Julia in the office/scheduling is friendly and helpful. Chris the owner and Mike his co-worker are phenomenal! I actually had to cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstance and she was amazing in getting me rescheduled in a timely manner. Chris called me 1/2 hour prior to arrival and was on time. We walked through house as items were in different rooms and I wanted him to know what I had so he could access how he needed to load truck. My Dad passed away and I didn't have room/need for several items. They were sensitive to my situation and just made the downsizing easier for me. I had (2) large 70's dressers, a heavy wood dresser, bed frame, mattresses, recliner & TV console table, from the time they arrived, they were professional and methodical on getting to work and getting job done. At the start of our mammoth house-clearing project, I would never have imagined I'd be giving a "junk removal" company 5 stars and wishing I could add another, but this company deserves it. So I'm posting this wherever I can. Emptying a very, VERY cluttered family home filled with many happy memories but also literal tons of STUFF (and I mean literal), was incredibly daunting and emotionally draining. Then Chris came for his initial walk-thru to provide an estimate and so much of that stress fell away. From start to finish of the job, he was professional but empathetic, efficient and non-judgmental with such a calming and upbeat demeanor, it was like getting therapy at the same time. Amazing. The knowledge that Victory works with Habitat and other donation centers, plus metals recycling and other facilities, to keep items out of landfills, was hugely reassuring, both because of the sentiments attached to a lot of the items plus our concern about leaving such a big footprint. It was a deciding factor for us. The day of the haul-away, it was 95 degrees and 80+% humidity. Such a crap, crap, crappy day to move so much heavy furniture. Sooooo much furniture! And so many stairs. Yet, not one word of complaint from any of his team of four, just smiles. They were like well-oiled moving machines crossed with Wall-ee. They even broom-swept everywhere, wisking away the major levels of grime & mouse poop from areas that hadn't seen a vacuum in 50 years, a chore I'd been truly dreading. Excellent and pleasant service junk removal service, based out of East Brunswick NJ. The cost was actually lower than what had been estimated! Victory Junk Removal provides a quote in advance based on photos that you email to them. The quote is non-binding, as you can always add or delete items. in our case, the crew decided that the items for removal could be packed easily and tightly on the truck and take up less room. As a result, the actual cost was lower than the estimate. This is in contrast to horror stories we have read online about other junk removal services when the on-site cost was considerably higher than the prior estimate. The only minor hiccup was with the delivery time. We had asked for a 12-2pm window. At 1:15pm we got a very apologetic call that the crew was still in line at the recycling center from a prior pickup and would be late. They gave us a call at 2:15pm that they were coming over and were at our house at 2:30pm. We also received text reminders sent to us the day before and the morning of the pick-up. So while they came to our house a little later than planned their communications were excellent. No question that we would use Victory Junk Removal again. read more

I live in San Diego, but was selling my mother's house in NJ and needed to find someone to help clear out 40 years of stuff. Chris and Victory Junk Removal to the rescue! I looked into those "hunks" but since they became a franchise, they got expensive! Chris responded quickly, communicated with me regularly (since I was 3,500 miles away), and did it all for less than HALF of what the other guys wanted to charge. What I also liked is that Chris and Victory do everything they can to keep stuff out of landfills by donating to charities, thrift shops, and bringing items to recycling centers. I was doing a clean out on my sisters home before selling. Chris came by (owner), he took pictures of all the stuff i needed to get rid of and within 2 hours he gave me a great quote. His guys came by on time and kept me aware of where they were by text..I really liked that. Filled a truck full of mostly used furniture and junk from a shed.
