Stopped in on Saturday for lunch after shopping at the mall. Was a little difficult to find, because the location on yelp is a little off. Was promptly seated and didn't have to wait long to get my order in or receive my food. Now I was in early so I could see how it could get busy as service picks up because seating can be a little limited. The restaurant was clean and decorated well enough. The location doesn't do it many favors but the food is good so I'll likely come back. I requested the New Delhi-Style Noodles because I enjoy yellow curry dishes and was needless to say I was impressed. The vermicelli noodles were great dipped into the accompanying fish sauce with curried chicken bites in between. The portion was solid for lunch and I didn't feel like I needed more to get me through until dinner. Only gripe is maybe the price is a little high for anything other than chicken but that's life right now. I'll likely stop back in to try a few more dishes when I'm back in the area. read more

Tried Vietopia (carryout), and overall...we left a little confused. The wings were honestly the highlight--really, really good. Didn't get much "lemon pepper," but still super flavorful. Potstickers were just okay. The dipping sauce didn't do them any favors--this felt like an easy upgrade they're missing. Imperial Egg Rolls were the biggest letdown. At $17 for three, I expected something memorable...they just weren't. Pad Thai landed squarely in "average." Grilled Honey Roast Chicken Egg Noodles was a mixed bag. The chicken itself was delicious, but the noodles were pretty bland--and oddly, they didn't really work together. Royal Fried Rice was a win. The combo of BBQ pork, sweet sausage, and shrimp came together really well. Seafood Noodle dish was unfortunately pretty bland. All in all, a few bright spots, but not a place we're rushing back to--though I'd reorder those wings without hesitation. read more

If you are looking for a unique experience to try a different style of vegetarian pho with tofu then Vietopia of E. P. true near Jordan Creek is the place. The entrees are well portioned. My favorite style of Pho is Soft meats. The tenderloin is too chewy but flavorful. The soft poached egg and the fresh veggies are phenomenal. The service is great with the wait staff being very attentive. However they were out of Mocktail offerings which is not good when more gatherings are opting for non alcoholic flavors. Nice cozy meal spot. Ordered the Baked Crab Casserole Cream Cheese (basically crab rangoons in a chips and dip form), which was fantastic. Also ordered the Wagyu PHO Noodles Soup. Very good rendition of pho for pho lovers. I like my pho as spicy as possible, so I added all of the additional toppings and sauces they provide on the side into mine, but if you don't like spicy just add less to customize to your preferred spice level. I ended up get seafood stir fried rice noodles. I opted to get them crispy. I've never had rice noodles crispy (only egg) so I was super curious. I waited inside and the employees were super nice. I got my food and was on my way. The spring rolls came with a peanut sauce that they layered with crispy onions. Yum! The seafood stir fry was a big portion with lots of seafood! The sauce was tasty and the rice noodles crispy was very good. I liked having the crisp texture with the stir fry stuff since that's softer. Estoy muy satisfecha! I'm very satisfied! We stopped at West Des Moine before heading back to Texas and came across this Asian Fusion Restaurant. I'll start by saying that the service was phenomenal! We were attended to on a very personal level. The owner/manager was very friendly and informative. We went with the calamari fritte. While it was heavily breaded, it still tasted good. Our main entrees consisted of the Vietopia Asian Fusion which I HIGHLY recommend and the Hong Kong Garlic Noodles which was also phenomenal. This is a cute restaurant in a new strip. This place too me by surprise. I'm new to DSM. I was gonna get fresh rolls from Cool Basil but my husband was wanting pho and I was like "Oh this place is saved on my list. It has both!" So off we went and boy am I glad we went haha Fresh rolls: got my pregnancy cravings satisfied. Peanut sauce hit just right Pho: great bowl of pho! Omgosh the owner is super friendly. Super cute layout inside!!! I could not take my eyes off the bling gold initial sign in the entryway (fancy) I love the expensive look with casual prices. My daughter loves the crab casserole here. Listen you have to try this place because this is the cutest little hidden gem in WDM!!! Great food. They have kind of a deconstructed Pho here on their house specials, it is so good. Just the Pho meats and veggies that you can put over rice. My wife had the Pho and the broth was absolutely delectable. Service was great. Not very busy so I hope people discover this place and keep it around. About time DSM Metro opened up a place like this! Love the upscale ambiance but not too much where you would feel out of place if you walked in with shorts and a t-shirt like my husband did. Aesthetically pleasing with smooth jazz playing in the background. The workers were all amazing. They were polite and courteous and very helpful. We came in on opening day, so they were still working out some kinks on the menu but we thought everything flowed well. Food: Shaken Beef with Garlic Noodles: 5/5 stars, highly recommend. They make it right and the beef is so tender and flavorful Calamari Appetizer: 5/5 Breading was delicious and honestly the flavor of the breading was so good that we didn't even need the dipping sauce. The word needs to get out about this quiet gem in the new frontage row buildings outside of the Jordan Creek Mall. I had the Egg Roll with BBQ Pork and it was fantastic! We stopped by for dinner on a Thursday night and we were immediately greeted and seated. My boyfriend is allergic to seafood and most Vietnamese dishes include fish sauce. We wanted to try the pho traditional, the shaken noodles and the dumplings. Thankfully those dishes did not have fish sauce so my boyfriend was able to eat all of them. They were all delicious. The pho broth tasted very homemade and natural. It was very comforting. I made sure to only eat half so I could take home the other half and savor that broth some more. I've tried to make home made pho broth myself so I know it takes hours and hours to make. The shaken noodles tasted really good too. It had some good wok flavor. My daughter found this place online as we were driving from Omaha to St. Paul. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is lovely and comfortable - perfect for being casual while still looking somewhat upscale. We were there about 3pm so it was fairly slow - the staff was attentive and friendly - we found out he was actually one of the owners. The food was very good - fresh vegetables, full of flavor and beautifully presented; we had the New Delhi-Style Noodles and the Chicken Pad Thai. We also had 2 mocktails which were very good - especially the Pomegranate Mojito one. Hopefully some day we can come back - we live near St. Paul so it's a bit of a drive, but if we are ever near Des Moines again we will make a point of stopping! read more

At 5pm on a Friday this small but elegant interior restaurant was oddly quiet. the music was charming and the server greeting myself and my two nieces warmly. We were seated immediately and present menus. The nieces had beef and shrimp pho and I had the Chicken with Butter Noodles it came with a delicious dark leafy greens and a wonderful light broth soup as a side to the noodles and chicken. I absolutely devoured that dish as the chicken was absolutely crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside with the fat dripping from the slices. I grew up with Vietnamese classmates and never had chicken this perfect in decades! The server was incredibly attentive that he overheard me say that the side of soup was a bit plain that he promptly gave me soy sauce to add depth to the flavor. He constantly was refilling our water too and got the littlest niece her requested soda promptly. Taste, service, and ambiance was on point.
