I highly recommend them for both recreational classes as well as upper level JO track rhythmic training. They take care to encourage athletes to care for their well being with opportunities for access to in-house occupational and physical therapy, classes with USAG national team staff and coaches, and they facilitate incredible experiences with world class and Olympic athletes to work on routines and skills.

We have been here twice in the last week (during pandemic times)…read more Pros: - Separate Big Kid and Toddler Play Areas/Structures - Easy parking - 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, play area, baseball diamond, and big grass area Cons: - Often unsupervised children running amuck, while their Canada Goose-wearing entitled Moms are sitting on a bench gossiping about their lives and not paying attention at all to what their children are doing - Big Kids are often running rampant (especially true during the weekend) in the Little Kids/Toddler Play Areas If you have very little ones (toddlers, like I do), I'd recommend going during the week and not the weekend. The Big Kids who are unruly, entitled, and rude as hell will push the little ones around or rush and run around so quickly that they knock over the toddlers like bowling pins. Their parents will see and witness this going down and after each incident, will announce - "Well, it's time to go home." No apologies will ever be said or given, which honestly just says so much more about the parents than their kids. Kids are gonna be kids, but they're often reflective of their parents. ANYWAY - the play structure itself is decent. Go on a weekday, not weekend. Stay watchful of entitled Newtonian Moms.

They were able to accommodate me which was great, and I paid my fee and got the paperwork filled out. (The paperwork was 100% as if I was a parent filling it out for my child. Kind of weird, but not the worst so I just moved on). When I showed up (maybe 10 mins early), there was no one there to greet me. The whole place was full of kids and I didn't see any adults, so I started to worry that I showed up on the wrong day or time, but once the class time officially started, I saw a group of people who were warming up on trampolines. Since I wasn't greeted and there wasn't anyone who was clearly in charge, I assumed class started. I interrupted two people who looked like they may work there, and they said the class had started - and I could go join the others. They gave me some simple instructions on how to warm up and then I was on my own. The class itself was most enjoyable because of the other attendees. They realized that I wasn't sure what to do and they helped me figure things out. The coach was less helpful and I felt very out of place- she never introduced herself to me, or to the other members of the class. I did pay $40 for the class, so I expected at least a greeting and maybe a little bit of guidance on how to work my way into things. The class does have a lot of different workouts and combination of floor exercise and bars, balance beam, etc. so I did feel like I had a decent workout and learned a little bit about gymnastics. Personally, I felt that the experience was fine, but I wasn't overly impressed with my first time, so I decided it wouldn't be a fit for a regular weekly class.

There are plenty of benches for weary caregivers to rest while the kids run around and burn off that endless supply of energy. There are two play structures, both with slides and an array of climbing structures separated by a fence. One side for tots and one for older kids. There's a substantial set of swings (6 total - one for all ages). The playground is adjacent to a set of large baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts. There is no parking lot but I've never had trouble finding an on street space on beautiful LaGrange street. Its proximity to the plenty of shops and restaurants along Centre Street lend to making the visit to the playground a multi-purpose outing. I know how much effort it took to get the kids loaded up and out the door - so let's make the most of it! While it can get busy, it's never been so overwhelmingly crowded that my introverted personality couldn't handle it. I've always been very comfortable with the amount of kids and guardians. This is our favorite playground in the city so far, it has become our regular spot.

And also, after you expressed these two wrong statements, you tried to justify that your program and staff were not prepared to handle a kid with disabilities. My kid only needs time to feel comfortable in any activity; for the rest, he is an exceptional and incredible kid, like any other kid with any behavioral challenge. I can't imagine what would happen if a family with a kid with a severe condition arrived at Olympia Fencing Center in Cambridge, MA. And Julia is there! For the rest, the coaches of your center are great. Yes, I behaved incorrectly to interact with a respectful person, but I was in front of a discriminative person; that cataloged my kid without knowing him as someone who cannot be part of a fencing program. That was the trigger point, Julia. Julia, thank you for the lollipops you gave to my kids. A lollipop doesn't make you good or bad, but your expressed words reflect your beliefs and values. You are a discriminative person! And you are correct in your reply; that is something I will legally check if the City of Cambridge and the State of Massachusetts will support that a seven years old kid is not allowed to be part of a program, as you said, "for his disability."
