My friend and I come once a week to look through their bulk Pokemon cards and we always find some good stuff. They're singles selection is also pretty good too! The vibe is the place is pretty nice and the people that shop and work there are always fun to talk to. The value of the cards go off TCG which is fair. Overall it's a nice place and there is a good diner next door to stop by and eat at too! I would recommend giving this place a look. read more

Preordered a couple boxes of double masters from them way before they were sold out. Got an email today saying I will be refunded and they aren't getting enough in for my order. I had even called them before ordering to make sure they weren't one of those companies doing a "preorder loan" I recommended my friends to buy from them as well after the exchange (one friend preorders a case from them). For those of you who don't know a preorder loan is where a company takes your money for a preorder holds onto it for a couple months then refunds it right before the product comes out. Basically an interest free loan at the expense of others. The worst part is now I will not receive the refund for 3-5 days and the price of the product has gone up and will likely continue too. Very unprofessional behavior which should be illegal. Anyone with these business ethics should be avoided at all costs. To make matters worse, in their email "apologizing " for the "mistake" they try to sell me the vip version of the product as a consolation. They will give me $10 off if I order 3 packs at $100 a pack lol. Even if they gave me $10 off a pack (which they are not) it would still be more expensive then eBay or tcg prices. Found this by chance, and I'm glad I did. I haven't been in a game store in many years, but lately I've been wanting to get a Wii or Xbox to use while working out. Something I can actually do, at home, instead of finding excuses not to go to the gym in the winter. I was nearby looking for a restaurant and saw this, so I popped in and explained what I wanted. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and explained my options (mainly confirming my research.) They set me up with a used system at a very reasonable price, including everything I need. I'll be back if I need more games, etc. They have some LPs, many games, movies, locally-made coasters with video game themes, and lots more. I'm happy to support a local place, especially when they're better than any chain to boot. read more

I like to visit this place as opposed to the other used game establishments in town. Every time I go into the store, I feel like I'm transported back to my youth, except now I can buy whatever I would like. The atmosphere isn't too stuffy. And there patrons are a mixed crowd. U can usually find some cool stuff in there, that you may not be able to find anywhere else. Did I mention that this place has the largest selection of Atari games in Ohio! They have great specials, and will let you try used games before you buy. I recently spent like 2 hours playing DS games to find the right handful to give as a present. Unlike Gamestop or other chain game stores not only is this locally owned and operated but they carry every kind of system that you can think of. Seriously, if you wanted to snag a Coleco Vision if they didn't have it here they'd find it for you. The staff here is great, they all are willing to bend over backwards to make you happy. What sort of store will let you try out the games before you buy them? And it doesn't stop there! They have hundreds of movies, including posters! They recently started carrying vinyl records as well. The best part is they buy your old stuff from you and give you sweet deals in trade! I was sure I had reviewed this video game store but evidently not. This place doesn't always have the newest titles on release day but almost always has the biggest ones on release day and at a better, discounted price than you will find anywhere else. And unlike most retail stores these guys in this shop really know their games and their game history. The owner of the store is super nice and I've spent many a few hours in the lazy days of summer just chit-chatting with him about the game industry. You can really tell he knows and loves video games. I always try to patronize this place when I can, I certainly think it's worlds better than going to Gamestop. As long as their product just HAPPENS to be not faulty, you're fine. The moment their faulty product breaks, or breaks something else you already own (I'm out a whole console as a result of ONE game), they SCREW you over. They tell you it's not their fault. They throw out all evidence that doesn't suit their OWN purpose, no matter how strong. They tell you they aren't going to refund, replace, or rectify the situation. "So what if our product doesn't work? We don't care! We already got your money!" They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty products, and you'd be MUCH better off shopping a place like Gamestop. Yes, it's a touch more expensive, but Gamestop takes responsibility for their products! read more

I think this is a great place. Sign up for a membership and you're set. Excellent prices on used games and very competitive pricing. Only downside for me is distance as I don't Live very close. He's got everything from NES through XBox 360. Plenty of accessories which I believe he tries to keep in stock. Big selection and he'll order stuff for you if he doesn't have it. read more

Over the years I've spent hundreds of dollars at VGMX if I've ever had a problem with something (rarely) the owner has been extremely helpful in getting it taken care of. If you're looking to spend your money at a place that really cares about video games and takes customer service seriously shop at VGMX. They've done special orders on games for me and even gotten in rare stuff that no one else has. As for used games they have much better deals than gamestop and give better credit.
