When we arrived at the shuttle bus pickup we called and were told the person was on their way and would be there in 5-10 minutes. We waited for 20-25 minutes before they arrived and when we got on the bus it was so full of cigarette smoke that it was like a fog. The guy didn't help us with our bags and just asked us if we were in the outside lot or in the ramp. He got us to our car, but never helped us off with our bags and sped off once we were off the shuttle. Honestly, the worst customer service that I've experienced with Shepherd parking. The ramps that go from floor to floor are a perfect fit for a golf cart and are the reason there is a giant scrape on the side of my dad's car that will cost a bajillion dollars to fix. There were a ton of scrapes on the side of the ramps from my fellow unfortunate parkers. I am giving this parking ramp 2 stars because of it's convenient location and when I parked here overnight on a Saturday, I didn't have to pay for parking at all because Sundays are freeeee! Whoop whoop. However, paying for parking is one of my two biggest pet peeves and every other day but Sunday parking is at a poopy price, so no thanks!

That being said, I think this park & ride is so accessible. Park for free during the day and get an express ride downtown with WiFi included -- amazing. The actual facility is great too, it's always clean, warm, and has WiFi available. There are bathrooms and plenty of seating is available while you wait for your next bus. The website lists that there are bike lockers and a security system with cameras too. Big win. I'm so happy I get to use this facility, it's so handy and in a great location for the western suburbs. There's a Cub not too far away, there's a gas station across the road, and plenty of other amenities nearby. If you've never tried a bus into the city, try it! And go to Station 73 to park your car if you don't have a bus station near you in the western suburbs!

I recommend that you go online and pay in advance. It's half the price and very easy to do so. The only issue I have was getting back to the car after our event when it was 11pm. The only entrance we found was through the hotel. But the security guard was very helpful and the hotel staff were also very helpful. Definitely come and park there.

They have a special lane to enter if you are going to the museum and a special rate (get validated inside). It seems clean, well marked and well lit. The elevators and stairs were clean. It was busy when I was here, so we went up quite a ways to find a spot. Spaces seem big enough to park and actually get out of your car (a novelty I know, but surprising how many places are not that way). Lots of other things to walk to from here too.

They changed the exit gates a few years ago from…read moreattendant-staffed booths to automated kiosks, but the new kiosks can't accept cash and instead you must pay with a credit card or use cash at a special kiosk on the skyway level. For event parking, they close off the Cedar Street entrance entirely and only allow entrance from the Wabasha St side, utilizing 2 attendants who must stand outside to accept cash from each car, and most of the time the 2 attendants are standing at one gate together rather than each standing at a separate gate. In the summer, don't even think about standing on the large grass lawn on the south side of the ramp, as one of the rude security guards will yell at you that you're trespassing and have to leave.

This is where I always Park when I come to the Mall of America which is probably the most spectacular mall in the world or at least in North America. It's on the west side of the mall and it's got Texas hanging down (like I do when I'm down in Texas), the sign is clearly there so you know which state the sexiest girl in the world lives in. You walk straight out of here and you're close to Victoria Secret and a lot of other stuff. It's actually a very well-designed Mall compared to a lot of them despite the fact that it's so huge - it's actually easier to find stuff in this Mall than it is in a lot of others so we appreciate that. I'll definitely use this parking deck in future.
