bomb!! When I was taking my meds and the correct dosage, I was calm and under control. Not on them, I'm like the bride of chucky (lol). Lastly, I was so not focused and could not get focused or organized for anything. No matter how hard I tried. I am always on top of things, cleaning. Managing my finances very well, budgeting etc.. I complained to her of being off balanced, not focused etc. She refused to put me on something, plus I barely sleep. Well I ended up over drawing my bank account, not 1 day, several days. That is so not like me. I emailed her, texted begging her to help me. Help me get focused and back organized. Again she refused. I have more than 1 account. Each time I was over drawn I had to pull money from my other account to get me out the negative. Now $2700 later, I realized Nicole Thompson is not the therapist for me. I met with her today just to express these things to her. With tears in my eyes, I told her all I am saying right now, NOT ONE APOLOGY FROM HER! She just said she was not able to start off providing me with those meds. She had to start off the way she did. REALLY! I thought that was very very insensitive to say the least! I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE OR ADVISE ANYONE TO BE SEEN BY HER!! We deal with enough having these issues we deal with everyday, but to also have a DR who really could careless just makes things harder!! I hope everyone have a great 2025!

Unbelievably unprofessional, and dangerous business practices when dealing with such serious and…read morelife altering issues such as mental illness. I called the office on July 1 and explained that a family member needed a medication evaluation and to be prescribed medication for mental health issues. I was told that I needed a referral from an outside source. It took me three weeks, but finally I found someone who could do this and they faxed in their referral. When I called back, I was told that I could have done the referral myself and that my family member could have been helped weeks ago. I was asked many questions about medication needs, mental health issues, history, etc. I was told someone would get back to me. Then last evening I received a phone call telling me "We don't do medication, just therapy. You need to find somewhere else to go." The average wait time to be seen by a psychiatrist as a new patient is six to eight weeks. Your facility has been not listening and stringing me along for a month while my loved one suffers tremendously. It's shameful. It's absolutely unacceptable that your employees were so ill informed and inept that they let us wait for a month for services you don't even offer. Shame on you. Maria should be fired or retrained so that someone doesn't literally die waiting for you to get your business practices and customer service issues together.
