I found Vie Healing on Yelp a couple of years ago. Owner Mona is gentle and has a pleasant personality. The treatment room was clean and comfortable. After having a positive first impression and experience I purchased a series of ten Accupuncture sessions for $1000.00 at the end of my first session. I tried making follow-up appointments on her online appointment system only to be told by Mona that she never got them. She told me I should call her for appointments because the online system was not accurate. Mona was not good at returning calls so booking an appointment required a couple of calls before getting a response from her. For my fourth appointment I left a couple of messages and Mona did not return my calls at all. I ran into Mona about a month ago outside of her new WeHo location. While exchanging greetings and briefly chatting with Mona I reminded her of her failure to return my calls for my last attempt to make an appointment. She stated she'd not gotten my messages and suggested I come in for treatments at the new location. A couple weeks later I stopped by the WeHo location while in the area and although Mona was not in I asked the receptionist to make an appointment. After about ten minutes of failed attempts on the computer she said it was a new system and she'd have to check with Mona to confirm her schedule before booking an appointment. I said I'd call Mona and schedule. I called Mona a couple of times and left messages asking her to call me to schedule an appointment. True to form, Mona did not return my calls. I pre-paid $1000 for a series of ten treatments. In return I received three treatments. Mona's business practices are unprofessional, unethical and dishonest. A huge waste of money and energy. I've been looking for an acupuncturist for a few weeks now, found this place and am so happy. They are so friendly and accept insurance too. I already feel so much better since the couple treatments I've had. I highly recommend this place. Also, they referred me to one of their partners that does IV therapy treatments which I'm looking very forward to. When I was around 17 years old I began feeling the debilitating symptoms of sciatica. At this time I was working out intensely and believe that may have been the cause of this condition. However, I wanted to stay active, so I continued to deal with the sciatica pain after each workout. It got to the point that I couldn't sit in class or lay in bed without feeling the burning discomfort/pain of sciatica on the left side of my body radiating from my lower back down to my foot. This pain had continued up until this year at the age of 21. I had been to chiropractors and gone through months of physical therapy before deciding to finally try acupuncture. Like many other clients have stated in their reviews, Mona truly has a radiant, calm, and kind energy that makes you feel instantly relaxed. She answered all of my questions and explained everything she was doing and its purpose throughout the treatment. She is a true expert in her field. After about 40 minutes my treatment was complete and I was in absolute shock. I literally could not feel my sciatica pain at all. It was as if someone had performed some voodoo magic on me. I am telling you there was no more pain whatsoever. Since that first treatment I have been seeing Mona weekly and my sciatica pain has significantly decreased. Here and there I have discomfort but it is nowhere near the level it was before. Anytime I have a flare up it is gone by the end of my treatment with Mona. I can sit in class comfortably, fall asleep without tossing and turning, and even got back onto a regular workout plan without debilitating discomfort. I am so grateful I found Mona and took the leap to try acupuncture. I recommend her very highly and will continue to see her for treatments. I have been to medical doctors, nutritionists, and chinese healers who placed me on various medications and extremely strict diets, none of which were conducive to long-term, lifestyle changes. I'm a student at Beverly high school and I'm on the varsity basketball team. With my intense practices/workouts 6 days a week, I get all sorts of little aches all over my body. My mom wanted me to regularly get acupuncture but I was afraid of the needles. I recently hurt my wrist during a game really badly and ended up giving acupuncture a try. I was shopping in Beverly Hills when I came across this cute little boutique spa. I came in to take a look and ended up talking to the owner about the acupuncture and massages they do. I've never done acupuncture before and wanted to give it a try, especially because my allergies have been acting up. I gave her my insurance while I went to lunch and by the time I got back, they already checked my benefits, which covered most of my treatment. - Amazing! It was the craziest thing, within 5 minutes of having the needles inside me my nose started to clear up. By the time we were done I had a little rush of energy and I was pretty happy (like after a cup of coffee). I went into my first appointment with Mona as somewhat of a skeptic. However, as sciatica has been in ever increasing issue, I decided to try out acupuncture rather than going the traditional western medicine route of meds, meds, meds, and I am so happy I did! Okay, so I tend to Not like using the term "miracle worker", but in Mona's case, I make an exception. I came here due to severe pain in my neck and shoulder; what I thought was a pinched nerve. Mona explained to me that I had severe inflammation and that her treatment would break it up and get the blood flowing freely again. Well it certainly has! Each visit has helped and now just after my 3rd visit, my pain has decreased by at least 70% and I have a great deal of mobility back again. As someone who suffers endometriosis, I had given up on the possibility of any kinda of relief from my pain. Vie gave me the gift of having two periods with LITERALLY NO PAIN. Add to that, my periods suddenly felt like a GOOD thing rather than something to be afraid of. I discontinued her services mostly because I could not afford and it was a 2 hour round trip journey for me BUT let me say SHE IS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Eczema, all I can say is, aside from the irritation, annoyance and constant reminder that it's there the biggest issue was not being able to find results anywhere. Last week I had another outbreak of hives and I was done with all the meds and creams doctors suggested. I decided to try acupuncture and I was referred to vie healing by a close friend. After the appointment I felt as if someone poured a bucket of water on fire. My entire body relaxed and I haven't had a single bit of rash since. Dr. Dan gave some nutrition tips also.
