We stayed at one of the nearby hotels within walking distance of the mall, which made getting back and forth incredibly convenient. The mall itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. There is an enormous variety of stores, along with countless dining options ranging from quick snacks to full-service restaurants, so there's something for everyone. One of the biggest highlights is Nickelodeon Universe, the indoor amusement park located in the center of the mall. It's a fantastic attraction for families and adds a unique experience that sets the Mall of America apart from a typical shopping mall. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, or simply spend a fun day with the family, the Mall of America has more than enough to keep you entertained. It's well worth a visit if you're in the Minneapolis area.

They have many of the same stores on different levels, such as Lids, so if you miss it the first time, you can still go shop there at a different level without having to go all the way back to shop at the store. My favorite part is the Nickelodeon Universe. I did not expect an amusement park inside a mall! Such a cool concept. Lots of rides. It's very friendly for all ages. I also like the Crayola Experience. It was very unique. I didn't sign up to do a full on tour experience, but the gift shop is pretty neat where you can build your own crayon bucket and choose so many special shades of different colors. They also have two different mini golf courses here. There is so much to do here! The top floor has the most dining options. They even have a Rainforest Cafe here, which is a great option for kids. They have casual dining in the food court and full on serviced restaurants. With such variety, there is honestly something for everyone here!

Don't need to walk to the shuttle. They will come to you! On the way home: Let them know when you'll arrive online, we also called the parking/shuttle company once we were ready at the shuttle pick up at the airport (our flight was delayed by 2 hours so we adjusted the pick up time online and called when we arrived), they were there within 5 min. There may be multiple people on the shuttle. Great service, no complaints! *We leave the shuttle driver a little tip! The website is easy to read and explains everything thoroughly!

TJ Maxx is in a mall structure. Kohl's, across from TJ Maxx, is a part of the plaza style. It's different. There are quite a number of stores that I have yet to visit. I finally got around to visiting Starbucks. Traffic is one-way in that parking lot. Most folks don't care, though! I am still relatively new to this area. I would like to visit the Applebee's, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond the next time that I am shopping here. There is plenty of parking. I tend to park in the middle of the parking lot when I visit Kohl's and TJ Maxx. I just walk over without moving my car. I like this place. It has stores that I frequent and I tend to find good deals. I then treat myself to a drink at Starbucks and my day is completed. (7)

Outside of that is the largest collection of quarter slot rides that I know of. They accept card payment or lets your kids pretend and don't pay to turn them on at all. Then there's a train ride and rideable animals for a fee. In Scheels they have a beautiful aquarium, a fun shooting range for a small fee and a ferris wheel that's only $1 per rider. Then upstairs they have a nice food court with clean restrooms and a variety of food options. I wish all malls were like this.

5 Stars for Unexpected Wonders at Eden Prairie Center!…read more Eden Prairie Center gets 5 stars from me after an Easter photoshoot turned into a fun adventure. I wasn't even planning on going to the mall, but it was worth the trip. What really surprised me was Scheels. The size of it is impressive, but the fact they had a real aquarium and a Ferris wheel?! That's a whole other level! It's cool to see a store go above and beyond with entertainment and attractions. I also loved how the staff were very helpful pointing me in the right direction. I didn't shop at any of the other stores so I can't comment on those, but overall it was nice. It was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. If you need to get out of the house, stretch your legs and be surprised by a unique shopping experience, Eden Prairie Center is a must visit. Scheels alone is worth the trip! Win for a fun unexpected outing.
