Imagine driving 45 min to pick up an order. This after having to call because their website was broken and not allowing pickup orders. This was after originally posting for help on the discord. Finally you arrive but slip prior to coming in (to be clear not in front of this store) and find you are bleeding. Your partner asks if the have a first aid kit and what should be a simple yes/no answer turns into bumbling words which seems like a long way to not help. Some bumbling about maybe having a bandaid without any offer to give that. And then you're told "you can just go to the pharmacy down the street." Okay, you then go up and ask for the restroom, hoping to clean off the wound and use some tissue to stop bleeding. Same person "Oh, well- we don't have our restroom open right now." My response : "so you have no restroom open and no first aid kit so are completely unprepared for if someone gets hurt in your store?" The response: "Look dude what do you want me to say - we don't have stuff for cleaning wounds, our bathroom isn't prepared, we're busy blah blah blah" At this point, I become hyper aware I'm the only black person in the store. Does that factor in- I don't know. All I know is I was being treated awfully and the rare times that happens, I start searching for why in my mind. It's obvious at this point this person is just trying to shoo me off. Eventually, I blurt out "Fine, I have a pickup order. I just want my order. " "Oh, fine." And I say "I don't want help from you though, can I get help from someone else?" I then turn to a female employee because 1) I'm a woman and at this point are getting all the signs this person does not give a eff about actually providing any help to me. The female employee comes over and is smiling apparently ready to help and maybe diffuse the situation. The individual then goes "No, I'm the owner. And I'll just refund your owner" "I don't want a refund, I just drove 45 min to get here. I just don't want your help. You've started this off mean and awful." "I don't want your money. Look, just I'm giving your a refund. Is this your order?" He then shoves the three items I purchased at me and goes "I'll give your a refund." I protest - I don't want a refund. I'm not trying to get one over on the store. What I wanted was to be treated like a human being instead of an annoyance, especially when I am in pain and trying to stop bleeding. What I want is an apology or at the least, to be helped from someone else who won't brush me off both as a customer and person in need of help. What I walked away with is knowledge that the owner of the institution is a tactless person lacking of empathy and apparently the ability to have basic things prepared at his own store like a bathroom, first aid kit, or even a clean piece of tissue. Apparently, all my Cabbage Patch dolls and countless other toys came not from a big retailer- but this shop here. Back in the day- the owner would custom order toys and even offer layaway plans for my dad. See that horse and batmobile 25 cent ride out front? I have pictures of me as a kid on it! School supplies? We got them all here. Today- this toy store is as good as ever. They have a large bike repair section, school supplies, book bags, barbies, action figures, bikes, board games, video games and lots of other cool toys. And the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He knows his store well and is really helpful. And like I said before- this is a great stop for school supplies. They stock up on all the things a kid needs around the end of August. If you live in the area- this is definitely a place worth visiting.

If they don't have what you looking for they will order it for you and tell you the truth if they can get it or not, they will also tell let you know it may take some time for it to come in and once they get it they let you know I'm on there comic list for the new comics that come out every week so I know I'm going to get my comics I'm happy to support this small business and I recommend it to everyone that's looking for old games and new pops and comics

I feel the prices were very reasonable, even though I saw some comments about people saying the books are overpriced. No one bothered us when we spent quite a while looking through the various shelves and it felt like a very calm environment in a busy city. Left with a few books so the trip was a hit.

I brought in three statue items unopened in the original packaging. I checked on ebay for what the items sold for (not asking price but sold price) and it added up to about $600, I lugged the items over there and had to leave them there because they wouldn't get to them right away. The people/kids working there were very nice. I went to have lunch and got the text to return, and they are offering $150. So I picked up the items and turned down the offer. Again, they were very nice, it's just I wasn't willing to accept 25% of the value. I figured at worst it would be 50%. But I am better off getting closer to the actual price on ebay. Now, Buying. Lots of very expensive and exiting things to get, and I didn't have time to price check things so much, but my son is into the Nintendo switch and i spotted a used Marvel VS Capcom game he might like. It was $34.95. But just in case, I pulled up Amazon and looked the game up. A brand new one costs $21.79. So it would have been a terrible idea for me to buy it there. I guess if you are leaving work and need a quick gift, you might stop in and pay too much for an item. If you are in real trouble and don't have time to wait for an Ebay sale, you might consider selling your collectables for 25% the value, this place might come in handy.

After an early supper, was looking for a restroom (can be difficult to find clean public restrooms…read moreanywhere) when I noticed this shop was nearby Macy's. Decided to go check it out afterward. This shop recently opened and still have their grand opening. The lady at the register was nice enough to chitchat and explained some of her wares. It was cool that she offers many Japanese trading cards (original) but we were looking for the English edition cards (they had none). There was a section not for sale but for looks with signs stating to speak to the owners regarding sales of that side. Odd. There were many cute plushies, stickers, figurines, wall posters and other merchandises. Took my time looking at each part of the shop. The wall posters were all the way in the back. The shop is a long narrow space with lots of lighting. Very cool spots for my fellow anime lovers.

Toys 4 u is my favorite toy store…read more for a local toy store its really huge. it has 2 stories, with wide isles so you can shop without having to move every second for bypass. they got a huge huge selection of toys, and carry their own doll line with accessories. during the jewish holiday season of passover they are over loaded with shoppers, so if your looking for a nice shopping experience you gotta wait until after the holidays.
