However, the recent turnover of this practice to WellMed has been a disaster for patients. Communication has gone to hell in a handbasket, and as of the end of the year, they no longer accept many insurance companies, a fact that they did not communicate to patients. This lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable! I sincerely hope that Lindsey finds a new home to practice, and that I can continue to benefit from her skills and experience, but I will certainly be looking for a new general practitioner in the meantime. It is imperative that the town of Elgin ensures that they focus on locating health care providers to service the rapid growth of the town. Failure to have adequate medical care in the town will be a killer to future growth.

After a few months away (but still paying), I booked a facial and was shocked when it ended after just 15 minutes. No one told me the service had changed. When I asked, the manager blamed me for not reading an email and called it a "teachable moment"--for me. I come here for self-care, not to be talked to like a child. He said the doctor's "losing money" on memberships and tried to upsell me to $179/month. Instead of honoring what I paid for, he wanted to charge me more. I wonder if he understands how expensive it takes to get one paying customer? Now you're losing two and probably others will read this post.. This wasn't about the aesthetician--she was great. This was about a manager who chose to argue, deflect, squat in my treatment room and lecture instead of making it right. I paid for a membership. What I got was a downgraded service, a lecture, and an upsell. That's not wellness; that's bad business. Do better. Way better.

Im not a Karen, I do not ask for managers, I over tip wait people, I understand the service industry. HOWEVER, no woman should have to go through this........ I made an appointment to discuss injections, fillers, botox, and that I wanted a "refreshed look" around my eyes. She brought up the topic of a "temple fill", and threw a number of 650 for the procedure, on top of the 27 units she was going to inject around my eyes and forehead. (I have more to say on what product was used and the inflated prices on that, I may come back to this point) After the fact, I researched temple fills, and how EXTREMELY DANGEROUS they are. Many injectors REFUSE to do that, it should be done by a plastic surgeon, and certainly not by someone with less than 2 years experience. I COULD HAVE BEEN BLINDED. Not to mention, the 650 price tag was PER TEMPLE. That was not clearly stated prior to the procedure. To continue, on of the injections did not settle well in my right eye. I have a droopy eye that I am told will take about 6 weeks to work itself out, and was told "mistakes happen". The droopy eye lowered my eyebrow, which made my left eyebrow look like it was floating up my forehead.... I looked like Denise Richards making her snarky face. This WAS corrected during a follow up, however, when I stated I wanted OUT of the membership, I was called out in the reception area, with clients and employees present, and was told I have to pay back the discounts extended to me tied into the membership. I was overcharged on fillers. I was NOT told the total cost of the temple procedure prior to it being done. Again, this was a very dangerous procedure, that shoud have never been done. I was told "mistakes happen" and "sorry about the droopy eye" I was clearly upset when leaving my follow up, and was told "hey, yeah, well, about that, I have to charge you.." The one star is for the sympatheic look I recevied from 2 of the employees. The did not tap dance around my disapointment. NOT ENOUGH EXPERIENCE IN INJECTING MORE CONCERNED WITH SELLING MEMBERSHIPS AND UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES NOT TRANSPARENT WHEN QUOTING PRICES I PAID A SMALL FORTUNE TO THEN BE TOLD "MISTAKES HAPPEN" I REGRET EVERY MINUTE OF THIS EXPERIENCE NO WOMAN SHOULD HAVE TO WALK AROUND TOWN WITH A LOPSIDED FACE

My first point of contact was Angela and she was a wealth of knowledge, empathy and laughs. I really appreciated having a 20 minute conversation that helped put me at ease as all of this is new to me. Angela also provided me with emails that thoroughly explained all that they offer as well as the cost. I love that they only take 7-8 clients a day as to keep the integrity of each visit. Your appointments are broken up into two sessions where the first consists of a meeting with Dr. Edgerton or his NP Denise. During this visit, they go over your concerns, medical history and any and all questions that you may have. You are then provided a request for labs which consists of a complete and total panel. During your second visit, they go over your labs and from there you discuss your options for treatment. While you may find another clinic in Austin, I can promise you that you will not receive the same level of care and treatment. A word of advice, read the reviews first! There is a reason this clinic has 5 stars on Yelp and Google.

The good old days when WC didn't just try to give you Drugs to dull the pain from one of the WC Doctors. Dr Stiegler referred me to a great PT, and got me back to full use of my back without severe pain. I managed to work for another 15 years until retirement age, My back is manageable today. As good as it could be with a degenerative disc. No surgeries even today. I thank God I had a excellent caring Doctor, and it happened before WC got screwed up by the State. I had to move my Mom down to Austin in the 1990's and Doctor Stiegler was her Doctor for 20 years until she passed at 100 years old. Dr. Stiegler cared for her wonderfully. Helping her with referrals to great Doctors when needed.
