Viewmont Mall is one of the biggest malls to find in northeastern Pennsylvania regions, with it easy to access just off I-81. There is plenty of parking with a decent amount of space to move around, and easy to locate the entrances. The mall itself is pretty big, with decent selections of stores to choose from. Most of the stores found are your typical retail stores, as JCPenney is still open and running. I was a bit surprised to see FYE still in operation, which didn't have a big sign indicating it was closing. In the mall's condition, it is nowhere close to becoming a dead mall anytime soon. The only thing I found a bit of a surprise is, that the food court is tiny not providing a lot of services. That also includes limited tables which is another spark. Who knows if it downsized over time or not. The only store that's connected, but isn't accessible to the mall hallway is Home Goods. With that, Viewmont has it all. read more

This mall still has an Orange Julius, which honestly makes it superior (Hence the four star minimum). What's the point of going to the mall if you can't get the drink of the Gods? It's one of the better local malls in the area. Though, their food court leaves much to be desired. The bathrooms were...not the best in cleanliness when I visited. Their Forever 21 was really nice, though. I also like the teeny tiny corner Claire's. read more

Viewmont Mall is one of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's three malls, and the one in the best shape store wise. The mall is easy to find, off of I-81 and the Scranton Carbondale Highway, but traffic is almost always heavy in the area. Viewmont has most of the popular national chain stores, along with anchors Macy's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods/Field & Stream. HomeGoods has an external entrance and Books-A-Million has a standalone building on the other side of Macy's. Additional expansion space exists on the backside of the Sporting Goods/Field & Stream for two more stores. What problems does this mall have? Viewmont Mall is bland and easily forgettable compared to Wyoming Valley Mall or Lehigh Valley Mall. It's one long hallway essentially, making it feel smaller than it actually is. JCPenney takes up too much of the malls center court. The food court barely qualifies as one. Only two restaurants remain open along with an enclosed Buffalo Wild Wings. The area around the mall has many other, better options. Overall, Viewmont Mall is the best mall in Northeast/Central PA. It's just not the most interesting mall you'll ever visit. read more

A lot of different stores and kiosks. There are always good sales happening and a good variety of items. Dick's Sporting Goods has improved as it recently put in a wall to climb (rock climbing wall). The pizza in the food court is the best by far! read more

It's honestly the only nice mall within 100 miles or so. It's better than Binghamton, Steamtown, Wilkes-Barre, and Ithaca. It's actually full of stores that are thriving. There is good food choices and entertainment as well. It's pretty much the way that malls used to be before Amazon and Covid. The entire Dickson City area is great for shopping and eating. If you can't find what you need here, then you're gonna have to order it online or drive all the way to Philly or Syracuse. read more

This mall is huge, especially for being one floor. Alot of the major stores are here such as Macy's, JCPenney's, and Forever 21 to name a few. The mall is clean and orderly. read more

We lived in the area for several years and usually try to come to viewmont when we come back to town. It's a small mall, but has most stores you would want to check out from adults to kids and everything else. If you need a few things or just want to shop this mall is your place. read more

Aeropastle employees are rude and overbearing, particularly one middle aged woman with brown hair and glasses (didn't have a name tag on) that i'm assuming is a manager. she's condescending to customers, snarky and accuses people in her store of stealing when they're merely looking at the stores merchandise. wouldn't recommend going into the store when she's there as she makes the entire experience miserable and will 9 out of 10 times be horrible to you for no reason. tried to look up a way to report her attitude to a customer service system or on the aero website but to no avail. besides that store, mall is great! read more

I've been going to this mall since I was a kid. At one point it seemed like it was going downhill because a lot of the stores closed. But within the last couple years, it has grown a lot. A lot of the stores that were at the Steamtown mall are here now. I still really enjoy coming here in shopping. read more

Viewmont Mall just like all other malls, one floor malls with a huge exception nobody is stepping on your toes, nobody is rushing you and you don't have to jump to the side when baby carriage is about to run you over. Bathrooom is spotless and floors are shining everywhere. You can find a nice looking hair salon, as well as Verizon store and a cute places to eat. The atmosphere here is different then any mall I have ever been at. People are so calm and strolling from store to store like they visiting museum. Highly recommend to visit if you are planning to go shopping for basic clothes even Victoria Secret, Forever 21 or Aeropostale. But if you r looking for something designed it's a wrong place to visit. read more

Compared to Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem this mall has an s, which makes it a small. It is the best one in this area though. Watch out for the beautiful ladies trying to buff your nails, they rope you and and don't let go till you drop some cash;) Man my nails look good, hahah, j/k. read more

Recently stopped at this Mall on my way to Philadelphia from Rochester. It was nice to see a mall without a bunch of empty store fronts. All the main stores are here, which was great, the food court had plenty of options, and there's an Applebee's on one end. We were able to do a little shopping, grab some lunch and be on our way in no time. Oh, also it was clean, well lit, the people were nice, and overall it just had a nice vibe to it, wish we had one like this here in Rochester. If in the area again, will definitely stop. read more

It appears to be a nice mall but very empty when we were there in the late morning. The mall is small but has most of the usual mall stores. All appear clean and tidy. It would be a good place to go for shopping. read more

This mall is ok, not too big, and since I'm not a fan of tween stores like aerie I won't be back, however the employee at sunglass hut was an absolute gem, very patient and kind. And since I came to viewmont mall just to find a nice pair of shades I'm quite pleased with the selection I made. Had a nice experience all in all. read more

