And that professional is Vladimir Perlovich. I never asked Vladimir to take my photo...but he's so great with his camera that he just saw something and asked me to stop what I was doing and look at his camera. I'm not a photogenic guy, but Vladimir somehow made me look about as good as possible with that photo. And if he can do that with me, I'm sure he could do something even better for you! All kidding aside, I've seen work he's done with both portrait photography and industrial photography and it's really stunning stuff. Beyond that, he's just a super professional, Harvard educated guy with both a stellar film and still photography resume. How many photographers are available for hire with his pedigree? Not many. We were so lucky that he and his assistant Ashley were available to shoot our Hawaii wedding just weeks before he moved from Oahu to the Bay Area. His work and artistry are amazing and the price is definitely reasonable for the quality of work we received! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to memorialize an event as it truly happens, emotions and all. My one regret is that we did not hire him for all of our wedding celebrations; we held multiple celebrations across 3 states and point by point he is definitely a cut above the rest! Because we are super type-A personalities, prior to choosing a videographer, my husband and I made a very specific list of things we were looking for and thankfully Jacob exceeded every single requirement! (Not all of our other vendors did, unfortunately.) Jacob's your guy if this is what you're looking for: (1) **Jacob cares about your film as if it was his own event.** (This turned out to be the most important thing for us and explains why Jacob excelled at the other qualities we were seeking! We had multiple wedding celebrations in 3 different states; at a separate location, we had a different videographer, who treated us as just another paycheck to collect and forgot to film certain people that we purposefully listed in our "look book" for him to film--the look book had headshots of family, the wedding party, and any VIP guests that were "must haves" in the video. Whereas Jacob painstakingly made sure he was available for every important moment and captured every single person at the event and made an extra effort to check in with us that he taped them all.) (2) **Jacob comes up with fun, creative ideas and suggests interesting camera angles and perspective.** (This goes along with the above point. Jacob thought about what he would want for his own wedding video and came up with super creative time lapse and speedup segments and interesting poses and ideas that at times felt silly at first, but turned out really great on film and contributed to some unforgettable moments--like the exchanging of letters that my husband and I did.) (3) **Jacob is definitely in the cinematic-style camp of videographers and created clear, visually interesting, movie-caliber videos for us.** (Our package included both a highlights reel and a longer 15 minute reel and a few special surprises that Jacob threw in just for fun. We loved all of it! All our family and friends were so surprised at how much the videos looked like they were produced in Hollywood.) (4) **Jacob is the master of sound.** (Jacob had the best sound quality of all the videographers we saw. Every single word and laugh and tear of joy came across crisp and clean. Even though it was pouring rain during some parts of the celebration and the music was blasting throughout the reception, it didn't compromise the sound.) (5) **Jacob is fantastic at capturing each individual's emotions on screen and the feelings of the moment.** (The joy and emotions on film are so vibrant! We truly feel like we are reliving it every time we watch the film. Our family and friends who weren't able to make the event even commented how they felt like they were actually there.) My company hired on Thomas of Video Impressions to film an awards event we hosted in Sunnyvale. Thomas definitely put those to rest by taking the time to get his best sense of the sequence of activity during the event. He showed up early and helped me with sound check, and his overall demeanor and enthusiasm made us all feel at ease. He shot primarily the speakers/presentation component of the event but also got lots of b roll of people coming into the event, the different conversations happening around the guest tables, etc. He captured everything I was looking for. We then requested Video Impressions produce a series of short videos from the event using the presentation slides (ppt) and other screen graphics. The videos came out very well. My husband needed to find a videographer stat on a Sunday afternoon to shoot some film at an LPGA…read moreevent in Menlo Park. While he was panicking on the phone trying to find someone who knew a videographer, I did a Yelp search and decided to call Bay Tiger. I explained our "emergency" to Ken when he answered the phone. He said he could probably help us so I handed the phone over to my husband. They quickly worked out the details and agreed on a budget, at which point Ken abandoned his Sunday workout, got in the car and made it to Menlo Park in time to shoot the film that was needed. He also did some quick turnaround editing-as in overnight. While I didn't interact with him beyond the initial phone contact, my husband said that he was extremely professional and very good at what he does. I was tremendously impressed that not only did he answer his phone on a Sunday, he was willing to turn his day upside down to accommodate our request.

We absolutely love our wedding video from Legacy Films! We had not planned to have a videographer,…read morebut one came with the wedding package for our venue and we debated seeing if we could get a discount to drop it from the package. But many of our friends had told us that a wedding video was a good idea because it helps you relive the day and see parts you would not be able to otherwise, and they were absolutely right! Mark did a wonderful job of capturing not just our ceremony, but some sweet moments during our pre-wedding photos, the cocktail hour, toasts and our first dances, and even a little bit of the open dancing before the end of his contracted time. The day passes by in a total blur of joy, so we are so glad to have this video which captures the beauty and joy of the day, and we get to see even more than we actually experienced. With COVID wedding pivoting compounding wedding expenses, we didn't say yes to some extra things Mark offered, but would encourage anyone in early planning stages to plan for the extra expenses of 1) videographer coverage of everything (our contracted time didn't cover our cake cutting and the open dancing, which seemed fine in theory ahead of time but now I wish I had footage of those things) 2) go for the assistant videographer! some of my favorite things about watching the video were all the things i wouldn't have been able to experience like what was happening while the guys were getting ready or seeing people connect at the cocktail hour. there could have been so much more of this if I'd said yes to an assistant for part of the time (and so appreciate Mark running around and working as hard as he did to give us what we did have!) 3) a highlight video. while i am so glad we have a full hour and twenty minute film of our special day, that's not what most family members will want to watch. so having a short highlight video to share with those who cannot come, especially these days, would have been a nice addition. I can of course only speak to Mark's work on our wedding video, but I would assume he would do an amazing job on any of the project types Legacy Films offers since he has a great eye and vision for storytelling.

From the very first questionnaire and zoom intro call to the closing presentation of the videos and photos, the entire process was so seamless. 5 stars all around.