I usually stop by Viewmont Mall when visiting the Scranton area. The mall is huge and well maintained. It has a good variety of stores to fulfill your shopping needs. The Macys is huge at this mall. The food court has a good selection of restaurants. The atmosphere is usually laid back. Viewmont Mall is a good choice for shopping in the Scranton area. It's a mall. Nothing special. Kind of blah. Food court was small and had 3 vendors. Johnny Rockets moved out and now the food court is a ghost town. Stores are average, same stores every mall has. I guess it's ok if you are an elderly mall walker. read more

I stopped in at this mall to see how it was. It was 10am and the mall was empty. It's different when you are from NY. 10am everything is already packed. We walked around a bit. I can tell you I loved the Christmas display. It was beautiful. I did see santa Claus who was there taking pictures with the children. I think they should have move stores and sales it would bring more people to the mall. read more

ok, so it's not the world's greatest mall but it will do for the area. it is better then going into Scraton to the Steamtown mall, which is half empty. i feel bad that they are forcing out the Pizza place that has been in the food court for years for some pub. maybe i am partial to this mall because i bought my wife's wedding rings here. it nice and quiet and it has what you need. read more

The mall is ok. It is clean, but the store selection is subpar. It is the best mall in the area, but that isn't saying much. It is fine to do some quick shopping and get some stuff, but I usually tend to take a day to drive to Philadelphia or New York City to do my shopping. read more

It was a strange time. Since then, retailers have learned what works in a brick and mortar and what doesn't on. Most shopping centers bounced back, even if it was often with different types of shops. I'm really not sure what is going on here. The food court only had a few options open and so many empty booths. The mall itself was just dead and most of the people I saw coming and going were patrons of the crunch fitness. I thought perhaps it could have been the time of day that I visited, but it was incredibly busy outside, so I doubt it. Being a historic landmark, I really hope they figure out how to reconfigure this mall and increase business soon.

This makes the property attractive for redevelopment. What will happen to the mall? Demolition. Walmart would be an obvious option for a redevelopment, as the Williamsport area lacks a Walmart Supercenter and the current store in Montoursville has no room for expansion. Some portion of the mall and Burlington could remain depending on how creative future ownership can be. I can remember when this was one of the good malls that would be a special trip to shop at. Sadly, those days are over, like the Lycoming Mall.

It is hard to comprehend the juxtaposition of decay and scrappy mom-and-pop stores with the few remaining national and international retailers who maintain slick storefronts in the building despite all odds. Go for the pinball. Stay for the weirdness. Eat elsewhere. And be careful of the potholes. I do hope Wyoming Valley mall is able to pull itself out of its death spiral. Little is sadder to a kid from the 80s than a dead mall. But of course we also know that nothing lives forever. For that matter, who wants to live forever?

Great mall in the Scranton area. I've been coming to this mall for years, and the improvements they've made on the mall have been top notch. The facilities are always clean, and they always seem to be adding new stores once one store leaves - which is nice, because it never seems like the mall is vacant! I especially like the addition they've made to the new Field and Stream and Homegoods section. The mall also holds holiday events and often has different fairs/exhibits going on from time to time. All the stores are usually quite clean, the food court has multiple options to eat, and the parking is always a breeze. If anything, I would simply like more stores and also for the mall to stay open a few hours later if possible. However, the mall does have extended hours during the holiday shopping - which is great for people who have tight work schedules. Overall, this is the best mall in the NEPA area - I would choose this mall over others including the Steamtown and Wilkes Barre mall! read more

Stopped in on our way through PA. We almost missed it as it is up a small hill. Plenty of parking…read morein front. I would not call this shop a "mall" but it did appear to have different vendor areas. The owner was on-site and had parked her red Cadillac in front of the main door making it difficult to get inside. Once inside, there were nice furnishings, glassware, jewelry in cases, houseware, etc. something for everyone. We did see a cat sleeping in one of the chairs, and later saw the cat's food and water bowls. If you are allergic to cats and/or the smell of cat waste, this is not the place for you. My husband saw a set of cocktail glasses and a decanter he liked but the sticker was not clear on whether they were a set. The owner was busy making loud personal calls and not available not answer his question. She later walked through the store and announced to everyone she had to close early because of a doctor's appt (but we heard her ordering a pizza???). We would not return.

And the further left is for ladies, and sports attire. Be ready to spend a lot of time looking through the items. I rate it 8/10. Today was my first going to rumor it and I was a little weary at first but after taking time to search, I started to see some things I found unique and very pretty. Parking was very easy, quiet area. Clean and easy to find. Beware there's only 1 fitting room I saw in the lady's section(there's probably another in the men's section, I'm not sure). The have 50% off on some tags and 20% off on others. Enjoy it while it last! I think it's for Memorial Day.

I remember when she had her first shop, and I was so sad that she moved the tiny perfect boutique where I got my obsession for Little Twin Stars (Hello Kitty's buddies). I was absolutely certain it was the only cool place in town, ever. I was an authority on such things. I was 11? 12? "Pray you, love, remember." I remember going into her new spacious wood-lined shop and feeling that Wallflower had litterally grown with me. Over the years, my mom managed to quietly foist elegant clothing on me, no matter what phase I was in. Punk? Grunge? Skate Chick? GlitterGlam? AnimeJapanpop? Gypsy Queen? Somehow I never minded if it came from Wallflower.. more than that, those seem to be the pieces I've carried with me for years.. "And there is pansies, that's for thoughts," Me, I think that Wallflower is the quiet queen of boho chic "There's fennel for you, and columbines. The receipt clearly stated exchange with receipt within ten days. I had the skirt for less than five days and it was clearly not worn WITH TAGS ATTACHED. Anyways, it's more miss than hit in this shop.
